Chapter 5 ESORDER

***Valentina POV

I am angry with him for not saying anything; he just stared with so much anxiety and worries in his eyes.

They lit up as they met mine, a thought of just telling him to come with me was looming behind my chaotic head.

I knew I was going crazy somehow, so I quickly walked out to the entry office, but instead of sitting their I just walked out of the office entirely.

Now in the hallway. I felt like exploding as the cracking grew to my spin and my skin rose like something was inside of me; then it happened-a sudden ramp on my arm stretched out, and my bones began to crack.

The heat grew stronger.

A growl suddenly escaped me, and an inner voice screamed in my head. I ran as fast as I could up the hallway towards the back; my cell phone and bag were at Aunty Rebecca's office, I couldn't go back, I wasn't in control of what was happening to me.

"Where was I going?" I had no idea; I was already in the woods somewhere around the back of the administrative building.

It like i needed the soft touch of the wind to course through my skin at the speed at which I ran.

I kept going and going, till I blacked out.

But I could still feel my body moving; fast, I could see in rays and blue glows, I could hear everything close to me still running.

Then finally everything blacked out; I was gone.

Am i dead?, i am in a space where nothing exists.

My mind can't establish any thought or remember anything-past, present, or future.

I am no one. Suddenly, like being reborn, everything starts coming back-memories, feelings, thoughts, knowledge, pain and love.

Everything rushes back, even the things I thought I had forgotten-memories of my childhood buried in my subconsciousness.

My very existence comes to a standstill, and I suddenly remember who I am.

Then, I open my eyes.

It's already dark; I'm in the woods. I remember running into the woods after leaving Aunty Rebecca's office. But what was I doing in the woods until dark? The rising heat has settled.

My vision is a blue ray, and things are bigger, much bigger. My hearing-echoes of the forest.

Walking faster now, I hear a growl and a faint bark escaping me.

I can't speak; I'm trying to, but I can't say anything.

The words I'm supposed to say are said in the back of my head.

"Hello, Valentina," a voice speaks from the back of my head, rallying but with a beautiful tone, with key notes-like the guy from Aunty Rebecca's office.

"What's...?" I'm shocked at the voice coming from my head.

"I am Esorder, Valentina."

"You are what?" I ask from the back of my head, and the voice replies,

"Listen, Valentina, listen to me. I'm Esorder, your Hide."

"Esorder, you are what? Hide!?"

"Yes, your Hide," she replies.

"What is a Hide? Why Hide? You don't have a name, or I don't...t."

"I told you my name, Valentina. It's Esorder," the voice cuts in, interrupting me.

"What kind of name is that, Esorder? What do I have to do with you? Where are you!?"

"I am here," she replies.

"Really!? You speak from my head, and you say you are here. What are you even saying?"

"Listen, I'm your Hide, Esorder, your shift. You can feel what I feel, and I can feel what you feel. Together, we are one," the voice continues.

"One, one what?"

"Valentina, Listen, Listen, we've always...."

"I'm listening, now you listen. Why don't you get out of my head, now!?" I interrupt the voice.

"I can't," she replies.

"Why not? You should know that you can't be here forever. Though I have been going crazy lately, that doesn't mean you are going to stay in my head forever."

"We are not crazy."

"Yeah, right! This 'We thing ' has to stop. I don't know what you want, but this is crazy and it needs to stop now!"

"Listen, Valentina, we are one. We have always been a part of each other," the voice says.

"Wait, we are one what? I am Valentina, and you're what? Esorder, right? So just get out of my head, now!"

After speaking, I waited for the voice to reply, but she doesn't say anything, and I just kept walking.

It felt like I know she's there, just like when you and someone are in a room but you're not speaking to one another.

"Hello! Helloooo!, Esorder, or whatever your name is."

"I am Esorder, your shift, and you're Valentina, the other shift. Together, we are one," Esorder speaks angrily.

"Okay, you're who you are, and we are one. Besties, got it. We are BFF, right?"

"You don't get it, Valentina. Let me show you." Esorder immediately puts me to flight. I run like hell and navigate the woods as if she's in control.

"What are you doing, stop!" She is too fast, making a faint bark as she runs.

"I am in control, Valentina, and you're back there," speaking repeatedly while she runs.

"Wait, you're in control. Why? Where am I?" I ask Esorder as she comes to a stop.

"Here we are," Esorder speaks, as we approach a water opening at the back of the Clakemounts.

"Look, Valentina," Esorder is looking at the waters.

"What !? W-what is that, is that a wolf ? as I looked at the water surface, the wolf is white and decorated with purple hair fur around her body and black fur around her blue eyes.

"See!?. Nice to meet me Valentina, I am Esorder your shift" she stares at the water.

"You're a wolf!? " screaming in shock, still at the back of my head.

"Yes, if you put it that way, but I would prefer you call me your Hide, not wolf". Esorder replies.

"Hide! What is that? You're a wolf, and I'm not, Definitely, wait, what did you do to me? Where am I? Did you eat me?" I ask Esorder.

"Hahaha, Valentina, you're not making sense. Why would I eat you?" She signed.

"If you didn't eat me, then where am I? What did you do to me?"

"You've not been listening. You're Valentina, the human shift, and I am Esorder, the wolf shift. Whatever you want to call it, am your Hide." she speaks chucking a little.
