Chapter 5

NYX POV...

Seeing him again this close makes my heart stop. My hand that was holding the gun and my other hand that was holding the sleeve of his collar still trembled a little. I could also feel my lips trembling and my brain went blank and couldn't find words.

The whole place is chaotic. The explosions, shootings and chaos of people still continue. But in the midst of the chaotic crowd, just him and me and I feel like the whole place is freezing.

From his charcoal messy hair that covers his beautifully shaped eyebrows, his long and wavy eyelashes, his dark and dark eyes, his sharp nose with a mole in the middle, his perfect jaw and his red lips. What happened four years ago was a nightmare and I still can't believe it until now, but seeing him again f*ck I missed him.

I was surprised when he raised his hand cleanly and I didn't notice it, then my hand that was holding the gun was twisted because of throwing it far away and he stood up with all his strength so I fell to the floor.

He stood up like nothing happened and acted that he doesn't even know me. I felt a pang on my chest and I saw him take out a gun and point it at me. I closed my eyes and wait for the pain but I heard a loud bang and when I woke up, I saw the body of an armed man with a gun in his hand, who looked like he was going to shoot me.

H-he saved me?

"This is not the right time", he coldly said and suddenly his image disappeared forever. I looked around but I didn't see him. I stood up and got my gun then angrily rushed the armed man who was approaching my direction and shot him without a doubt because he was going to shoot me.

"D*mn! Where are you?", I heard Vertex's voice. I didn't answer and removed the earpiece then threw it somewhere. I loaded my gun and quickly shot the man who was about to shoot the old woman. I approached the woman and helped her take her to a place where she could hide.

"T-thank y-you", she said while trembling. I just nod at her and left her there.

"Hey! Kill her!", I heard the man say and they were shooting at me but because I was good at dodging I quickly hid behind the wall so their bullets hit the wall.

Weak.

I quickly landed on the floor and came out of hiding and slid on the floor then they were shooting. I cursed that I had no more bullets or guns. I was even insulted when someone approached me and shot me but I quickly rolled three times and stood up then kicked his gun hard and attacked him with kicks and punches. I smirked at his wounded face because of my heels. When he lost consciousness, I looked around and wide-eyed I caught Vladimir walking out of the hotel.

Without a second thought I also ran and chased after him. I didn't pay attention to the people I was pushing because of the rush. When I reached the exit, someone attacked me causing me to fall to the floor. He was going to shoot me but suddenly his forehead bled and he fell to the floor and when I looked up I saw Vera who had done it. She nodded her head and attacked the man who was near her seat.

I stood up and went out, but when I got out, I didn't see Vladimir's trace. He is totally gone. And suddenly a gun was pointed at me.

"You're a mess", the man said coldly. Even if I don't look back I know who owns that voice.

"I don't care officer..."

"Sh*t chix pre"

"Paisa miss!"

"Sir, taste that"

My hand turned into a fist after hearing those id*ots words. After I was brought into the cell, I immediately felt the eyes of my female inmates here.

I want to slap this officer hard when I remember our answer earlier. I hate him!

FLASHBACK

"You're a mess"

"I don't care officer", I replied coldly to him and then I felt a cold thing caress my hand. When I looked, this handcuffed man raised my eyebrows. I looked at him in disbelief but his face was so d*mn serious. What the hell!

"What is this?"

"Handcuffs"

"T*ng* that! Why did you handcuff me?"

"What do you think the use of handcuffs is"

Damn him! This cop is too g*go.

"I'm not doing anything!", I hissed and tried to move my hand to get rid of this stupid handcuff.

"Your gun tells otherwise Miss Leveure"

I stared at him blankly as he waved the gun I was holding earlier in front of me as if he got it from me when he pointed the gun at me. I didn't feel that because my mind was occupied with meeting Vladimir.

"You'll come with me. You'll be jailed"

"F*cking what?"

"I don't repeat words Miss Leveure"

"F*ck you!", I was disgusted with this man. His blue eyes are menacing.

"I will never f*ck you!"

"Oh d*mn you jerk!", I couldn't do anything as he dragged me into his BMW. I hate the police!

"We will wait for your sentence, if someone will sentence you"

I ignored him because I didn't feel like answering him anymore. What he says is purely auspicious. Before he turned back, he looked at me deeply. I just raised my eyebrows at him and ignored him.

"What's going on?", asked the policeman who arrived.

"Miss Leveure, be free!"

I flipped my hair after hearing that coming from an officer. I then turned outside and saw Vertex and Vera grinning. Before going out, I sneered at them all and manang glared at me. I heard the loud cheers but I just ignored it.

Before going out, I took a glance at that blue eyed officer and gave him a serious wink.

"Bye jerk!"

"Girl guess what"

"What?"

"I saw a handsome man in the meat section"

I just shook my head at the two women who were talking next to me. I'm here today at a nearby grocery store just a few blocks away from the condo I'm staying at. I noticed as early as this morning that the stock is running low and I don't want the two children to find no food.

I left them at the church because I was leaving. I won't be here for long but I just want the safety of the two children. I continue to put various can goods in the basket and also some milk for the children.

They both continued to giggle. After a while, I turned to my left side and saw the woman in the hoodie. She's definitely a girl because her brown hair is loose. I couldn't see his full face because his hoodie was covering him.

