Chapter 5 V

He stands off my side and looks in my direction while arching his brow.

"You know that coffee was scorching hot."

"You were in my personal space."

"You didn't sense me near you?"

"You would assume that since you were so near. On the other hand, I don't anticipate anyone following so closely behind me as they do now. Rohan, you have to refrain from invading the personal space of others."

"What if I like your space, little petty?"

"That nickname sucks."

He gives me a wink. I don't know how much longer I can keep up with this before I collapse from my desire for it and my complete inability to handle it! A loud bang interrupted my thought, and the automobile driver swerved suddenly. Rohan successfully brings the car to a halt while he is in control of it. Since we are traveling along a country lane to get to a building site that is only halfway built, there is no one else I can see in the area and no residences. Simply the forest. "Oh, sh*t. A tire had a blowout. Please hold on while I check."

Because we had been thrown around to such an extreme degree, I had to step out of the vehicle to ensure that none of my gear was lost.

After confirming that nothing was broken, I move around Rohan and notice that he is talking on the phone with another person. His mouth is clinched, and beyond that, he gives off the impression that he is irritated. His eyes have a sinister gloom, and he exudes an air of malevolence all around him.

He takes great displeasure in situations where his initial plans fail to materialize. He sighs and turns his attention to me while clicking his phone.

"In all honesty, this was the reserve tire. I had to keep it the same yesterday since I was too busy. Therefore, we are going to have to wait for Stuart to arrive. While I wait for the tow truck, he must bring you to the construction site."

Stuck close to a forest, and there is no one else around. This dude is smoking hot. My chest tightens as thoughts of things I might do to pass the time race through my head, and I feel a catch in my breath. What a mess. Now, think about it. I have some extra time on my hands, and it's about time that I stopped flirting with the manager.

Just as well. Therefore, if it will take a while, let's try something else. I had to dash to my seat to get my camera. The question mark over Rohan's left eye indicates his interest in what I say.

"There is time left. The forest can fulfill my requests right away. Let's get out there and hunt, shall we?"

"Hunting, yeah, you immature little brat? It will become clear that you and I have quite different conceptions of " hunting. "A brook may be found three-quarters of a mile in that direction. There is a good chance we will locate anything for you to seize."

I stay close behind Rohan and mirror his every move. And sneaking one or two looks at his posterior, because who wouldn't when it's so blatantly displayed for all to see?

Suddenly, I became aware of the sound of the water. And my gosh, the place is very stunning in its setting. After locating a comfortable perch on some nearby rocks, I settled in to adjust the cannon's settings. While Rohan makes himself at home by reclining against a tree and watching me with a smile, he finds my antics amusing. You should know that he is straightforward to be around for a cranky old bear.

"So, what kind of wildlife is around here if you know this forest so well?"

"As is customary, Because the forest is so extensive, the animals that live there can flourish despite their limited contact with humans.

"I was able to get hold of the majority of those. You should realize that occurrences like that are quite uncommon in our region. However, I have been told that people have seen wolves in this area. Could you ever fathom that happening? What a stunning creature, and what an incredible opportunity to get my hands on one of those!"

I can see Rohan is interested in what he sees. What was it that I said? "Oh, you mean wolves. You have a valid point. I am also familiar with the information. They are very territorial and don't like intruders, so you would want to stay within one of them, even if you want to visit close to one.

I wouldn't rush up to the monster and try to embrace it. It wasn't in the cards. I have survived countless encounters with dangerous animals and can now share my experiences with you." Calm down. I can't do so at this time. It's time to shut up. I'm curious about the surrounding area.

The gaze that Rohan gives me is thoughtful and in-depth. He gives a little nod and then turns around.

"Let me quickly check to see whether the tow truck has come. I'll be right back. I'll let you know as soon as Stuart arrives. Please give me a call if you have any questions or requirements."

Nice. Therefore, the afternoon was delightful. I make myself comfortable in this location and take a few moments to savor the peace and quiet of the surrounding surroundings. I can feel the river flowing freely and the soil underneath me. I can smell the refreshing mist from the lake, which combines with the earthy, woodsy aroma of the forest. In my life, instances such as this one occur infrequently. On the other hand, when I do receive them, it is as if my entire soul is rewritten.

A rustling can be heard to my left, further upstream. What exactly is it? I use my camera and a telescope to zoom in to get a closer look at what's there.

A menacing growl is what I am greeted with, and it triggers alarm signals all over my body.
