Chapter 5 Electric Green Eyes.

Two days later.

Kaia was currently home all alone because her housemate and best friend Cleopatra went for a skincare ad shoot. She was currently slumped on the couch munching on salt and vinegar lays, watching Horimiya, an anime. Despite greatly missing her friend she enjoyed these moments when she could sit back and just relax.

Suddenly her phone rudely interrupted her peace as it rang, causing her to groan in frustration as a result, "Geez, who could be calling me on a Saturday?" She complained, picking up the call without checking the caller ID.

"Yes." She answered the call with a lace of irritation in her tone.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, have I offended you, did I kill your favorite teddy bear or something like that?" Cleopatra asked in a hurt tone.

"Shoot Cleo, I didn't know it was you, I'm sorry, I thought it was someone at work who wanted me to do something for them." Kaia elucidated.

"Oh, makes sense, but next do check the caller I'd before you end up yelling at your boss instead," Cleopatra confirmed with her statement and added a warning," Anywho that's not why I called," she made known, "Get ready 'cause we're going out to paartyyy." She slurred the last words.

"Nuh-uh, not happening." Kaia bluntly protested.

"C'mon K, loosen up a bit, live a little, and have fun, you're only nineteen once." Cleopatra tried persuading her stubborn friend.

"I think I'm good being boring and not living at all." Kaia remarked as she chewed on another chip then added, "What does this have to do with me being nineteen?"

"Because that's one of the only times we can be wild and enjoy our lives before we're forever caught up with super busy schedules?" She clarified.

"Right, still not going. " Kaia told her.

Cleopatra sighed, "Alright do it for me, because I'm gonna get drunk as hell tonight and I'll need you, c'mon K." She implored her.

"Fine, stop whining already," Kaia finally acquiesced with her request,

"What time are you coming here?" She added as an inquiry.

"In about an hour, so get in the shower, no scratch that, take a long bubble bath, wear something hot and sexy, put on some makeup if possible and we'll get going and if you don't do all that, I'll come do it for you. " Cleopatra threw orders at her.

"Yes, boss!" Kaia teasingly sang out getting up from the couch.

"I'm off now, byeeee." Cleopatra chimed.

"Bye Cleo." Kaia softly spoke out cutting the call.

She went up to her room to prepare for thee party. As instructed by Cleo the sassy boss-lady she made a bubble bath and settled in it, all her muscles began relaxing as she signed in contentment and enjoyed it quite a lot.

After a 20-minute bubble bath, she went to dress up. Standing outside her closet she settled on a white rib racer neck, knee-length body con that hugged her curves perfectly accompanied by black ankle boots with a silver sling clutch. She tied her brown curls into a ponytail letting a few strands hang loosely then put on some mascara, eyeliner, and a hint of strawberry-flavored lip balm.

Kaia stood before the mirror, twirled, and gave herself a once-off, after being satisfied with her appearance she headed back downstairs to the living room.

A few minutes later Cleopatra arrived, she adorned a black cocktail mini dress with peep-toe platform slingbacks. Her hair was curled and left loosely hanging, she applied smoky makeup giving off a seductive look.

"Are you ready to go?" She asked Kaia as she strode in.

Kaia stood up taking the yield of her clutch and phone, "I was born ready." was her reply, deep down she was kinda excited about the party and what would happen there.

Cleopatra smiled that her friend was actually excited about going to this party then twirled asking, "How do I look?"

Kaia made a thinking face for a few minutes then spoke out, "Hot, absolutely sexy, guys are gonna be drooling all over you." Kaia complimented her friend in a husky voice.

This made Cleopatra smile, "Thanks, that's exactly what I want, by the way, you're looking smoking hot yourself, maybe we can finally get you laid tonight." She winked at Kaia earning an eye roll from her.

"Keep on dreaming girl." She remarked, "So, shall we?"

"Of course, wouldn't wanna be too late." Cleopatra sounded off, they both left their apartment and headed toward the building's parking lot.

They entered Cleopatra's white Mercedes Benz and immediately drove off to their designated location, a popular club known as The Mist, it was a newly opened popular club that everyone had been going to lately.

"So, who organized the party?" Kaia asked her friend as she parked the car and they got out.

"An influential Businessman, El Salvador." When Cleopatra said that name it rang a bell, but Kaia couldn't remember where exactly she heard his name so she just shrugged it off.

They strolled inside but not before showing the bouncers their invitation cards and IDs. The club was filled with many people, it was dimly lit with neon lights. Men and women scattered everywhere, some were by the bar, others seated in booths shoving their tongues in each other's mouths while others were dancing body to body on the dance floor, it was pretty crazy.

Cleopatra clasped Kaia's hand dragging her to the bar, "Let's go get some drinks."

"I'm not taking any liquor mind you." Kaia expressed as they sat on the stools by the counter.

The was a cute, tall bartender mixing drinks, he was so skilled it looked like magic and mesmerized Kaia.

"What can I get you beautiful ladies this lovely evening?" He asked flashing them a million-dollar smile.

"A cocktail for me and nonalcoholic champagne for my friend here." Cleopatra requested bushing her eyelashes and leaning over the counter.

"Be back with your order ASAP." The guy said winking at Cleopatra and turning to mix their drinks.

After he was done, he brought them their drinks, "Here are your drinks ladies, please enjoy.," He let out flashing them his signature smile accompanied by a wink.

"Thank you," The two friends chorused each taking her drink.

Kaia sipped into her glass and her mouth was filled with tasty bubbles that made her moan in pleasure.

After a few more drinks the two friends decided to go shake what their mamas gave them. They reached the dance floor and began swaying to the music.

They danced for a while, twirling each other, then throwing their hands in the air like they didn't care accompanied by jumping up and down.

Kaia decided to go and take a break while Cleopatra decided to find a partner and continue dancing.

Meanwhile, Aiden and his men arrived at the party they had found out that Stone's daughter was going to be at this party, so here they were looking for her. They all spread out to find her quickly, and all had a new picture they were using to find her, before leaving for the party Cleopatra posted a few pictures Kaia and her took, and those were the pics they were using.

Kaia felt a bit parched and decided to go get some water from the bar, a slow jam was playing as she strode through the bodies that were slow dancing. Kaia nearly exited the dance floor when someone suddenly pushed her, she closed her eyes as she stumbled bracing herself for impact with the floor but it never came.

She opened her eyes and was met with the most beautiful green eyes she'd ever laid eyes on, it was like she was saved by an angel, he held her waist preventing her fall and her hands had a mind of their own wrapping around his neck.
