She dropped her phone on the bed, she quickly took off her clothes, threw it in her dirty clothes basket. She entered her bathroom, taking a quick shower, she hurriedly clean herself off with her towel, then she spray her body spray and wore the clothes she picked out to wear: an A shaped gown, with a black belt, she quickly straightened out her hair, wore her flats. She went to the mirror to check herself out, she looked pretty decent.
She picked up her bag, and ran out of her room, she headed straight for the kitchen to eat something, at least she shouldn't head out on an empty stomach.
She toasted some bread and apply butter on it, she knew that it won't in any going to satisfy her, but she was in a hurry and needed to leave.
She opened the door to her house and went into the cold Autumn air, she shivered a little, at least her dress had long sleeves, and was a bit below her knees so she the cold wasn't that bad.
She walked to the pavement, the darkness was slowly departing from the sky and sun would soon rise in the next couple of minutes.
She hailed a taxi, that slowly came to a stop, she opened the door and entered inside, giving the driver the address of Welch Manor. He then drove down towards the direction of the address.
Sophie brought out her earpiece plugging it in her phone, she went to her playlist, and played a song that she was currently in love with at the moment.

The taxi got to Welch Manor and Sophie paid the taxi man and got out of the car. She walked to the towering gates, pressed the button on the intercom and waited, with her hands clasped together. Nobody answered.
She pressed again the second time and this time a voice came around and it sounded like a woman's voice.
"Who is it?" She asked.
"Um it's me Sophie Clinton, I came here some few days ago for a job interview."
There was silence silence on the other side and then the gates opened slowly, parting sideways until it opened completely. Sophie walked into the large compound, luckily the place was straight to the point in the sense that as soon as you enter the compound you would see the front door.
She made a trek to the front door, it was a long trek. 'If anybody goes around this place a couple of times they would most likely reduce a couple of pounds.'
When she finally got to the front door, she felt tired, she rang the doorbell, and the door opened up to show a woman, a petite woman who looked to be in her middle twenties.
"Ah you must be Sophie, it's such a pleasure to meet you." She shook Sophie's hand, she had a firm grip.
"Nice to meet you too."
"Please come in," the lady open the door wider to let her in, Sophie walked inside the house, the lady closed the door behind her, then came to Sophie and told her that she would call Mr. David, that she should just wait a little bit.
She went up the stairs to call Mr. David, Sophie's eyes wandered around and landed on a painting, it looked like a family portrait. It consisted of man and woman with a younger boy of nothing less than 6 years.
Sophie had a feeling that it was David's family, she heard the sound of footsteps coming from down the stairs and step back from the painting on the wall, and went to the middle of the room.
David came down stairs, wearing a knitted white sweater, and black slacks, holding his hand was a little girl who's long dark hair were packed in two pigtails, and was wearing a school uniform.
They reach the bottom of the stairs, and David approached Sophie, who was standing up straight, he looks gorgeous even though he looked a little older, he was still a very good looking man. Sophie felt her heart skip a beat as he came closer to her.
"G-good morning Mr. David," Sophie greeted.
"Good morning Sophie." The girl tugged at David's hand, David turned his attention to her. "Yes sweetheart?"
"Who is she?" The little girl asked.
"Well Venus, I told you during the weekend that you are having a new nanny didn't I?"
"But I told you that I don't want a nanny," She pouted, which Sophie found cute.
"Well, daddy is always busy, and won't have your time all the time ok?"
"But I don't want a nanny, Miss. Veronica is doing a good job already."
"Miss. Veronica is always busy doing other things and won't have your time."
"Which things?"
"Well as the head maid of the house, she is always busy making sure that everything is in order around the house, that in its own is very stressful."
"But, I don't want a nanny," she removed her hand from David's hand and folded her arms together. She looked angry. But to Sophie it looked so cute, that felt like squeezing her little cheeks.
David squatted to her level, held her hands and looked at Venus straight in the eye, but Venus was not having any of it.
She removed her hands from David's hands and stomped her little feet to the front door, she stood on her tippy toes and grabbed the door knob, opening the door and shutting it close.
There was silence that enveloped them, and Sophie stood there hands interlocked with each other as she looked at anywhere but David.
David sighed and stood up, "please forgive my daughter, she is... well, she just don't trust people all the time."
"Ah, that won't be a problem. I hope that I would be able to make her warm up to me."
"I hope she warms up to you too."
"Um... sorry to ask, but where did she go too?"
"She went to meet the driver so that she can go to school. Anyways how about I show you around the house and introduce you to the other people here."
"Don't you think you should check on her?" Sophie asked in a worried tone.
"Veronica! Veronica!" He called out, Veronica came running down the stairs.
"Yes Mr. David you called."
"Please check on Venus and see if she is ok, and please go and meet Byers to ask him for her lunchbox too." Veronica nodded her head and headed straight for a small door that was at the far side of the small waiting room.
"Ok now," David clasped his hands together, "shall I show you around the house."

The house tour was a very long one, she also had a feeling that she might not remember much from the house afterwards, Sophie was introduced to the staffs of the house. Byers that was the cook, of cause she had already met the butler Herald, and also Veronica and some few more staffs too.
They were currently in the garden, it was a very beautiful garden, with so many flowers and small trees being planted around. The garden had this fresh air to it, compared to the outside world that was contaminated with carbon dioxide and smoke fumes from nearby factories.
"Um Mr. David I have a question?"
"What's the question?"
"Well, um you were once an actor in your early twenties. Weren't you?"
"Yes I was, why are you asking?"
"Oh nothing, I was just a huge fan of your movies when I was younger. Why did you quit?"
"I had to run the family business."
"Oh, I see."
There was another round of silence around them and then David stopped on his tracks. He turned to Sophie, his grey eyes staring at her brown ones, Sophie felt her breath got stuck in her throat.
"Which movie of mine was your favorite?"
It took a while before the question got into her head.
"Oh um, Our Last Song."
He had a look of disgust on his face, "I hate that movie."
Sophie was taken aback, "why?"
"It is not the type of movie that I wanted to do."
"But it give you so much money and so many awards."
"Doesn't change the fact that I hated it, it made me feel like I was a possessive dick head."
"Well the movie was questionable, but that was what made very popular, especially among young adults and teenagers."
"That's what made me hate it."
"So which movie was your favorite that you acted in?"
"When The Stars A-line."
"I love that movie too, it is so underrated."
"Not many people fancy it, cause it's more mellow compared to the other movies that I did, which were more intense. Anyways why don't we go back inside, I have some things to discuss with you."
Sophie nodded her head in agreement, following him inside the house.
