Chapter Five- Morrel's Prophecy

Charm's POV

At the mercy of the powerful deities, I was able to return safely to Morrel's temple. I only sent Lance to the entrance of Misty Forest, you know ... maybe he'll know the secret I'm keeping. He reminded us of the gathering that would take place before we parted ways.

When I returned to the temple, my doll Failur was the first to meet me. He jumped up and down to meet Saken as if he wanted to get up, so I followed his wishes and caressed the side of his head.

"I miss you too Failur." I said here. His ears went down as I caressed his head.

"It's good that you're back here safely." I was a little surprised when I heard Baal's familiar baritone voice as he slowly approached saken.

"Baal! I miss you too ... a little. Just a little." I told him. He silently looked at me with horrible net eyes.

Okay ... Have mercy on Baal, don't step on me!

"Follow me for Charm. The water in Morrel's spring ... it's glowing right now." He said in his usual serious tone.

I was surprised. As far as I know, Morrel's spring was long dead when he also disappeared along with the three other most powerful deities, Deity Roku, Deity Ishmael and Deity Katniss or what I used to call "Big 4" including Deity Morrel. The four supreme leaders are deities. By the way ... Deity Morrel's spring is located in a "sacred room" in the basement, if Baal calls it that, of this temple.

I saw that Baal had signaled for me to follow him, so I lowered Failur first and followed the talking tiger. When I reached the door of the "sacred room" I saw Baal raise his left paw and place it on the engraved face of the Goddess of Wisdom on the wide door.

After that ... I suddenly heard a faint crash and at the same time the door slowly opened. Simultaneously with the opening of the net, a mist came out coming from inside.

When I started to step on my feet, I noticed that Baal did not come with me and he just stayed in his position outside.

"You're not coming?" I wondered to question him once around.

"No ... You'd better face spring alone." sabi nya saken. My forehead furrowed even more

"Okay." I just said and faced the direction of the door again.

I kept walking towards the inside of this mysterious room. The mist only gets stronger when you're inside, I can hardly see anything anymore. I just followed my instincts and just walked straight.

I just did that until a few seconds later ... I saw my purpose as well. In the middle of the thick mist I found Morrel's spring as well.

As Baal said, the whole area around the spring was lit up and I was a little surprised to see that it had enough water. The first time it was shown to Baal, the spring was still dry. So I was really shocked to see it suddenly water!

"Charm ..."

Suddenly I stopped walking when I heard a woman's voice calling my name. He called my name three times before I realized that his voice was coming from the spring itself. The light of the spring coincided with his speech.

"Huh? How can I help?" I asked with a frown as I used one of my hands to wipe away my tears

There was a few seconds of silence before I heard Deity Morrel speak again.

"Each temple has its own springs that symbolize the power of each deity, but because we are temporarily out of this world for the reason that one by one we are chased and killed by mortals ... each spring also gradually lost their lives. "

"That is why ... You are given the heavy responsibility of reviving each spring in the three remaining temples. Through this, we will be able to end this dark day for our deities and start a new life again and again. .. "explained the person I was talking to. I was shocked to hear that.

"Am I the one destined in your prophecy to defeat the king of mortals and put an end to all this chaos?" I can't believe I said.

After that I went out of that room, and immediately the wide door of the "sacred room" closed behind me. Baal came out to meet me.

"Did the deity tell you about the prophecy?" his opening question. I just nodded in response.

"Baal ... What if I can't accomplish my mission?" I said while bowing my head. I still have doubts about my ability ...

"You know Charm, you won't be given a huge responsibility if the exalted deities don't trust you. So what you have to do now to succeed in this mission is to have a little confidence in yourself. . " advice neto saken. I looked up because of what he said.

"Thank you Baal, maybe you're right" I agree here while smiling looking at him.

"Also, I am set to accompany you on your journey to guide you so that you may trace the other temples." more net. My eyes almost widened because of what he said.

"Isn't that right ??? What about Morrel's temple? Who's going to guard it?" I asked.

"Misty Forest will take care of this temple. And the whole temple is sealed under Morrel's power, even though he is a little weak, no mortal can enter here lightly." He assured saken.

Yehey! I am with Baal on my journey! Is this a road to friendship between the two of us?

In the middle of my rejoicing I suddenly remembered something, that I had forgotten to tell Baal earlier because he had preceded me in speaking.

"Oh Baal ... uhm, I should have said something." I'm ashamed to say it. Baal was silent so I just kept talking.

"I was invited by the mortal I helped to a gathering that would take place tomorrow night ... And I agreed to go." I said, my eyes glancing at the reaction of the person I was talking to but it just remained calm. Well, that's good. I guess ...

"So can I come? At least for the last time?" I finally said everything I wanted to say!

But ... I suddenly felt sad as I thought maybe that would be the last time I saw the young man with orange eyes.

"I hope this happens. It's up to you Charm whether you attend or not. Just don't forget what Deity Morrel told you. And I hope this is really the last time." sabi neto. I was surprised when he somehow allowed me! Did he suddenly feel better?

"Thank you." I could only say.

Even before I start my journey, I want to see his face first ...

Baal's POV

5 years ago ...

Whenever dusk came, it was my habit to actually go to the sacred room to monitor the spring activity of my master Morrel. But for a long time when no progress was taking place ... I also got used to seeing him dry-and lifeless.

A few years later, spring was just like that ... until a twilight came ... I found the atmosphere glowing as soon as I opened the wide door of the sacred room. I immediately hurried to it.

"Baal ..." I heard neto saken call.

"Your servant is here." I formally promise once I bow my head.

"I want you to prepare for the coming young deity here in the temple. I want you to take good care of him ... and guide him as he grows up." gently said the master.

"I'll follow master ..." I replied to what he said.

"This young deity is not just an ordinary deity. He was created to fulfill a very important mission in this world. So do your best to teach him everything you know about magic and protect him from dangers ... "

"For when the appointed day comes for him to know his mission, he must be ready for any test that will come to him," he explained.

"Yes master. I will do everything I can." I replied.

That conversation didn't last long because the light around the spring suddenly disappeared. I immediately left the sacred room and waited for the young deity he said was coming.

As my master said ... that same night the young deity came to the temple- he would fulfill Morrel's prophecy.

And the one destined to save all mankind ...
