Chapter 5 Team A

Clyde Nielsen

Ever since I was a kid, I have always thrived on routine and something familiar to me. I'm not too fond of changes. Changes scared me because of all the damage that came into my life caused by changes.

After surrendering my title at 15, I had to move to America and start a new life here. I was struggling with many things and had no one to go to. I had no friends. I had no family. I had nothing.

Leaving Denmark was easy, and it was something that I would never regret. I would never change a thing about it, but one thing that I would change was that I should have brought Luna with me, or maybe I should have rekindled our friendship.

She's such a sunshine.

After working so hard day and night and earning enough money, the first thing that I did was send people to find her. I hired four people in total to give me information about Luna. I don't fucking care if she labeled me a stalker once she knew that I did, but I can't help but do it.

"Can I ask you something?" She waved at me to get my attention. "You're already asking," I said, teasing her, making her glare at me. Those blue-green eyes will never fail to captivate me. "But go ahead, butterfly."

"You said you already knew I was here in Seattle. How?" Her eyes went down to her steak, stabbing one piece and putting it into her mouth. Her attention went back to me.

"I work with the government, and I have an alert for some people. If they ever step foot in America, they must notify me." I said truthfully, causing her to narrow her eyes at me. "And you have me on that list?"

"Yes."

"I won't be surprised if you have someone tailing me in London, judging by your actions right now." She said jokingly, but I was looking at her seriously. Her face went rigid, and she stopped chewing when she realized I was tailing her.

"You did, didn't you?" She asked as she put down her fork. "You're crazy, Clyde." She whispered as she looked around, scared that someone heard her.

"Since when?"

"Why are you curious?" I smirked as she kept leaning forward to hear my answer. "And why are you whispering?" I asked.

"You're a stalker, Clyde Nielsen!" I clenched my jaw hearing her say my full name, and she always does that when she's pissed at me. She sat up straight while giving me a hard glare. She stabbed the steak savagely and took a bite.

My phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and answered the call, "What do you want, Calland?"

"Good afternoon, Mr.Nielsen. Do you forget that we have a meeting in 10 minutes? Where the fuck are you?!" Mason's tone was full of sarcasm. I checked my watch to see that it was 12.50 pm.

"Cancel it."

"And why would I do that? I'm a busy man, Nielsen. You can't just cancel it on me." He's such a drama.

"I won't be able to make it. I have an important lunch of my life," I said while looking straight at Luna, who stopped chewing her steak. She grabbed her glass of lemonade, sipping it with the straw.

"Who are you with?"

"Butterly," I said it bluntly to see her reaction. She choked on it, causing me to smile widely. "You're on a fucking date, aren't you? Clyde, get your ass here. I'm not pushing back the meeting."

"No. Do you think I will leave my girlfriend to meet with you?" Luna had enough. Her whole body froze, and she choked on her drink again, making her cough like a maniac. "Call me again, and I'm pushing the meeting back to next month." I ended the call and gave Luna my napkin.

"What did you just call me?" She took it, and I gave her my glass of water.

"I'm pretty sure you heard it, butterfly."

"I'm not your girlfriend."

"You are."

"You never asked me, and I never agreed."

"I don't need to ask since you already made me swear to marry you at 12, so... Why bother asking you when I'm just fulfilling my promise?" She looked at me in horror.

"Clyde, I'm not your girlfriend, and I will never be. I'm not interested in you, and you're not my type anymore." She said arrogantly as she turned her head around, scanning the room.

"And what exactly is your type?" I asked.

"I'll let you know when I find him." She said in a bubbly tone.

"Please do. I'll hand you his death certificate the next day." I said seriously while looking straight at her. She chuckled, thinking that it was a joke. "Hilarious, Clyde. You don't scare me."

"Well, you should, 'cause I never take things lightly. You're mine, to begin with, so don't test me." With that, she put down her fork and knife. "I'm going back home. If you follow me, I will call the police!" She hissed as she grabbed her bag and walked out. I paid for the food and followed her out.

I kept my distance between us. She turned her head back to see me walking casually behind her. She took her phone out, pointing at it, threatening to call the police. I kept following her without giving away my satisfaction of seeing her completely scared.

She should be.

I've been waiting for her for 15 years. If she thought she could slip out of my fingers that easily, she doesn't know me well then. She decided to run, which made me laugh, seeing her wanting to get away from me so badly.

I took my phone out to see the tracker that I had secretly installed on her phone. She was heading toward the mall, and I kept my regular pace. I walked into the mall and wandered around to find her.

It only took me 5 minutes to find her at an art supply store. I let her roam in there as I made a call to my secretary, Blanc.

"Mr.Nielsen, what can I help you with?"

"From now on, I want team alpha to always be on watch for Luna. I want them to report me every hour and alert me if there's any emergency."

"Sending team alpha right away, sir."
