Chapter 10 Fate

"Is this the first time you meet your fiance?"- Drache asked.

"Yeah..."- She only said boredly as they waited at the arrival area. The girl was so frustrated but not because of her wedding or Jyller's attitude, it's about her mother's coming home.

"Oh! My princess!"- A middle aged woman yelled. Drache and Clend looked at her , but something surprised Drache.

"Stop calling me that!"- Clend said in annoyance.

"Geez , wouldn't you even hug your mother first?"- Her mom says , but she just turns away from her mother.

"D.. Drache?"- says a beautiful young lady.

"Yachel..."- The only response Drache's could make in surprised.

"You two knew each other?"- asked Jhullie , Clend's mom.

"Isn't it obvious? Mom.."- Clend says coldly.

"Y-yes.. Tita! He's my... my.."- stutters Yachel.

"Schoolmates.. before"- said Drache as they both gaze at one another.

"Oh.. I see , by the way.. ihjo this is my beautiful daughter , Clend."- happily says Jhullie to the young man beside her who gets near to kiss Clend's hand. However , the young lady glared at him pulling her hand's away.

"Touch me and you'll die!"- She warned, which made Jhullie sigh in shame.

"She's serious , dude."- Drache smirks, that annoys the other man.

"And who are you?"- he asked, glaring at Drache.

"I'm the man who will bury you to your grave if you don't step away from her."- states Drache as the other cower in his glare.

"I'm exhausted , let's go home Drache.''- Clend says angrily. The others followed in Drache's car and headed to Clend's house to drop them off.

The next day at the school cafeteria, the gang is gathered except with Clend. They were pestering Drache about Clend's fiance but he's not responding due to the thoughts about Yachel. So in annoyance, Dhaenne pinches his ear to get his attention.

"Wha.. what's with you?!"- groans Drache, rubbing his ear.

"We've been asking you about Clend's fiance!"- scolds his friends.

"Well , honestly.. he has a look but he's such a dumb jackass."- said Drache.

"How so?"- wondered Viviann.

"You'll know.. he's going to attend here at the university.. with Yachel.."- he said but his tune suddenly changed in sadness as he spoke the girl's name.

"Yachel?.."- murmured Jyller looking at his sad friend.

"Who's that?"- Chiraa asked. Jyller glared at her and said. "Leave it!"- then Drache sighs lifelessly.

"I couldn't imagine she's her cousin.."- said Drache. Jyller and Vrainn was surprised.

"What are you gonna do?"- asked Jyller.

"Who knows.."- Drache's only response.

"Oh! She's here!"- yelled Deeland.

"Hi , guys!''- Clend's greeted them and sat on a chair at Drache's left side as Yachel sat on her cousin's left side.

"Guys.. this is my cousin , Yachel Llyca Hoshi. "- she added. Yachel smiled at them softly.

"I'm Jyller , this is Stheev the casanova , Deeland , Dhaenne , Chiraa and Viviann.."- he said.

"Hey! Why am I the only one with insults?"- protested Stheev , but Jyller just glared at him.

"Good Morning, Drac–"- Yachel says but interrupted when Drache suddenly stood up.

"I'll go first.."- he said and left as fast as he could without even finishing his meal.

"How rude of him.."- said Steev.

"Let him be.."- says Vrainn and continues on with his meal.

"I'll follow him.."- said Clend and left.

"You might have known that Klidde is studying here too , right?''- Jyller looks at Yachel with contempt.

"Uhm.. Ye-yeah.."- stutters Yachel as she looks down avoiding Jyller's gaze.

"You know Klidde?"- wondered Viviann. Yachel just nodded.

"Klidde is her fiance.."- coldly said Jyller that shook his friends except with Vrainn who just focused on his meal while Yachel turns her head the way where Drache and Clend took and left in sorrow.

"Still haven't broken the engagement?"- asked Jyller , Yachel played with her fingers in nervousness.

"I.. I'm not strong or have some kind of resolve to disobey like Clend.. if I did.. if I did.."- states Yachel in trembles.

"Don't you love my brother enough for you to not refuse the engagement at all?"- Vrainn asked angrily. Yachel looked at him in silence until her tears fell on her cheeks.

"He never changes.. you should too.."- he added.

