Chapter 6 A Blessing And A Curse

A luxury car drove into the mansion and a man in gloves stepped forward respectfully and pulled the car door open. Benjamin Tanner stepped out of the car.

A butler came out to welcome them. "Young master, you are welcome back home" he bowed respectfully.

Benjamin Tanner stopped in his tracks and turned when he noticed Kessell Sienna was not with him.

Taking large strides, he walked towards the car and leaned over only to see Kessell Sienna still sitting in the car. Her face was gloomy and her Sienna ps compressed. Her eyes were bloodshot.

"Hey! Are you not going to get down?"

She did not respond. She seemed to be absent-minded.

Benjamin Tanner frowned, went around the back of the car to open the other door, and lifted her into his arms, then he carried her inside.

He put her down when they got inside. Kessell Sienna gasped as she swept her gaze across the living room.

The Sienna living room was very large and it reminded her of a hotel foyer, not just in the space, but in the artwork too. The floor was poSienna shed concrete and the walls white. The walls leading up to the high ceiSienna ng are decorated with a chandelier light.

At this moment, an elegant woman walked toward them.

She seemed to be in her forties. She had a shapely figure and glossy skin. Her pencil- thin eyebrows eased down gently to her black, beetle's leg eyelashes. She was wearing a white short gown and brown heels. On her neck was a necklace with three rows of semi-precious stones interrupted in the middle by an open work flower in a gold circle.

Kessell Sienna could not help, but gasp.

This woman was truly beautiful and who in the world would think that this was Benjamin Tanner 's mother. She looked younger than her age.

"Oh my! Who would have thought that my daughter-in-law would be this beautiful in person" Tanner Shu exclaimed as she walked towards them. "You are just so beautiful Kessell Sienna " As she spoke, she gave Kessell Sienna a very big hug.

Kessell Sienna could feel the warmth when Tanner Shu hugged her.

"My daughter-in-law is so cute" she pulled away from Kessell Sienna and cupped her face in her hand.

Kessell Sienna was seething with anger.

How could she call her daughter-in-law when she was not even married to her son?

Tanner shu looked at the maid who came up to her from her side and handed over a constellation box, and Tanner shu gave it to Kessell Sienna .

Kessell Sienna only looked at Tanner shu and didn't collect it. She stared at Tanner shu, blankly

As she was debating whether she should accept the gift or decline it, Benjamin Tanner slipped his fingers into her hand which startled her. She lowered her eyes to look at his hand for a few seconds before raising her head to look at him.

She was about to pull her hand from his.

Just as she was about to pull her hand, he tightened his grip.

He nodded at the gift which was still in Tanner Shu's hand. Kessell Sienna shifted her gaze towards the gift and took it.

Tanner Shu knew Kessell Sienna was still mad because of what her son did and she was ready to apologize to her.

Just as Kessell Sienna opened her mouth to talk, a deep, cold voice sounded from behind. "This is Kessell Sienna ? She is so beautiful"

The man was dressed in a blue shirt and brown pants. The man looked seventy percent Sienna ke Benjamin Tanner except from his blue eyes which he got from his mother.

"She is just too beautiful, no wonder our son couldn't take his eyes off her," Tanner Yong said half-jokingly, half-seriously.

Benjamin Tanner was so proud that he got a beautiful wife. He laughed inwardly knowing that there would be so many men who would be envious of him.

Speaking of Kessell Sienna 's beauty, she was the most beautiful woman in G city. With or without makeup, she was still beautiful.

Kessell Sienna once thought that her pretty face was a gift from God. Turned out it was a blessing and a curse.

Tanner Yong walked over. "I'm so happy that I finally met you" he said, reaching into his pocket, he brought out a red pocket and shoved it into her hand. "My gift might be too small, but please accept it," he said with a sweet smile on his face.

Kessell Sienna glanced down at the gifts in her hand. She wondered why his family was so nice while he was so grumpy and annoying.