I noticed the trembling of his hands while reaching for some milk. Another fell and he looked surprised because his shoulders suddenly rose. He quickly picked it up and put it in the basket then left.

"Gosh he's the guy I'm talking about", screamed the girl next to me and when I looked at what they were looking at, my eyebrows went up. Seriously? Will I be able to see that bwesit officer until here?

His wearing a blue v-neck shirt partnered with his Levis pants and a white sneakers. He has a black Rolex on his left hand and a shade that is placed on the top of his head. He looks good and fresh. His like a model on this grocery. He's in a side view so you can see the straightness of his nose and his perfect jaw line. His clean cut hair is a bit messy that made him look dark.

I was surprised when he looked at where I was and our eyes met. I want to scoffed but I remained serious remembering the day he arrested me, d*mn! I don't know why but he seemed to be able to read my mind and suddenly he grinned mischievously. His blue eyes are cold.

"He looked at me girl!"

"B*ba did he look at me and sneer. Stop assuming"

Suddenly my eyes left the officer and I looked at the counter and saw the lady there screaming and I looked outside and saw the woman in the hoodie running quickly. Without a second thought I left the basket with only groceries and quickly went out to chase the woman.

I saw the officer following but he deviated and seemed to be heading towards his car. What a d*mn mind. The woman kept running and the people we passed were surprised by our speed. He turned into the crowded lane and I followed.

The smelly estuaries opened up to me and I frowned because there is a place like this here. She expertly runs those slippery roads and can't let go of the stolen groceries. I continued to follow and ignored the stench of the estuary.

He turned again and I followed but I was surprised by the presence of dogs. I cursed because it looks like they still have rabies. I saw her turn and saw her grin. Looks like you're the boss.

I jumped on the drum and quickly kicked it at the dogs chasing me making their way blocked. I smirked and quickly chased after the girl.

He quickly stopped and walked over to the table with drinks and without saying a word threw them at me. I cursed and quickly dodged it and it smashed to the floor. The blows spread. When he couldn't throw any more stones, he ran again.

I followed him and saw a path to the left at the end. I looked to my left and it looked like a shortcut. I smiled and took the left path. I continued to run and I just smiled when I saw his body turned back as if I was looking at where I was before and I saw his comfort.

I wasted no time and rushed at him so that he fell to the ground. He was about to stand up when I passed and quickly removed the hoodie that was covering his face. I was shocked seeing her whole pale face.

"A-agnes..."

"I'm sorry you saw me in this situation"

I just shook my head at Agnes and knelt down to match her daughter Mira. Her daughter is pretty. Innocent eyes, natural long eyelashes, cute pointed nose, her pinkish cheeks, and her natural red lips. Her straight silky black hair suits her well.

She smiled at me and I smiled at her. I sighed as I remembered the meeting Agnes and I had earlier. I can't believe we will meet. He let me stay in his small house but it was very clean and there were many flowers. He told me everything.

When I disappeared, three months passed and the bar went bankrupt. The boss was also found to be doing illegal transactions and when I heard his story earlier I could hardly believe it.

After that, everyone was separated. Never met again. He said, since I disappeared like a bubble, the bar has been unlucky. She then meets Mira's father. "I'll go ahead. We'll talk some other time. Call that number and I said you can start tomorrow. She's a good friend. I'll also tell her your state so there's no problem to think at all"

He reached out for my hand and smiled at me. I caressed her hand too and smiled a little.

"Thank you for the work, Nyx. Please forgive me for everything I did to you before"

"Don't mind those. I don't have that anymore. I'll go ahead now, thanks for the lunch earlier and the snack"

"You're always welcome here", I smiled and then Mira smiled.

"I'll see you soon Mira. Be a good girl alright"

While walking back to the grocery store, I was surprised when suddenly someone honked behind me. I turned around and saw Officer coming down.

Seriously? Will I see it again this time? Who are you?

"Did you catch the suspect?", he said in a low but cold tone. I checked him and he was still wearing the same thing. It looks like he's been looking for me for a while now.

"What are you doing here"

"Obviously to put in jail the suspect Miss Leveure"

I shrugged my shoulder and ignored him then turned away from him but before I took five steps he stopped me by holding my arm.

I raised my eyebrows and looked at him irritated. He suddenly let go of my arms and sipped then looked at me intently.

"I didn't catch the thief"

"Nice lie Miss Leveure", his lips twitched so my eyebrows rose even higher.

"You didn't catch him or let him go. I don't think you're going to go back to the store at night to get what you bought. You didn't let the thief go"

He's really good. But his so irritating.

"You know, but I'm asking. What's your purpose"

"Why did you let go"

"I'm sorry", he scoffed and looked at me even more. His blue eyes now seem like midnight.

"You'll come with me, at the precinct explain to the owner of the store"

"Jail your as* as*hole!", I hissed and turned my back. I walked irritatingly but suddenly I saw a black car stopped not far from where I was standing and suddenly I was stunned when I recognized who was inside the car.

Even from afar, I can still recognize him. I can feel his intimidating stare and his cold presence just like the night wind. After that, he closed the window of his car and left.

"What are you doing, Vladimir? Why can't you face me? I'm clueless..."
