He nodded. "Yup. She braved the rain." His concern shifted to curiosity. "So, did your family like the presents I brought?"
"Oh, Attorney," she smiled. "Thanks for the chocolates. I just set them aside for now, and the kids brushed their teeth when we got home last night."
He smiled and nodded, mimicking Nena's usual response.
"Oh," she approached the desk, "Good morning, Attorney!" the young lady greeted.
He scanned her, always doing so. He felt the need to ensure everything about her was perfect-from the way she carried herself in the uniform that accentuated her curves to the sleek black hair. His gaze lingered on her lips-luscious red, with a welcoming smile-her brown eyes exuded warmth beneath her dark lashes. A hint of blush adorned her soft cheeks.
She's perfect, indeed.
"Good morning," he turned towards her. "Did you see the gifts I brought?"
Her smile seemed awkward. He began to feel concerned.
"Yes, Attorney. Thank you."
His gaze lingered on her. He wanted to grasp her genuine reaction, but all he sensed was discomfort. Now, he was curious. Why? Didn't she clearly convey to Tanya yesterday how she envisioned him?
This woman could imagine how huge he is.
And, as usual, he was always willing to entertain women like her.
And why not Nena? He had been drawn to her for a while.
Ever since he noticed her behind the receptionist desk with her warm, captivating smile, she had already left him restless. It was as if he was not in control, an animal eager to pounce on her. That intense. A single glance, and she had already captivated him.
And he was captivated even more by her cheerful and accommodating nature. How she treated everyone with respect, regardless of their position in the firm, even with him. Whenever he passed by the receptionist area, he witnessed her interacting with anyone gracefully. She was willing to shimmy around in that damn sexy pencil skirt to assist people to the elevator or the closest restroom.
No wonder she lasted in her job for five years.
Too bad he misunderstood her sweet gestures towards clients. She appeared too decent, and he wouldn't want to complicate things with such a good woman. It was a hassle. He detested relationships that turned into drama and threats from a woman insisting on serious commitment, and he didn't take her seriously.
He always thought of Nena as proper and innocent. He didn't want that type of woman in his bed-no clueless or complicated situations. He didn't bring a woman to his room for a sex tutorial. What a waste of time when he could just get to the point.
By the way Nena spoke yesterday, she sounded liberated and open to it.
Perhaps he should have believed the rumors about people having hidden desires.
He had to seize that opportunity. Clint was going to savor her like a forbidden fruit.
Especially since she set him on fire last night.
He still vividly saw her in that wet uniform. He couldn't help but notice the cling of the wet blouse under her pink blazer. Her tight pink skirt hugged her round thighs. Damn, those thick thighs. He could imagine running his fingers on her skin, gripping her thighs tightly, parting them for his entry.
Her wet hair exposed her neck, a sight he eagerly wanted to explore...
Clint wasn't aware of how intense his stare had become, to the point that his heat was affecting Nena.
A forced smile appeared on her rosy lips.
"I just gave the chocolates to my nieces and nephews," she shared. "I'm not a fan of sweets."
Oh, he just found out. All he did was exchange pleasantries with the receptionists.
He didn't bother asking them the next day if they liked the gifts he brought for P 3-2.
He smiled. "Me too. I prefer something real spicy or savory."
Damn, what was he implying by saying that?
He sounded foolish! Clint thought so. But fine, he'd just cover it with a smile. That was always his saving grace-using his charm.
"I understand now why you don't look so pleased," Clint chuckled. "Got to go, ladies." He glanced at Tanya briefly and then back at Nena before leaving.
...
Nena paid for her FX fare on her way home. She was about to close her wallet when she noticed the black card. She took it out and read it.
The Org welcomes Nena San Pedro for One Night Only Access.
She furrowed her brow and read the back of the card.
Invited by Clint Guillermo, VIP Member. It even had the guy's signature.
At the bottom, it said Claimed Access on, but there was no specific date.
She flipped the card multiple times, but she couldn't find any clue about what The Org was or the purpose of this invitation. She felt hesitant to ask Clint earlier, especially with Tanya around. She didn't want the woman to get more excited about her, potentially revealing that she had a slight crush on him.
Invitation-does it mean a party? Why no date? Why is it labeled Claimed Access On? If this is an event invitation, Tanya might get jealous, so she avoided bringing up the card with the lawyer. She was also nervous earlier that Clint might mention something about The Org. Fortunately, that didn't happen.
She tucked the card back into her wallet. How can I bring this up with Attorney without making it awkward?
Tanya always beat her to the receptionist desk. So, no matter how early she arrived, Clint and Tanya would likely be there when she greeted them. Tanya would notice if she excused herself to go to the restroom and then chased after Clint. The elevator from their spot was clearly visible.
Then an idea struck her.
...
The next day, Clint sat at his desk, reviewing statements for a case involving the Cervantes. It was a business-related matter, and he was deeply engrossed when a contract lawyer, Estefania, passed by.
He knew Estefania- intimately- and was used to her attention-seeking ways. She sat at the edge of his desk and rested a hand there.
"Hi, Clint, welcome back," she grinned broadly.
She had just returned to Salvadores Law Firm because the firm assigned her a case.
"Thanks," he replied without looking up. His eyes were focused on the documents in the folder.
The woman's eyes roamed. She possessed a dangerous kind of beauty that once convinced him to play around with her. He thought it would be fun.
Well, that's what he thought.
"You just got back and already too busy?" she lowered her voice, careful not to be overheard by nearby desks.
"Yeah," he gave a curt response and flipped to the next page.
"How about I make you busier?" she purred.
"No time for-" he was interrupted by the ringing of his phone.
Thankfully, a phone call came to his rescue from this woman. He quickly grabbed the phone.
"Good morning, Attorney Clint Guillermo here."
Good morning, Attorney.
He paused at that voice. It was soft, almost a whisper or a seduction. That voice could convince him to stroke his cock. Thank God he didn't. He was slightly alarmed.
"Yes, speaking," he replied seriously. Estefania, on the other hand, continued to stare at him. It seemed she had no intention of leaving her position by his desk. She waited for his call to end so she could resume her attempts at persuasion.
He closed the folder and turned towards the phone, away from Estefania.
It's me, Nena.
He swallowed. Why did she sound like this now? In normal situations, her voice was lively, loud, and clear. Now, it was like an invitation to a secret meeting.
Or a secret conversation. Was she an expert phone sex operator or something? Damn, damn, damn...
Would her voice sound like this when they finally got intimate? Would she whisper in his ear and praise him for blowing her mind, wrecking her completely, just like she imagined?
"Hi," he suppressed a smile. "Is anyone looking for me?"
Uhmm... are you busy, Attorney? It'll just take a moment; I have something to ask.
Now, that's what he likes. He relaxed in his swivel chair. Estefania grew impatient and returned to her desk when another contract lawyer, part of their office, gave her a look.
"Sure, you can inquire. What is it about?" he replied, trying to sound professional. He didn't want anyone to notice that he wasn't working on official matters.
What's this about The Org?
He couldn't help but chuckle softly.
Attor- it was cut off, and Clint couldn't make out the word he heard in the background, but Nena followed it with silence before abruptly ending the call.
He didn't immediately take the phone away from his ear. Maybe someone approached her desk, and she didn't have the chance to say goodbye.
He carefully lowered the phone.
I'll let you know what The Org is, Nena, he grinned while resuming his work.
