Chapter 4 Investigating Bethany

"sure". He came out and watched Peter while he drove away, he's really confused on what to do and the worst part is the fact that she didn't tell him about it,he doesn't know if he should call her or visit her. Visiting will be better,we need to talk in person. He has the right to know about his heirs and at the same time someone will take the kids to the hospital so that I will know if they're my kids or not. He went to the terrace and tried to reason her reaction,

"hey babe"

"pls don't disturb me"

"I want to share your pain" she said and started peppering kisses on his neck while her hands went under his shirt caressing his abs

"Anne please just go"

"fine but you have to give me a kiss". I kissed her and she released me and went inside

"Mason!!" what's wrong now. He went inside and saw Anne holding the papers that Peter brought. He kept it carelessly it's his fault,he walked to her and tried to get the papers from her but she didn't give him the paper

"is she the one that left you hard and you called me"

"ANSWER ME!"she screamed.ohh,boy he's in trouble. He hoped that she doesn't know her address or else Bethany would be dead meat. He kept quiet and she calmed down plus he owes her no explanation it's his life he chooses who stays and when they leave "Mason,I'm sorry for overreacting. I didn't know what came over me"

"after calling me you behaved like I was a pile of trash that you couldn't touch,tell me what does she have as a woman that I don't"

he went to the terrace and tried to imagine his grandparents reaction, Bethany's reaction when he shows up at her place . Ughh...life is weird,he drank the last shot and went inside to get another shot and he met Anne stuffing her face with food and crying

"I knew I'll regret this one way or the other." She can't die in his hands,she's a ticking time bomb you never know what she's going to do next. The floor was littered with junk foods, noodles pack. He opened the pot and saw the large quantity of noodles that she's preparing,she could die if she continues. He threw the plate on the floor and it broke

"why did you do that"

"stop it,you're beautiful,you're a model"

"being a model doesn't last forever you know,once you get out if shape they'll drop you but if I'm thick I'll be by your side forever ". He sighed and flicked her hair behind her ear and kissed her. He can't believe his doing this aside that night then it's been long since they last had each other. He woke up earlier than her ordered a lovely meal and a cleaning service for the house. He stood up and dialed Bethany's number but it wasn't going through.

Suddenly an arm came behind his waist he didn't need to ask because he knew it was Anne. Now the two problems he has and they are Anne Gilbert and Bethany Jones,he sighed and plastered a smile

"you ordered breakfast"

"yes"

"let's eat"

"okay".

She prepared the kids for school and walked them to the bus, before focusing on herself,her phone rang again and it was a strange number. She answered while arranging her clothes

"hello "

"oh yea,hi"

"who's this please "

"umm it's Mason, Mason Brooks"she froze for a second

"jerk,what do you want and how did you get my number"

"is that a question,well I'm coming to your place goodluck with finding that"

"okay,I'll be there in 15 minutes"he ended the call and she threw the phone on the bed and went to have a shower .

She was drying her hair when she heard a knock on the door and went to open the door

"hey Lu.."

"how did you know my house"

"how else do you think I got your number"

"I don't know"

"I had you investigated"

"yes". She slapped him hard on his face,what right does he have to do that can't she have her own privacy,

"why did you that for,can't I have my own private space, because you have money you feel you can get what ever you want,you know there are other ways to get like asking me or people around me rather than digging out my life,so tell me what else did you find "

"who's the father of those boys"

"they're not yours okay". She tried to slam the door but he held it and came inside

"I didn't say you could come in"

"ugh..you know I have kids that's great right"

"answer me".

His tone is now cold unlike before when he sounded happy to see her

"You have no right to know "

"since you won't tell me I'll take those boys for a paternity test "

"you will do no such thing". She stood by the door so he won't go out

"I'll be taking those boys to the hospital and you're probably dressed for work sooo good luck "he said and dragged her away from the door and went out. She went outside,

"you're not taking my kids anywhere "

"go back inside you're not properly dressed for this weather it's cold today"

"it's not your body isn't it" he stopped to answer a call ,he just said okay and ended the call them turned to face me

"we're done with getting their DNA, here's the hospital that they're in you can go pick them up". He said and gave me a piece of paper

"goodbye ". He said and entered his sedan and drove off. She couldn't believe that the school didn't call her to inform her that they're taking her boys for a test, Mason probably bribed them. So this means that they don't care about the child's security but money that's what they're after.

He went to Peter's place feeling disappointed well that wasn't the reaction he expected and his face hurts like bad it's been long since he was slapped he went there and saw Peter reading

"I wanted us to go clubbing"

"you're finally following your grandparents advice,socialize more you want to get drunk"

"yes,I made the kids take the DNA test,they weren't willing to at first but with lots of promises they finally agreed."

"umm,he said I should come back tomorrow. So it's tomorrow "

"she can come visit the kids and go"

"the kids won't be happy,why would they follow a total stranger and leave their mother,she's like their best friend "

"I've thought about it, they're the heirs to my company and properties,I need to fix my mistake now or else when they grow they'll come for me. I need to right my wrongs or else if the press finds out then my reputation is cut off"

"you're gonna force her,damn man you're a psychopath". He said with a laughter but he ignored him.

"We're getting married in a court,you'll be my witness "

"okay". He sighed and leaned back on the chair"Anne still won't leave"

"yes,I'm tired of seeing her "

"so because of the kids you're gonna cut your vacation short"

"yes, because they need to be registered in the schools back there "

"will Bethany agree to follow you back there"
