"Sit down." Once again the man ordered Alexa to sit down. It seemed Arley did not like it when people were too slow.
"Yes, sir." Alexa sat in the chair across from Arley's desk.
"What is your name?"
"N-my name?" asked Alexa as she looked at Arley in confusion.
"It's not. The vase!" Arley's voice sounded a little high.
Making Alexa even more nervous. However, she didn't want to be made to cry by her future boss like the previous woman.
"Sir, if you want to know my name, just read this file," Alexa said, handing over her application.
"How old are you?"
"Already changed the question again. You don't even know my name," Alexa said.
Really, Alexa wanted the man in front of her to reject her outright. And ask him to leave the office immediately, at least she had a reason to give Ef if she was not the person Arley Williams needed.
Arley was furious with Alexa's answer.
"What is your experience and why would you even think of applying to be my assistant?" Arley asked. The man stared into Alexa's light blue nether regions, as if he wanted to enter them.
Under the table, Alexa's hands interlocked to hold back her nervousness.
"Answer everything!"
"Alright. Please calm down a bit," Alexa said, then took a breath and let it out softly.
"My name is Alexa, I'm 22 years old. I don't have any experience, so I want to work here. To gain experience," Alexa replied casually. She didn't need to be as serious as someone in an interview, because she hoped she wouldn't get hired.
From the gaze that was originally fixed on Alexa, Arley now focused on her laptop and simply ignored Alexa, after hearing Alexa's answer.
"He didn't say anything, really weird," Alexa muttered, which of course was still audible to Arley's ears.
"You're in."
The two words that came from Arley's mouth made Alexa's eyes widen. Had she not heard wrong? How could a company as big as the Williams Group. Accept an employee with no experience whatsoever.
"Sir, you must be joking. I have no experience as a personal assistant. I don't know what to do," Alexa said, hoping Arley would change his mind.
"I'm really looking for someone with no experience!" Arley dashed Alexa's hopes, without even looking at Alexa.
"I'll get the contract papers ready for you to sign."
As for Alexa, she sat there staring at Arley. She didn't know whether to be happy or sad.
"Come out of my room! Your room is to the left of this room," Arley said very coldly.
Alexa immediately walked out of Arley's room, she was also lazy to linger with a cold and deceitful man.
She walked into the room he said was his.
"Great," Alexa said.
"What am I supposed to do in this room?" mumbled Alexa with a confused face.

When the bedroom door opened, Alexa immediately turned her head in that direction. Where her mommy was standing looking at her.
"Hi Mom," Alexa greeted with a smile.
"Where have you been all day? Been gone since morning and just came home now, can't you see it's almost night!" The woman named Daisy with shoulder-length hair walked up to Alexa.
"Mom, this morning I applied for a job at a big company, and I've been accepted. I'll start working tomorrow," Alexa said excitedly.
"Mommy won't have to worry about me being unemployed anymore," Alexa added.
Daisy has always asked Alexa to work immediately, after graduating from college somehow her daughter continues to stall for time to pursue her goals that her daughter has always wanted.
"Work? Is it in a fashion company and you're the designer?" Daisy asked enthusiastically.
Alexa shook her head in response to Daisy's question.
"No." Alexa scratched her head.
"So?"
"I work for a company... interior design services," Alexa replied. She was very worried about her mommy's response.
Working in an interior design company was definitely not what she wanted, she wanted to be a fashion designer, not a designer of aesthetically pleasing rooms.
"Oh my God, didn't Mommy hear wrong?" Daisy's body suddenly weakened, hearing that her son was working in a company that was not his specialty.
"If this is how it's going to end, you'd better work for our family company," Daisy said.
"I don't want to Mom!" refused Alexa.
Alexa got up from her bed and walked over to the couch and sat on it.
"I for one refuse to work for our family company. Yes, just one, I want to be independent and-"
"Independent you say? Look at you now, where does your pocket money come from if not from us? Your style is too high to be independent!" Daisy was already getting annoyed with Alexa.
Daisy sat down next to Alexa.
"Now tell me, what is the name of the company you work for?" Daisy asked looking seriously at her daughter.
"Mommy doesn't need to know, it's just bigger than our family company," Alexa replied.
At this moment Alexa had just stepped out of the elevator that took her to the floor where her room was located. She had already seen the broad back of the man who was now her superior, walking in front of her.
Seeing Arley made her think of Ef.
"Oh my God, I haven't reported that I've been accepted to work at sani. How is this? What are my duties today and what should I report to Mr. Ef?" Alexa carried her footsteps with these questions lodged in her head.
Until the next second, she felt a pain in her forehead. Because, she had just hit something hard. Alexa smothered her own mouth when she saw what she had just hit.
"M-sorry, I didn't mean to." Alexa quickly realized in her mind that she was currently in the Williams Group company.
"How careless. Hurry up and go to your room, Alvin is waiting!" Arley exclaimed.
Alexa knitted her eyebrows together. "Who is Alvin?"
Instead of answering Alexa's question, Arley walked away from the woman. According to him, meeting Alexa that early in the morning put him in a bad mood.
"Uh, why did he just leave?" grumbled Alexa.
"Mister! Wait!" shouted Alexa.
As she was about to chase after Arley when suddenly her cell phone rang, Alexa was forced to undo her intention and immediately grabbed her cell phone from inside her bag.
"Mr. Ef?" She hurriedly answered the call.
"Hello, sir," Alexa greeted.
"Meet me right now in front of your office, I know you've started work! I'll tell you
your duties in the office."
"But sir-"
Before Alexa could object, Ef had already ended the call.
"Oh my God, how is this?"
