YOON-JI'S POV,

→ JUNIOR CLASS (11TH GRADE).

"Hah! Yoon-ji is so cute, I could watch her all day" Jace Park, Eric's brother said dreamily.

"Dude, if you like her then just go and tell her" Derek, one of Jace's best friend advised him.

"Yeah! You don't have all the time in the world to get her yunno" Alfred, his other best friend said.

"I know, it's just that I get shy whenever she's around me" Jace said, glancing at me.

"Just look over there, Drake just placed a chocolate bar and letter on her table" Derek pointed out.

"And what's this for?" I asked abruptly when I saw the chocolate on my table.

"To express my feelings for you" Drake said with a smile.

"Like an expresso drink? Get this trash outta my table" I mocked irritatedly.

Drake picked up the chocolate and letter, sighing sadly as he walked away.

"OMG! She rejected him, that means you still have a chance to get her" Alfred stated with a smile.

"That's what I'm afraid of... Rejection" Jace sighed.

"And what if she doesn't reject you?" Derek asked.

I rested my head on my desk, feeling disappointed. 'Doesn't Jace notice me?' I thought almost sobbing when I heard a thud on my table.

I looked up and saw my favourite strawberry drink and a small piece of paper and then Jace's retreating figure.

'Hah! Could this be from him?' I thought, sitting up as I smiled.

I looked in his direction blushing hard

"Bro, she smiled when she saw your gift... And now she's blushing" Alfred gasped as Jace looked at me again and this time, our eyes met as we stared intently into each other's eyes.

I uncorked the drink as I took a sip from it, savoring it's taste and licking my lips.

"Dude, she drank it... You're in luck today" Derek teased.

"Gosh! I can't stand it when she licks her lips like that. I just feel like kissing her right now" Jace groaned lightly.

I looked down at the piece of paper and picked it up, slowly unfolding it. It reads:

'Hey Cutie,

I couldn't bring myself to tell you that I like you so much. I'm also inviting you over to my house for a game night and sleepover 😘 tonight.

Jace.

Though, this wasn't my first time of going to his house for a sleep over but this time, his invitation felt different.

FLASHBACK BEGINS...

A year ago...

"Welcome to my humble abode... The way to my room is this way" Jace said taking hold of my hand as I smiled.

"Whoa!" I mouthed when I got into his room.

"You like it?" Jace asked, staring dreamily at me and I nodded.

Few hours later...

I was glancing through his family album; he looked really cute as a baby, toddler and juvenile.

But at that moment, he looked cuter and I found myself staring at him.

I leaned in and kissed his cheek softly as he flushed slightly red. He pulled me into his arms, hugging me as we cuddled and slept in that position.

FLASHBACK ENDS...

I smiled after recalling those sweet memories. My phone chimed signifying a notification.

I took out my phone from my bag. It was a message from Jace:

💬 'I'm guessing that you just recalled our first sleep over, I really love your smile. If you want us to create more cuter memories then come to my house by 6pm... See ya.

💬 'Sure, my parents went for a business trip so I'll take permission from Unnie and get back to you'

💬 'Okay... Waiting'

I went out of the messaging app as I dialed my sister's number, calling her. She picked the call at the third ring.

📞 "Hello Unnie... I called to take permission from you"

📞 "Why? Are you going anywhere?" Jasmine asked.

📞 "Yeah... Going for a sleepover at Jace's place... Is that okay?" I asked pouting like she could see me.

📞 "Okay, be careful and don't go out late" She cautioned.

📞 "I'll be there by 6pm" I said.

📞 "Okay, And what do I always say?"

📞 "My Unnie loves me no matter what... Love you too" I said as I blew her a kiss.

"She talks to her sister in the cutest way" Jace said dreamily.

💬 'My Unnie granted me permission... So I'll see you tonight'

💬 'Okay see ya 😍'

I put my phone into my bag and 'CHIME'- it was the bell for school closure. I picked up my bag, leaving the class, alongside other students.
