Chapter 3 3

Isabella POV:

The men took me to a mansion, I kept looking at the house as I was pulled in.

But all I could think of was what to do next.

There's no way they are letting me go and Mike's friends saw them take me away and for the fact I didn't try to fight back.

They will tell Mike a whole different story.

As I was led into the house, I was greeted by a tall, dark-haired man with piercing green eyes. He looked me up and down, and I felt a shiver run down my spine.

"I'm Fed, the head of this family," he said, his voice smooth and cold. "Welcome to my home."

I swallowed hard, my mind racing as I tried to figure out a way to escape.

But before I could think of anything, I was led down a long hallway, the walls covered in paintings and tapestries.

We stopped in front of a large wooden door, and Fed opened it, revealing a large room with a roaring fireplace.

I was pushed inside, and the door slammed shut behind me.

I whirled around, my heart pounding in my chest. The room was empty.

No one or anything except from the fire.

Letting out a breath, I looked back at the door.

Before looking around the room.

No windows, just walls.

The smell of blood filled my nose, making me step back from where the smell was coming from.

Inside the room, I heard someone groan.

Without thinking I walked toward the door.

The groan continued but all I could feel was how hard my heart kept racing.

"Uhm hello?" I called out in a whisper.

But the groans continued.

I wondered if I should go closer to the sound or wait here.

The door opened, and the men walked in.

All looking at me like I was a kid.

"What now boss?" The one on the left asked, tilting his head.

"We could just kill her." Another said, making me snap my head toward him, my eyes wide.

"No, she didn't see anything that happened." The middle guy said.

"So why did you fucking bring her here?" Another asked.

The middle man stayed quiet watching me.

"I just wanted to keep her." He said that that was the most normal thing to think of.

"Keep her, keep her, what tf is your problem, you don't keep people, especially women." The one that said they should kill me said.

The middleman looked at him before nodding and then looked at me.

"I don't care, I'm keeping her and that's finally, now give her a room, we will talk well in the morning." The middle man said before walking out of the room.

The three men looked at themselves.

Then the one that said they should kill me, snapped his head toward me.

He gave me a look before walking away, another man Right behind him.

"Come on, let's go." Another man said with a sigh.

Then grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the room.

I looked back at the room, where I heard the groans.

Only to see someone's hand pulling out from the darkness like the person was trying to reach out to me.

But the door closed behind me.

We walked around the house until we got to the last step.

The man whom I still didn't know his name turned toward me, and then pushed a door open.

As the door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit room, my heart raced with uncertainty.

The man motioned for me to enter, his expression unreadable.

Inside the room, a single, flickering light bulb cast shadows on worn-out furniture. The man gestured towards a small, unkempt bed.

"This will be your room. Don't try anything stupid," he warned, his eyes scrutinizing me.

With that, he closed the door, leaving me alone in the dim space.

As I heard the distant echoes of conversation in the house, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was now entangled in something far beyond my control.

I cautiously explored the room, finding a tattered blanket on the bed and a small, dusty window that barely let in any light.

Thoughts of escape and confusion swirled in my mind as I wondered about the mysterious circumstances that brought me here.

The distant voices outside hinted at a complex web of relationships among the captors.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of vulnerability, isolated in this unfamiliar place.

The sound of footsteps approached, and the door creaked open once again, revealing the middleman.

"Listen carefully," he began, his tone more composed than before.

"I didn't kill u for a fucking reason if I were you, I'll follow everything I said, don't annoy me or act like shit, got it."

Without waiting for a response, he closed the door, leaving me alone with more questions than answers in the dimly lit room.

Hours passed in solitude, each minute feeling like an eternity. The muffled sounds of conversations and occasional footsteps outside the door left me on edge.

I couldn't shake the eerie feeling that I was a pawn in a game I didn't understand.

Sighing I turned around, trying to get some sleep.

But I couldn't, I felt like I was going to die or someone was coming back.

I don't even know these people's names, except from the Fed guy, the rest I have no idea who they are.

Eventually, exhaustion took its toll, and I drifted into an uneasy sleep.

Maybe, when I wake up everything is going to go back to normal.

I just couldn't stop thinking of the hand I saw in the room.

The groans.

The Men.

And now Mike.

He's going to find me and kill me.

That's if this man let me go.

Because the middle man said he was keeping me.

With those thoughts again, I groaned loudly sitting up.

Why me, why can't I escape this?

I looked at the window in the room, making my way toward it, I noticed the Grass around.

I could just jump out and run.

But I knew that wasn't easy, even though It looked easy to do.

With a breath, I walked back to the bed.

I needed to get some sleep.
