I continued to struggle to comprehend everything that was taking place in front of me as I sat in the wedding hall. Or maybe I would wake up to find that everything had been a dream. So why did he agree to be my husband?" My eyebrows furrowed as I considered myself to be nothing more than a middleman in a business transaction between two affluent families seeking their own advantage.

In all honesty, Brian's family was the primary reason he desired the marriage, not anything else. Andrew, Brian dad's has insisted it despite Brian's refusal. But promising him a huge part of his inheritance. Which will make Brian a millionaire at 25. The Rodriguez family is a well-known billionaire family, and they always get what they desire. It seems like a fair bargain for him. Though, he claim to be in love with someone else. It is my wedding day but it was looking like I lost someone so dear to me, crying out loud, and I just needed some time to gather myself. But I stood there, gasping for air. I was completely aware that everything was being done to keep my dad's business from going bankrupt, but I did not consider how much it would impact me. Seeing how sad the whole thing keeps making me feel.

Coming back to face the reality before me,

When the whole ceremony was done following what had happened between him and his lover, I looked intensely and watched him show no remorse at all as he voiced out. "Let us wrap this up and get home; I am tired and need to rest my head." He said this while stretching his body towards me. "I need to get some rest." I was still stunned by the entire experience I had just witnessed a few hours ago from the man sitting right beside me, who is now my husband. I should have believed it when I heard he was a cold beast and not capable of love.

My father's greed has brought me into a world of misery. I cannot comprehend. "Yes, we need to go home; it has been a long day for everyone." I added trying to win his heart. "Acting up like nothing strange has occurred a few minutes ago. Brian and Emily have always been there; I was just not observing all along. If only I had recognized the warning signs sooner."I observed my dad and Brian's dad chatting with other key figures, which included the CEO, government representatives, and celebrities who attended to grace the occasion.

I sat calmly from my vantage point, carefully observing the entire scenario. After they were finished, they moved closer and arrived at our separate location. "Don't they look great together, what a wonderful couple?" Andrew Rodriguez asked seemingly impressively.I could see my father nodding his head and smiling broadly in agreement with what he had just said. "Obviously, they do." "A lovely union, a match made in heaven." As the head of your household, Brian expects you to be obedient to him at all times, Aria. He advised me. "Yes, father, I will be obedient to him and follow your instructions exactly, just like a submissive daughter who pays attention to her father". "Son, love your wife and treat her well the way I always treat your mother," Brian's father offered his guidance as he went on. "Thank you, daddy," he replied, but I guess such a task will seem so daunting to him because the likelihood of him being unable to do as he was told has been repeatedly displayed in various dimensions a few hours ago.I sat down with my heart beating profusely,But,once again, how could he when Emily has him in her palm and claims to be his lover? Amid my musings, I was taken aback to hear Brian inquire about my well-being with the intention of demonstrating to both my dad and his that we were a perfect match made in heaven.

"Do you feel alright, baby? He asked, acting concerned. I was happy Brian attitude had started to change towards me. But I was still unable to comprehend the sudden change. As I turned my head and anxiously asked "Are you talking to me" "yes, dear, I am". Looking at me with his lovely charming eyes and handsome face. "I am fine" I replied, shocked by the sudden change in behavior. He was indeed a good actor. I was lost in a world of my own. Imagining my life with Brian. 'Let's leave the two love birds alone" As they moved down. Brian saw that my dad and his dad were leaving to go down to their own table. He withdrew my body from his, leaving me all to myself. Curious to know why he accepted this loveless marriage. Moving close to touch him gently. "So why did you agree to be my husband?" He looked at me coldly and with an authoritative tone. "I don't owe you an explanation, and you don't have the right to ask me". "Take your hands off me". He pushed me off.
