' Too pathetic to notice '

I walked in slowly, my feet felt as if I was flying... I walked into the big hall with my own legs.

A wedding I was invited to by my own boyfriend, a man which I could swore sixty four hours ago that he was mine.

A man I could lay down my life for without thinking twice,

A man I wasted years of my life on... A man that I could bodly say I was gonna get married to...,

Well.. that was few hours ago.

That same man is the man getting married to my own sister.

I scoff lightly.

Sister...?

A green snake under green grass, someone who you could never believe she'd do something as tragic as this to me.

Tragic?

To them it probably sounds like fun or better still love.

"Hey sweet sister lia , you're here already"

Ophelia turned slowly as she heard that tiny voice, she would never forget that voice, she can't, that same voice that she wanted to hear always, the same voice she always wanted to be happy.

But guess what?

That same voice had invited her to her engagement ceremony with her boyfriend.

Fiona Everest.

Ophelia eyes immediately firstly noticed the intimacy between her boyfriend of 3 years and her sister.

Fiona had her arms round Francis arms, while him, Francis had his arms round Fiona's waist protectively.

She had known Francis ever since when she was still studying at University of Oxford, for the past three years, he had never been the one to openly show affection...at least not with her.

She was always the one trying to look intimate while with him, crossing arms, placing heads on shoulder, the kisses on the cheeks, she had always been the first person initiating all that.

Some times, Francis gets angry and lash out on her for acting worthless and shameless.

He uses those words to describe her actions.

But now look at him gazing at shanshan sweetly with his arms around her waist protecting her, as if he wanted to protect her from the world.

So Francis do show affection, it wasn't just with her but with her elder sister...

Life can be so funny at times, two people in which she loved turned out to stab her in the chest wickedly.

Her eyes which was fixed on the clenching arms of the two lovers was turning réd.

Why? Ophelia don't cry.

You promised not to.

Be strong.

Clarissa jones, her friend who seems to have notice her discomfort brushed her arms on Ophelia shoulder.

Ophelia got herself back immediately, she Almost had this two cunning people see tears spill down her eyes,.

Clarissa immediately spoke up in support of her friend.

" Oh! Sorry Mr paige and future Mrs paige we didn't bring any gift, I refuse to give out things to disgusting people" Clarissa added as the smile on her lips turned dirty.

Fiona's face turned sour immediately as she held unto Francis tightly for support.

Ophelia's face which was fixed on them witness Fiona clutching unto Francis tightly.

" I pray you and your Mrs wife to be never see peace" Clarissa cursed as she glared at Fiona''s face which was loosing it's warmth.

Francis seems to have gotten angry and seeing his shanshan scared, his eyes turned hostile.

" Clarissa jones , have you come here to jinxed my Marriage?" Francis questioned angrily.

" Can't believe you're on point, was it obvious, I am here to wish you stupid people bad?" She asked putting on a puzzled face.

" Are you crazy Clarissa? Ophelia have you invited your friend to disrupt my wedding? " Francis yelled as he pulled Ophelia arms angrily causing her to yelp out in pain.

Francis had pulled her arms tightly causing her to cry out loud.

Her eyes dilated as they moved to Francis face.

This man, this man who she spent three years of her life trying to please.

Three good years of her life loving,

This man who had promised to stay with her forever,

This man who had made promises upon promises to her.

The man whom she spent most times to help with his works, doing things he was supposed to.

That same man was holding her sister in his arms like she was the most delicate thing after eggs.

That same accused her of trying to ruin his engagement party with her sister.

Was she so blind that she didn't notice this side of Francis ?

Blinded stupidly by love?

That very moment, she couldn't help but uttered lowly.

" Love?" She paused as she let out a dry laugh.

"I promise never to be so foolish again, I'll never love anyone again, I curse the day the word love was brought up" she muttered with heavy heart.

" I'm talking to you, Ophelia , when did you get so pathetic?" Francis ask as he raised his voice catching the attention of many onlookers. Whispered soon fill the air as different people stated their different opinions.

" Hey, I heard Ophelia Everest likes her sisters husband to be"

" Actually I heard people say sister Ophelia tried to seduce young heir to Paige cooperation "

" She's so pathetic, how dare she still show face here?"

" Actually, I thought the heir to the paige organization was with the younger sister, Ophelia "

Different rumors went round about her, Layla felt devastated, how could people in who knew nothing accuse her of stealing someone's boyfriend.