"I'm scared.. I'm too afraid.."- she cried. Jyller sat next to her and patted her back, which surprised Stheev , Dhaenne , Chiraa and Viviann.

"You have Clend.. and us.. we're willing to help if ever you and Drache need it.."- comfort Jyller with soft gentle voice as he embraces her close to his shoulder.

"Jy.."- whispers Yachel and cries in Jyller's arms. "I miss him so much.."- she added.

"So does he.."- says Vrainn.

Moment passed , Yachel calmed down and they're now heading to their headquarters to see if their two friends are there but before they could reach it , someone blocked their path crowding them as they breathed heavily, it seemed like they ran a mile.

"Sir Jyller! Drache.. Sir Drache needs your help!"- they said.

"What happened?"- Jyller glared in annoyance.

"He.. Sir Drache tried to jump off from the rooftop but.. but.."- they explained while panting.

"But what?!!"- yelled Vrainn in anger pulling the shirt by the collar of one of them.

"But your friend.. the demon girl in black prevents it.. however , they are out balanced. So she's hanging there as Sir Drache tries to pull her back!"- they continued. Jyller and gang rush to the rooftop as for the girls , they head outside in the crowd staring up at the rooftop.

An hour ago , Clend followed Drache who reached the rooftop. She saw him standing at the end of the rooftop gazing at the people downstairs , she sneaked behind surprising him.

"Hey! Emo-nkey!"- she yells. Drache, who's startled lost his balance and about to fall but Clend quickly pulled him back by his shirt as he fell down on the rooftop floor but by the time he gained his composure , the girl was not in his sight anymore no matter where he looked around. In fear, he rushed to the edge and in there he saw her hanging on trying not to fall.

"Clend!!"- he yelled and grabbed her hand. Clend look at him with a trembling body.

"Don't be scared.. I won't let go of you.."- says Drache gripping her hand.

"Drache.."- she called.

"It's gonna be fine.. it's alright.."- he comforts seeing her shaking body.

"Drache!''- called Jyller and his friends. They run towards him.

"Help me pull her up!"- Drache said.

"Deeland , get a rope now!"- ordered Jyller.

"Stop.. no.."- stutters Clend trembling in Drache's hand.

"Guys! My hand is slipping!"- shouted Drache.

"Deeland the rope!"- yelled Jyller.

"No matter what! Don't let go of her!''- Vrainn holds on Drache's hips in support as Stheev tries to reach Clend for he has longer legs and arms.

"Jyller! Here's the rope!"- said Deeland.

"Tie it up at the pillar over there!"- he said and took the other end of the rope and tied it up on his waist. However , before they could finish tying up the rope , they heard their friends screaming.

"Damn!!''- Drache and Steev screamed. Drache's hand slipped but gladly the girl was able to hold on to the railing on the next floor. Jyller and Deeland hurried tying up the rope.

"Hold on , Clend! Just hold on!!"- Drache shouts. Jyller and Deeland have finished tying up and Jyller is about to go down to where Clend is.

"Jump!!"- screams Chllark from the ground downstairs.

"Chllark.. help me.. it won't stop.."- Clend cries.

"Just jump! Now!!"- shouts Chllark. Everyone who's watching is confused while Jyller and the gang are angry with him.

"You bastard! Stay out of this!!"- yelled madly by Jyller who is about to go down to where Clend is. But before he could reach her, she let go and fell. Everyone screams in fear , some bystanders cover their eyes. However , before she could reach the ground , Chllark managed to catch her successfully and safely. That brought such relief to her friends. The trembling girl embraced Chllark as tight as she could.

"It's alright.. you're safe now.. I'm here.."- he caresses her back in comfort. Jyller and his friends ran downstairs to check on her but they arrived too late, as Chllark left with Clend in his arms and Yachel who followed him , that really angered Jyller the most for the reason that his rival took his friend away. They were about to scold Drache for causing all that incident , but they couldn't even find or contact him.

At Clend's house , Yachel and Chllark are taking care of the asleep Clend in her room when Drache enters. He rushed to her house in worry about his friend leaving without a word to his gang. But before he could see the friend he's looking for , Yachel stormed him with yelling and anger that left him surprisingly speechless.

"You idiot! What were you thinking?! To try and kill yourself by jumping off from the rooftop?!! Look what has happened!!"- scolds Yachel.

