Chapter 5 A Night To Remember 2

"Nope, I am from the Northern Isles."

Lily nodded. That was where her father went to school too. She had seen the picture on his working desk one time.

"I understand. So is that why you are investigating Lorenzo?"

"Yup. Mac is my friend, he would do anything to get me out of trouble back then in school and I would do anything for him now."

"It's okay, I am sure my father would still appreciate your help right now. Let's not live in the past and think about the future"

"You are right. Now, to the matter at hand."

Lily ran a hand through her oily hair, she had yet to take a shower and she feels as if she smells like piss. Still, she tried to remain calm.

"You said that he would come for me again...how do you know that?" Lily asked.

Carter chuckled. "Because I have been so involved with them for the past few months. These scars on my face are due to the fact of always mixing up with their gang. They don't let their captive go scot free, either they kill them or take them back and give them a job. Kinda like a way of watching them"

"So you want me to work for them? That can't work, that's literally putting me in the danger zone" Lily said, a bit frightened.

"Calm down Lily. You will have a camera with you. Once you get a picture of their major plans. I would be waiting and you would escape. Once I get that picture, I can vindicate him of his crime, your father would be free. I would take you and your father back to the Northern isles and give you a normal life."

Lily crossed her arms in annoyance. "Why didn't I see you before? Where were you all these while? Thinking you can offer me a home, why haven't you offered me a home since? I have been doing fine and I am not going to risk myself. Lorenzo is a man that values trust, a single betrayal would be the death of me. I cannot take that much risk"

"Lily, please listen to me. I am sorry that I haven't approached you all these while. I have not been in a better position myself. My boss is planning to take this job from me since I haven't been able to provide any evidence. If they do, I would not be able to protect you. I have also been captured and tortured. Please Lily, you just have to trust me"

Lily could see the desperation in his eyes. But trust is a big word for her. She can't easily trust. She looked at the letter that was from her supposed father. The paper was almost washed but old meaning it wasn't new.

Lily closed her eyes, trying to picture her father's face once again. Happy and always smiling. Then imagining him in that basement that she was last night. Or perhaps he could be dead.

She couldn't think that. She wanted a complete family too. She wanted to see her father once again. She wanted to be happy once again.

With that she opened her eyes with a new sense of goal.

"What exactly do you need me to do?"

8pm, an alluring night.

Lily walked into one of the most expensive clubs in Eldrida. Detective Carter and found a way to get her in. She had never had the opportunity to come here before.

The velvet lounge was one of the most exclusive nightclubs in the city. Only for the rich. The entrance was marked by a large velvet curtain that hinted at the luxury that lay beyond. Inside, the décor was opulent and sophisticated, with plush velvet sofas and armchairs, glistening chandeliers, and dark wood paneling. The walls were adorned with paintings and photographs, and the air was thick with the scent of expensive perfumes and cocktails.

The dance floor was located at the center of the room, surrounded by tables and booths where the patrons could relax and enjoy their drinks. The music was loud and pulsating, with a DJ playing the latest hits and remixes. The bartenders were dressed in sharp suits, and they mixed drinks with precision and speed.

Despite the exclusivity of the club, the atmosphere was electric and vibrant, with people of all ages and backgrounds dancing and mingling together. It was a place where one could escape from reality and indulge in luxury, even if only for a few hours.

Lily felt a bit out of place in her fancy attire.

As she dived deeper into the club, heads turned to look at her. She was dressed in a short, tight-fitting mini dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. Her hair was styled in loose waves, falling effortlessly around her shoulders. Her makeup was light and natural, emphasizing her striking features.

Lily felt so self conscious as she made her way to the bar stand. She was trying so hard not to make her nervousness known.

Her eyes scanned the drinks available but everything had so many zeros that could pay her rent for two years.

She knew she couldn't just stand there with no drink, it's so suspicious.

That was until a bartender handed her a cocktail saying, "From a kind detective"

Lily let out a breath of relief. Thank God, Carter thought this through. She sat on one of the sofas, bobbing her head to the music. Trying to act normal.

The plan was simple, Lorenzo would see her and suspect her and call her to his vip lounge.

She felt a bit uncomfortable when he told her she just needed to seduce him. She felt disgusted by the thought and is currently having second thoughts in doing so.

Meanwhile, in the VIP lounge, Lorenzo held a glass of tequila as he watched the brunette girl looking sexy in her dress and sipping her drink. She was actually beautiful, he have to admit.

"What's she doing here? I thought she was some waitress how did she have money to even come here?" Marco wondered out loud. He turned to Lorenzo and said. "I seriously have a feeling that there is more to her than we think. She knew you would be here. She must be a spy"

Lorenzo sipped his drink, his right-hand man must be right. There was something about her.

"Then we won't do what she expects us to do. Notice her and call her up here. Just ignore her and let her enjoy her evening. But send someone to watch her, I don't like scenes at my club"

Lily on the other hand started to feel woozy and disoriented. She felt hot from within and wanted to rip the dress off her body.

She got up from her chair and went to the middle of the dance floor. Started moving her body to the music. Twerking, spinning and being sexy in general.

Some men saw her and started to come close to her, rubbing themselves against her. This made Lily feel good a bit but she still wanted more. So she slowly took off her dress on the dance floor.

This got whistles from men as she started to twerk on the floor. She was having the best time in her life.

Lorenzo watched this with intent. With the way she was acting, it wasn't normal. She was definitely on something.

"Is she doing all these just to get your attention?" Marco said, scoffing.

"And she did get my attention"

With that Lorenzo dropped his glass and made his way down the stairs. Marco watched him, surprised that he even cared.

Lorenzo strode towards Lily with a commanding presence, his sculpted physique rippling under the fabric of his tailored suit. The sharp angles of his jawline were accentuated by the dim lighting of the club, and his piercing blue eyes seemed to flicker with an intense energy as he approached her. The way he moved was fluid and effortless, as though he owned the room and everyone in it. His charisma was undeniable, and Lily couldn't help but feel a rush of attraction as he drew closer.

People gave way to him, scared that they might get hurt if they even breathed.

Lorenzo stepped closer to her and placed an arm around her waist, the closeness making Lily feel hotter.

He then lowered his head and whispered into her ear.

"Darling, I am going to enjoy you tonight"
