Chapter 4 But I have an offer for you

At 7:25am she was ready and saw the car waiting outside already. She got out of her apartment only to see her neighbors outside the compound gossiping. It was mostly the women who gathered outside to gossip about people or things that doesn't concern them.

" that car is very expensive, I wonder who it is here for?" one of the women who was in her forties asked as the other women also nodded and looked around curiously.

" hmmm, it must be Bella. That girl is truly something else, I saw this car drop her off last night" A younger lady said to the women making them talk the more.

Bella wondered what else these women were fond of doing aside gossiping and backbiting.

She totally ignored them and walked out towards the car leaving the women's mouth in awe. The driver upon seeing see greeted her respectfully making her a little embarrassed. He opened the door of the car for her letting her in. Despite entering the car yesterday, it still felt so good entering the car and how comfortable it is.

She found it hard to get used to being exposed to such fancy and elaborate lifestyle that is the way of the rich.

She sighed and tried to come to term with being in contact with one of the rich people in the country. The driver started the car and her journey soon began.

In less than thirty minutes, the car soon approached a gigantic mansion which took her breath away . So this was the famous Glamorous Estate built by the Popular Jake Perry the grandson of The Old man.

Jake gave this estate to the old man on his sixty years birthday which was talk of the town for a long long time.

The drive from the entrance of the estate to the main mansion took a few minutes giving Bella the opportunity to see the Glamorous Estate and how beautiful the place is.

The place is indeed special especially for ordinary people like her who only got to see the Estate from television or the social media . But here she is taking a ride around the same Estate many people dream of entering or even seeing real life.

" Ma, we have arrived" The driver's voice jerked her off from her thoughts.

"Alright, thank you" He opened the door for her and she stepped down from the car and was led into the house where she was given a first lady treatment.

She was surprised at how respectful the workers were.

This was the first time thay she was receiving such special treatment in her life.

She arrived the parlour and was stunned .

It was largest open space which has seen before, all the artworks in it only added to it's beauty.

"wow!" She exclaimed at how breathtaking the place was. Wasn't this best adventure of her life?

" master will be here with you shortly, please have your seat" One of the maid said and left her alone in the parlour.

Bella was amazed at how big the place was, it was the largest form of space she has seen in a house before. The artworks that decorated the place added more beauty to the wonderful piece.

Although the maid had told her to have her seat, she was too scared and nervous to sit down.

To her, if she destroyed anything here ,even if she was sold they won't be able to get the actual amount to but it back.

"my dear, why are you not sitting?" she heard the old man's voice from behind making her turn to see him with his charming smile.

This man didn't look aged at all, he was looking younger than his age. Hmmm. Money indeed made people look ten years younger.

"I just arrived here sir" She replied him with a smile at well which immediately melted his heart.

" I'm glad you honoured my invitation, please have your seat" The man said and sat closer to her.

" Do you need something sir? " Bella was curious to why the old man had called her over to discuss something.

" My dear, you remind me so much of my late wife Anabella. She is the kindest woman I have ever met in my entire life, she was sweet and patient" The old man said sweetly .

He was with a smile like he was looking at his wife. It made Bella really happy that the old man had really loved his wife. It must be hard to lose your other half.

" I want to help you Bella, you were kind to me and even if you think that you only did a small thing for me, I want to repay your kindness"

Bella was gradually getting to know the old man better, despite being rich he is very kind and caring towards people. Just because she helped him at the restaurant, he chose to repay her greatly.

"sir, I did what every person with a functioning heart and conscious would have done. And by the way, you don't know me sir " Bella said.

"I know a lot about you especially after meeting you yesterday. Your full name is Bella Grace Smith. the daughter of Late Mr and Mrs Smith who passed away five years ago in a road accident. You have a younger brother named Peter who is studying medicine in New York City while you are studying Accounting here in California. You work tirelessly everyday to support yourself and your brother through school "

" you recently broke up with your boyfriend Henry Lan and you wish to work under the Perry group of Industries after graduation "

By the time the old man was done, Her mouth fell open. The old man just read her life like he had a book in hand. He sure had investigated her and knew her so well.

"wow!" this was the second time she has exclaimed since she entered the mansion.

"You don't need to be worried Bella. but I have an offer for you" The old man said making Bella curious.
