Chapter 3 03

After listening to what Rita told him, Liam immediately become very angry , he walked up to where she stood closing the space between them.

"What did you say?" He asked.

"I said, I want to divorce you." She says.

The next second, Liam grabbed her arms tightly that when she tried to free herself from him, she couldn't.

Glancing at the pale lady before him, Liam was anxious to know what she was planning on her mind, and his eyes were fixed on her as if they wanted to tear her skin apart.

Although, he did not know her too well but in this eight years of their marriage, he was well aware of her feelings for him and how she was so crazy in love with him. That no matter how hard he tried to make her understand that he was not in love with her, she was still so crazy in love with him.

But today, she was suddenly asking for a divorce. What could have gone wrong now?

After sharing the bed with him, and even after claiming the tittle of his wife and Mrs. Wilson, sharing his fortune and living a luxurious life, she suddenly wanted to divorce him.

Even after being responsible for Joey's death, she still had the audacity to ask of divorce from him. What did she mean?

"What silly games are you playing now, huh?" He asked, giving her a cold and unapproachable look.

The room that was once quiet was now echoing his voice, it was so loud that the servants could hear the conversation between them, yet Liam did not care.

"You must be kidding!" Liam said.

Rita knew it would all result to this and somehow she became scared of what he might do to her, yet recalling what she went through in her past life and all the sufferings, she summoned up more courage. It was now or never.

"I'm not kidding with you and not trying to play any games, the truth is I am sick and tired and I think it's high time I let it go. For this eight years, I have done my duty as your wife but not once was I appreciated nor accepted. I had high hopes that I could one day have a place in your heart but this is clearly a big lie. Now I feel it's high time we get divorced. I want to divorce you right now, Mr Wilson." She said.

The way she addressed him as Mr. Wilson sent shivers down Liam's spine. In the past Rita could not talk back at him and was as obedient and gentle as a dove, but he doubted the woman in front of him.

This was the first time that he saw her proving stubborn, he wondered if she had always been like this and only hid her true colors to herself. Her behavior was behind his expectations. She was so different and was another kind of lady to him.

Liam remained quiet, and kept starring at her. Suddenly, he seems to sense that there was something wrong with her today.

Rita had only stared at him with so much love in her eyes before, but now she looked at him without any emotions attached. Furthermore, her tone while taking to him was now indifference and no longer calm and seducing unlike before.

Although it was hard for him to know the reason why she changed all of a sudden, he was not bothered about that and also did not care about the divorce.

He loosened his tie on his shirt and said, "And what made you think you can divorce me so easily huh? It is not in your power to divorce me Rita. Also, you have always wanted to become the daughter in law of this family and lived a very luxurious lifestyle, what is making you to change your mind now? You could have rejected to marry me in the beginning but because of your greed for wealth, you gave in easily. Now get one thing straight, I will never divorce you . You are the main reason why Joey never became my wife, so you will continue to become my wife and feel the pain of your actions. I will make you suffer until you would wish for death to take you away instead." He said.

She became alarmed and felt a cold air of hatred and burning desire for revenge.

She was stunned after what he told her, then she gradually shook her head and screamed angrily, " Never! I will not allow that. I want a divorce right now. I want to divorce you Liam Wilson. I don't want to be your wife anymore." She said.

She could not tolerate it anymore. What if what happens in her previous life took place again. She would not sit and allow that to happen again. She could not stand and tolerate his indifference and cruel treatment to her anymore. She just wanted to be free from the shackles that Liam was putting her in.

No matter what, she must divorce this man.

While thinking of what to do, Liam turned with the intention to leave but she stopped him.

"Wait.."

She grabbed his brown suit and kneel down before him with tears in her eyes, "Please I'm begging you Liam, just let me go. I don't want to continue this marriage any more. I am begging you." She said.

Yet the man was unmoved by her pleading. Glancing at her while begging him, he frowned and violently yanked her hands from his suit.

"I think you are sick. Take her to her room now." He orders the servants

"Yes young master Liam."

The servants did not wait any more seconds and hurried to Rita on the floor.

"Miss please.." trying not to be rude, the servants offered to carry Rita up from the floor.

However, Rita shook her head and refused to stand up from the floor. But yet refusal was invalid, because as they saw Liam looking at them with an angry expressions, they had no option but to drag her from the floor.

Since her marriage to him, she has had a loveless marriage and seeing the way she was treated coldly by Liam, this gave the servants the chance to disrespect her too. So they dragged her roughly, not caring if she was hurt or not.

She struggled to free herself but the two servants hiding her were too strong for her to handle, so she was dragged roughly.

As she was being dragged to her room, she was crying and screaming In the whole of the villa, "Liam Wilson, I don't want to go back to my room, please let me go. I want a divorce please."

While struggling with the servant, she hit her leg on the table and her left leg began to bleed immediately.

Being confused if it was truly an accident or she did it on purpose for him to pity get, he walked to her and place a resounding slap on her face.

Then, he grabbed her chin violently and stared at her angrily.

"You can never get to divorce or leave me, so stop trying so hard when in the end you'll fail."
