Chapter 7 Chapter The Li Family Is Doomed

Li Cheng proceeded towards the distance.

His five personal bodyguards hurriedly followed him.

Inside the Mountain gate, there was a spacious hall, which served as the office and where Mr. Zhao and his team worked.

At this moment, members of the Lei family and the Li family stood waiting at the hall's entrance.

Mr. Zhao was nearby, maintaining order.

As they spotted Li Cheng, the crowd began to move, taking several steps toward them.

"Chairman Li."

Mr. Zhao approached, nodding respectfully.

"Yes."

Li Cheng responded and patted Zhao's shoulder. "Good job today, Zhao."

"My duty." Mr. Zhao replied, his face flushed with excitement.

He knew that Chairman Li was referring to his firm stance in front of Niu Hai, and that confidence came from Li Cheng.

On the phone, Li Cheng hadn't said much, only mentioning the arrival of an important guest and the need to treat them with utmost respect.

With this message, Mr. Zhao knew exactly what to do.

"Brother Li, it's been over a decade since we last met, hasn't it?" Lei Chengwu, the elder of the Lei family, smiled and bowed.

"Chengwu, what brings a big shot like you over to my place?" Li Cheng chuckled.

"Brother Li, you know my purpose for coming," Lei Chengwu said with a hint of resignation. "I simply want to meet the descendant of my benefactor."

Li Cheng chuckled inwardly, "I thought my knowledge of Elder Brother Su was limited and one-sided, but it seems like you, Lei Chengwu, don't even recognize Elder Brother Su!"

"I understand. Thank you for the reminder, Brother Li. I won't do it again. Please convey to Mr. Su that I hope to meet with him in this lifetime. There is some ancestral connection between us." Lei Chengwu responded solemnly, then led the way back to the caravan.

"You don't even know who Brother Su is, and you claim to have a connection? This old guy has no shame!"

Li Cheng thought to himself with a sense of amusement.

Li Cheng muttered to himself in frustration.

His attention quickly shifted to the Li family members gathered there.

"Chairman Li, we've come to apologize," the head of the Li family nervously stammered, "We've committed an unforgivable mistake..."

"Ha, now that you're aware of it, why bother with the nonsense?" Li Cheng sneered coldly, "The Li family is truly digging its own grave. Let me be clear, today, you'll leave a man named Li Kun behind, and I'll have his legs broken and send him off to Africa for ten years of mining."

"If you cooperate, you might enjoy a few more good years. If you don't, starting from tomorrow, I'll unleash the full power of the Changhe Group to bankrupt the Li Group!"

These words stirred Lei Chengwu, Lei Quan, and others from afar.

"I do." Luo Luo replied, her face adorned with a shy smile.

"Mommy misses you too. Mommy will be home the morning after tomorrow. Can you guess what gift Mommy has prepared for you?" Bai Qianqian playfully inquired.

Luo Luo blinked, her bright eyes fixed intently, "What is it?"

"It's something you really like," Bai Qianqian revealed, "You'll find out when Mommy comes home. Be a good girl at home, okay? If Daddy isn't treating you well, you can secretly call Mommy..."

Bai Qianqian and Luo Luo chatted for a few minutes before hanging up to get back to work.

Meanwhile, Director Niu Hai and the rest of the crew had returned to Jinxiu Entertainment.
