Chapter 4

ALANA POV

He was taken to the guest room. He noticed earlier that his house was big. It's the same as his Papa's house. Maybe like his Papa, this man is also capable.

"Get some rest and later, I'll see if I can talk to your Dad, okay?"

"Thank you."

"Alright, goodnight."

"Wait a minute."

"What?"

"Um, if you talk to Papa, can you please tell him to pick me up? I'll just stay there at his house for now."

"I'll do my best so don't worry. Goodnight." This closed the door.

He went to the bed and immediately lay down. He felt the pain in his body maybe because of the thought that he was sitting outside the house.

Thinking that he would wait outside until morning, he was relieved to see her come out the door. The shock on his face was obvious when he saw her. He was ready to explain because he might have thought he was a thief, but he was not. He was given a towel and sent to his house.

He was just walking around earlier and seemed to be thinking while he was drying his wet hair. He was asked things like where did he come in and why was he here. That's when he remembered that there was a letter that his father was sending for him.

When the man read the letter, his reaction was shocked. He didn't know what was in the letter but it didn't seem like he read it well.

He thought that the man and his father knew each other, it was true, but he said he didn't say that he would live here first. He was surprised and very worried because he didn't know anything and his Papa hurriedly packed his things and left them at the man's house.

He wants to go home. He really wanted to because he no longer understood what his father was doing. But, there is a place in his mind that he cannot go home to. What he is holding on to is his father's promise to send him to school and his mother's promise that he will be able to finish school. But why is this happening?

He feels himself shrinking. I think this is the first event that he was very sad except for the loss of his mother on his birthday.

His tears flowed. He feels that he is alone. If only her mother was here, she would still be happy today. As long as he can be with his mom, he is happy. But, he woke up to the reality that not everything that happens in life is purely happy. He thought he could be on his own, that he would be fine with his father but he was going to leave him with someone he didn't even know.

As he was crying, he didn't notice that he fell asleep.

"Oh my god, dude! It's freaking three in the morning!" it growled.

He is uneasy because of what happened just now, he doesn't know what his next plan will be when the sun rises! He needs to find a solution immediately. So he called his friend Howard.

"You're good at finding missing people, aren't you?"

"So?"

"I need you to find Francisco Ramos."

"Ah, that man? Why? Disappearing? Have you run away?"

"Yeah. Besides that, his son is here."

"What the---? Really?!"

"Really! Oh my god! If only I knew this---"

"Hold up! I kept waking up. Franciso's son is there at your house? At this hour?"

"I thought she was a burglar or maybe just lost, but when I found out why she was here, I couldn't believe it. Francisco made his son a collateral."

"No way."

He also couldn't believe it. "I read his Papa's letter. This can't be real. I don't need people, what I need is money. How am I going to do with that woman?! How many millions does that man owe me? then the one he's going to pay for is his own son? This is stupid."

"Just relax. Oh, I'll help you find that man. I can't help you with his son. What's she look like? Is she beautiful? Sexy?"

"I don't have time of your nonsense, Howard. I felt bad for that gir---woman. She has no idea that her own father drove her away just because of debt. He was a dumb man giving his daughter away for run away from the problem."

"Well, what's important to that man is himself. He will do whatever it takes to escape you."

"If it's possible, do that and I'll make it work. I really need to see that man and get his son back."

"Roger. Later, I'll go to your office so I can chat a lot more. Or I'll just go to your house so I can meet that mystery woman."

"No. See you in the office. Bye."

"Dude! You're such a killjo---" he immediately turned off the call. He needs to solve his problem as soon as possible. He doesn't want to be held responsible other than his businesses.

"This is very interesting. And weird!" said his friend Howad when he read the letter from Francisco. The man who "gave up" his own son to pay off his debt to him.

"It's awful! I need the money he borrowed not to make his son pay! This is ridiculous! What does he think of me? Will I accept pro*sti*tution?!"

To this day, he is still upset about what happened. He felt like that old man wanted him! Does he think it's easy for him to accept his son as compensation? He's not crazy yet!

Even so, he couldn't get rid of the girl right away. He could see the tiredness on his face and he was also cold because he was hanging outside while it was raining. Before he left, he called Aling Nora, the cleaner of his house, to accompany the woman first.

He promised that girl that he will find her father and he will really find that man and he will make sure that he will recover the large amount that he owed to her.

"Relax. I know women approach you so you don't need to get another woman to sleep with---"

"Will you shut up? I'm already causing a lot of problems here, you're still throwing in your jokes that aren't funny. What's the update on your search for Francisco?"

"Well, about that... I already have some information. I'll direct you. Francisco just got out of the country."

"What country?"

"It was stated on the ticket that it was going to Argentina and we found out that it only went there to leave again for another place."

"Did you track down where his next destination is?"

"Actually... No."

"You have gonna be kidding me, Howard."

"Yeah! That man is a different type. He can even single me out. His tactic is great, eh. I guess you are really serious about hiding. Besides, he also thinks that his son is enough to be collateral for his debts ."

What will he do next? And what will he do with his son?! He can't believe it that his employee wanted him. He owes him several million. As well as the scandal it involved, he was affected as well as his business! It's not just money that he has to pay her!

"So, what are you going to do now? And how about the girl?"

"I don't know. I don't have a plan B."

"Hey, are you sure Francisco's son doesn't know anything?"

"Maybe? When I first saw him, he didn't seem to know what was going on or what his father was doing. He just said that Francisco just took him home and handed me the letter."

It came to mind. "Hmm... I think it's impossible that he doesn't know anything."

