Chapter 7 006

She went to her class and as usual, they were staring at her. She didn't mind, she didn't care. Her mortal enemy looked at her and scoffed.

She brought out her new favorite novel and started reading. It was at times like this she wished she had a cellphone or an headset. She did have, rather, she had but her mother took it from her for a very dumb reason. Her elder sister used more electronics than she had ever used in this life, but she was the one that got all of her electronics seized?

She began to read the book until her homeroom teacher entered. They all stood up to greet her and she focused on only Leila.

"Leila? You skipped school yesterday, are you fine now?"

"Yes ma'am." Leila said. She was fine to begin with. Other than wanting to commit suicide, being raped, lied against, framed, hated by her mother, she was totally fine and everything was going great. It wasn't that much big of a deal.

The whole class murmured when she finished responding. She could bet her eyes that it was her they were murmuring about. Talk about obsession.

"Quiet. See me during lunch break."

Well there goes the plans she made for lunch. She planned to continue reading her novel in peace and quiet while she snacked on something, she hasn't decided yet but she knew she was going to be reading and eating but now her whole plan has flopped.

"Ohhhhhhh. Leila is in trouble." The whole class echoed while their teacher glared at them and they became quiet immediately.

"Yes ma'am." She managed to say. She wasn't happy with her plans being ruined because of some stupid thing she didn't even do, but she couldn't disobey Miss Demi, she was the only one who cared about her in this school.

She stared into space as her teacher addressed the class. She hasn't seen those guys that raped her yesterday. What happened to them after she left? She had completely forgotten that were in the same school with her. What did that kind stranger that saved her do to them? He told her to close her eyes and she couldn't see anything, so she just assumed he beat them up but what if he actually killed them?

Was she feeling sympathy for those bastards? They raped her in the weirdest way possible that she didn't even know if that act could be labelled as rape or not. It was the most disgusting act ever. They forced her to do things she didn't want to do, of course it was rape.

When classes were over, her teacher reminded her about lunch and she nodded. She didn't exactly want to go, but she had no choice. She went to the staff room during lunch but no one was there except her homeroom teacher.

Her teacher was busy with marking some class work and was busy with other things, so Leila knocked and she looked up from what she was doing.

"Ah, Leila. Come in. Come in." Her teacher said.

"Yes ma'am." She was frustrated. She would rather be anywhere but here. She stood still and bowed her head slightly wondering why she called her and why she was just staring at her and not saying anything. She was hungry, and she was supposed to be busy with things like reading and other stuffs.

"Have your sit, Leila."

"Thank you, ma'am."

"Do you know why I called you here?"

Leila could guess it was absolutely about that video but she decided to act ignorant about it.

"No, ma'am. I have no idea what this is about." She lied. Her head was still slightly bowed but she could still see her homeroom teacher staring at her. Just get it over with, bitch. I don't have all day. Leila thought to herself.

Leila heard her homeroom teacher chuckle softly. She was uncomfortable, she wanted to leave here as soon as possible. Lunch break was almost over.

"Raise your head, Leila. We are alone." She did as she was told and began to raise her head slowly. "And please, call me Miss Demi. Being called ma'am makes me feel old."

"Yes ma'am... I mean, Miss Demi."

"Have you seen the video of you that have been circulating? I mean the video of you touching yourself with a dildo?" Miss Demi asked as she felt uncomfortable saying it.

"Yes, Miss Demi. Mom showed me yesterday." She replied. She knew it, she knew it was about the video, what else was it going to be about? She was even surprised that the school's principal hasn't called her into the office yet.

"How is she? Your mom I mean? Is she still the same?"

Miss Demi tried her best to make her mom change towards her but it just got worse. She had always had her back since day one.

"She is...cool." She lied again. She didn't want to waste her time here catching up on old times and listen to her tell her how mothers should act towards their children and all that.

"I see. That's nice to hear." Demi said. Leila had had enough. If after two minutes she wasn't done talking, Leila swore to walk out on her.

"I'm so sorry about what happened to you. I know it is normal for teenagers to want to feel pleasured and have a feeling of what sex feels like. That stuff was supposed to be private but it was leaked out. That must have been terrible for you."

"It isn't me. I am not the one in the video." Leila revealed. Miss Demi was shocked and couldn't believe what she had just heard.

"Leila, I know how miserable you must be feeling right now but it isn't really nice to deny those things. The Principal was about to give you a suspension but I pleaded on your behalf and explained things to him."

Explained what to him? That it was natural for teens to do those things? No wonder she hadn't heard anything from the Principal. Leila was furious. She for once thought Miss Demi was the only one who would believe her if she ever told her anything, but here she was doubting her.

"I was quite upset earlier when I found out, miserable even and it was even worse when I was rap..." Leila thought hard before she revealed to Miss Demi that she was raped yesterday. She did want to leave here on time, and opening up about her rape incident was only going to delay her the more.

"You were what? Leila if there is anything you want to say, you can trust me."

'Hell no, Demi Lovato. You didn't believe me earlier so why would I ever tell you about something as sensitive as this?' Leila thought to herself. She laughed as she called her Demi Lovato in her head.

"I don't know how to say this but yeah, I did try to commit suicide."

"Suicide?" Miss Demi gasped as she covered her mouth with her hands. Yep! Leila expected the overreaction. "Oh my gosh, are you okay? Are you hurt?"

She was a little bit glad that someone cared about whether she was fine or not, but this wasn't the time for admiration.

"I'm fine, Miss Demi. It just felt overwhelming to actually be framed for something like that. And like I said, I am not the one in the video.

"I'm sorry about this, Leila. And I am extremely sorry for not believing you earlier. I feel so terrible."

"It's fine. No one would believe that anyway." Who would ever believe such a thing?

"That is just terrible. Do you suspect anyone for doing this? Do you think it is Tasha and her girls?"

Leila hadn't even thought about that, but it was going to make a lot of sense if they were the ones. She didn't care anyways, that was all in the past.

"It doesn't matter anymore, Miss Demi. That's all in the past. I'm doing great as you can see. Shit happens, and life goes on."

"But Leila if you ever want to talk about anything, you can always..."

"If there is nothing else left to say, I will take my leave now. Thanks for believing me." She smiled, stood up left.

Ten more minutes before lunch break was over. She could make it, all that was left was to find a quiet place to read but will she get there in time? Give and take it would take her approximately five minutes to search for a place to read, but what if she ran? She knew it was against the rules to run in the hallway, but at this point it didn't matter.

Leila removed her shoes, got ready and sprinted through the hallway. Only 9 minutes remaining, it was a race against time.