"Kill?.. Jump?.."- confusedly he asked.

"We were so worried , you bastard!!"- she added as she hit him on his chest while sniffling.

"Who told you that?! Yachel, I'm not so stupid to just go off and kill myself!"- he yelled.

"Then what happened up there?! Huh? Tell me!"- Yachel cries. Drache grabbed her shoulder forcibly.

"It was just an accident! I didn't mean any of it to happen!"- shouts Drache.

"God , Yachel!"- he added as he let go of her and covered his face with both hands frustratingly.

"You think I want that to happen?! She's my friend.. she's important to me.. because she stayed and fought with me! We've known each other for a short time, not like you but she's the one who only supports me and worries for my sake! Don't act like you did the same thing! And I care for her more than anything! Even compared to you! So even though you're here hurting me physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually I will never ever end my life and end my pain don't assume too much!"- Drache shouted in anger. Yachel was stunned in tears.

"I-I'm sor..."- Yachel weeps. Drache stops her by raising his hand.

"Don't please... act like nothing happened... forget everything in the past and act like we just met yesterday."- Drache said calmly and had no emotion then walked out leaving the girl in tears.

"Things will be alright.."- Chllark said, hugging yachel. She nodded and let go of the hug then excused herself and left the room Yachel took a walk in the garden where she saw Drache seated on the grass , she took a deep breath before walking towards him.

"I didn't mean to open up the past and scold you . I was just... I was just so worried and scared to see her in that situation again."- Yachel says as she sits a bit far from the guy.

"A-again?"- Drache wondered as he looked at her in confusion. Yachel hugged her knees and bit her lower lips.

"We are in grade school.. sixth grade.. After class we've gone to our family company because we have plans to have dinner together with her parents and mine.. We are bored because they still have meetings to attend.. so we played at the building with Chllark , her , Jy and me .. we keep running and playing around when I get so careless and about to fall down by the window from fourth floor but she quickly grabbed my hands and pulled me back however , she slipped and.. got dangled outside the window. We tried.. The three of us tried to grab her but... so suddenly because we're not strong enough for being just a kid , she slipped from our grip and fell down.. "- Yachel states and buried her face on her knees.

"Fell down?.. then that means "- Drache says in surprise.

"Gladly we brought her to the hospital in time.. she survived but she got fourteen broken bones.. bleeding in her lungs and brain(?).. She's in a coma and is paralyzed. We've waited for her to wake up. It took one and a half years and she couldn't move or can't even speak yet. Jy-Jy , Chillark and I cheered her up. We've waited for another two years until she fully recovered.. they didn't blame me but... I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened and keep blaming myself.. we've almost lost her because of my carelessness.."- Yachel bawled. Drache just hugged her.

"Let go of my fiancee.. "- Klidde said angrily l. The two separated.

"Klidde.. I'm just telling him about–"- Yachel tries to explain but couldn't finish. Klidde grabbed her in his arms and glared at Drache but he was just ignored by Drache and walked away.

"I'll go see my friend"- He only said and left both of them.

"You're mine. got it?! "- Klidde madly said and left the girl Drache hid so he heard it before he really left and went to his friend.

"How is she?"- Drache asked. Chllark sigh and looks at him.

"She has no choice.."- Chllark said that confused Drache at first.

"H-huh ?"- Drache asked. Chllark patted his shoulder.

"Yachel.."- Chllark only said and left.

"She has.."- Drache mumbled and walked towards the new girl and sat on her bed on the left side of her.

"Right?"- He asked the girl sleeping. Then lean down to kiss her forehead. Then fixed her blanket and stood up.

"You're really something , My dear serene. Thanks for the sign , even risking your life."- Drache smiled happily , then left at his friend's house and drove home with a smile that didn't fade until he fell asleep.

The guy named Drache smiled again from the bottom of his heart. He realized something so unbelievable. He's not so sure but that's what he thinks of what happened today at the rooftop and on the incident years ago between Yachel and the new girl. Drache thinks of it as people calling it "Fate". The new girl saves Yachel, the girl he loves for him to meet her and love her. Now the new girl saved him saying not to lose hope and gave him courage to believe and fight for his fate that he belongs to her in any way. It ended up with him learning to smile in his will again after what happened between him and Yachel.