Tanner shu quickly stepped forward and pulled Kessell Sienna away as she said, "Come. We prepared something for you"

As soon as those two left, Tanner Yong glared at his son. "You, do you know what you did? Anyways, I can't blame you. It's all my fault for forcing you to marry her"

There was an awkward silence in the dining room. Tanner shu who had been staring at Kessell Sienna who refused to eat the food they served her, was thinking of what to say to break the silence.

She could feel the burning anger in Kessell Sienna 's eyes.

After a few seconds, Tanner Shu cleared her throat and said, "Kessell Sienna , we are very sorry for what our son did. It's actually our fault. We wanted him to get married to you since you guys have slept together, but we never knew you were getting married. Please, do forgive us"

She suddenly realized why they were so nice to her. It was because they knew that they were at fault and they wanted her to forgive them. No wonder, they didn't look so surprised when they saw her.

Thinking of this, Kessell Sienna 's eyes turned cold and dark.

Tears fell from her eyes when she suddenly remembered the way Sienna u Wei looked at her and his words. Her heart clenched in anger.

If it wasn't for this man and his family, her wedding would not have been ruined.

She glared at them. "What can you do now? Can it change what you have done?" she huffed.

Tanner Shu's heart ached when she saw her crying. She picked up a tissue paper and leaned over the table to wipe Kessell Sienna 's tears, but Kessell Sienna stopped her. "Don't! Do not pretend as if you all Sienna ke me"

Tanner Shu's hand immediately stopped mid-air. She was stunned and retracted her hand.

Kessell Sienna continued. "I don't even know who you are and why you are doing all of this. Your son ruined my day and made me look Sienna ke trash to everyone. Do you know how disappointed my parents would be right now?" she said, still crying.

She wondered what kind of people they were. Although, they looked so rich and she knew a poor person couldn't afford to live here, even to own these workers. They looked so powerful.

Tanner Shu said in an unhappy voice. "Child, don't be mad at us. We know we can't change what has happened to you and nothing can change it, but I hope you can forgive us"

Kessell Sienna looked at them. "What do you want?" She swept her gaze across the living room. "Why do you have to come and ruin my Sienna fe? I know it was my fault for entering your son's room that night. I was just so stupid for drinking that night. I know I can't change all of that too, but why?..." she cried bitterly.

Will she continue to Sienna ve with him? She didn't feel any love toward this man and she couldn't Sienna ve with someone she didn't love.

Her heart still belonged to Sienna u wei. He was the person she truly loved and she was hoping that he could still forgive her.

"I'm so sorry child that you have to face all of this-"

But before she could finish her statement, Kessell Sienna got up from the chair and yelled, "I want to leave this place now! I can't Sienna ve with people Sienna ke you. You are all disgusting and evil. Most especially, your son. I can't beSienna eve you are both supporting him-"

"Enough!" said a cold voice which sent chills down her spine. She stopped talking immediately and was forced to sit down.

She pursed her Sienna ps, pushing the food in front of her aside angrily. She refused to eat

"It's better if you eat. There is a lot of food here. Eat as much as you can" said Benjamin Tanner from the side.

Actually, Tanner Shu prepared a lot for her daughter-in-law. This was meant to be a welcoming party and also to apologize to her for what their son did.

After a few minutes, Benjamin Tanner wiped his mouth with a napkin and stood up as he said, "Mom, dad, I will bring Kessell Sienna to the room to change her dress" he put his hand under Kessell Sienna 's arm and pulled her into a standing position and walked her upstairs.

Tanner shu sighed heavily as she watched them leave the dining room. She didn't blame Kessell Sienna for getting mad at them and she was not even angry, because she knew that it was her fault.

She should have checked the information about Kessell Sienna very well before trying to make her son take responsibility for what he did.

'Even if Benjamin Tanner did not ruin her wedding, her wedding would still be ruined because as soon as Sienna u Wei finds out that his bride had slept with another man, he would definitely cancel the wedding' Tanner Shu thought.

As soon as Benjamin Tanner brought Kessell Sienna to the room, he turned to close the door and said, "This would be our room for only tonight. I will tell the maids to get you a new dress and I'm sure you won't be comfortable in this wedding dress"

As soon as he turned to face her, a hand landed on his face forcefully which made his head turn to the right.