"What do you mean? That father and son conspire?"

"Yeah. I mean, why did that girl agree to be taken and live in a house she doesn't even know? And you're a guy, living alone in your fabulous house. Francisco knows that, right? Maybe he's using that man used his son to... seduce you? You said she looks so innocent as if she's not eighteen years old so, maybe it's a big advantage for Francisco to use his son as collateral?"

Howard has a point. What if that girl is just complaining and the truth is, she knows the father's plan and the two are working together to unite him? But, when he first saw that girl, she seemed like someone who was too innocent. It's like no one knows much about what's going on around them. It says that the father took it to the island to teach. So, what is the truth?

"Remember Roman, not all the people around you can be trusted. There have been many people who have tried to bring you down, how much more now that they have used their own blood to unite you." This advice.

"I got it."

"Think about it. Maybe that's what will bring you down."

He must decide.

He is now alone at home because Aling Nora has to go to the market. As was his habit, he just stayed in the room while playing with the toys bought for him. This way he doesn't get bored and if he gets bored, he just goes to sleep.

He had a good breakfast earlier. He ate a lot and Aling Martha was a good cook. Get over his tiredness because for the first time, he can eat foods that he only sees in magazines. Because that's his hobby when he's with Aling Martha. It has a lot of magazines so the food he sees is appetizing.

He had been waiting for the news for several hours. Does Ser Roman know where his father is? I hope he can see his Papa so he can go home to his house. He would rather stay there than here. That's when he first set foot in the city, his Papa was always not at home so he didn't need to beg other people to let him stay. Even if he wants to go home to his real home on the island, he can't because he is keeping his promise to his mother that he will continue his studies.

He couldn't wait to get out of here.

He heard the sound of a car outside. He peeked out the window and saw the car pull in and he also saw Sir Roman get out of it. Finally, it's back home. I hope it brings good news to him.

He left the room and waited for her.

When he opened the door, he was surprised to see her. "God, you shocked me!" it exclaimed.

He didn't know what he was saying but he didn't understand it anymore. "Have you heard anything about Papa? Have you talked?" he immediately asked here.

"Sorry, but the truth is not yet."

"Huh? But you know each other, right?"

"Yes, but maybe I won't be able to see and talk to him right now."

Bad news came to him. How is it now?

"I'm sorry because I can't help you with your Papa."

"Is that so?"

"And it's sad to say but you have to leave too."

He was shocked. Get rid of him? How is this? Where is he going?

He was surprised by the last thing he said. He will be kicked out of the house.

"I really won't let you live here for a long time. First, your Papa never said anything that you will live here with me and second, I will never let another person live here in my house. Even Aling Nora, after her work she will go home immediately to to them that's why you can't stay here. You can go home. To your Papa's house."

"Hi-I don't know how to get to his house. I don't know the ins and outs of this city."

"Then, didn't you say your Papa took you from your place? Edi, just go home there. Which place so I can schedule a ship to go there."

He tried to remember the name of the island he lived on. He lived there with his mother all his life, now he doesn't remember the name of that island!

"Um, I-I don't even know where and what the name of that place is."

He seemed surprised by her answer. "You don't know? Why?"

"I know but... I can't remember. I didn't think to remember the name and where I live."

"How are you going to get home? You don't know where your Papa's address is and you don't know his name and where you live?"

"I'm sorry." it's embarrassing but that's the truth. He didn't expect to go to another place so he didn't remember anything, not even the name of where he lived. "Um, can I stay here for a few more days? I don't know the ins and outs of this city."

"I'm sorry but I can't." it immediately said.

"Can I clean your house first? I know a lot about cleaning. I sometimes help Aling Martha to clean the resort and different parts especially on the beach. I won't be a hindrance as long as I stay here first. "

It came to mind. I hope he agrees. "Sorry, it's really not possible. It's enough that Aling Nora can take care of the tasks and I don't want anyone with me in the house." He sighed. "Wait here. I'm just going to call someone who might be able to find your Papa's address. While you're waiting, organize your things, okay?"

"Alright."

He left the room first. He was preparing his things. She looks like she's going to cry at any moment because he's going to leave her. That means, when he leaves the house, he will be alone with no one to help him. He will even have problems with where he will stay and he doesn't have any money with him either!

I hope he doesn't just go with his Dad. I hope he is still on the island with Aling Martha and Ate Julia.

He lowered his luggage and placed it in front of the door. After a few minutes, the man came down. He was given a small piece of paper. "This is the address of your Papa's house."

"Thank you." he took it.

He pulled something out of his pocket. He opened the wallet and took out money. It was given to him. "I'll help you a little bit so you don't have a hard time."

A lot of money was also given to him. He thanked her. "You already know the address of your Papa's house, just go there. I'm sorry I can't take you because I have a meeting. So, you can take a taxi, right?"

"Ah...o-yeah."

"Good. So, you can leave. Be careful."

"Thank you. I'm leaving."

It just nodded in response. He carried his things out of the house until he was out the gate. He looked around on the road not knowing where he was going. His first thought was to go to the address of his father's house. Maybe he will go home there and if he doesn't, maybe he can stay there for now.

Only now did he realize his situation. He was in a place that didn't know where to go. Her confidant left her with a stranger she didn't know and kicked her out of his house.

But, he should not lose hope. His mother always said that there are many ways to solve every problem so no matter where he is, he can do it and everything will be fine.

He started walking. Sure enough, the man asked her if she knew how to ride a "taxi", she lied that she did. Because he hasn't ridden it yet.
