Chapter 8 It all ended the way it was written

Progressing towards North, Seth peeked back to study if his mother was coming after him. He knew she might been looking for him by now. But regardless, Seth walked faster into the bustling streets and walked towards the crowded portal park.

"Hey! You stepped on me!" Seth yelled at a Mage who was running towards the car park leading to the capital city - where the Mage Academy was located.

"Sorry," the chap who just stepped on him said, still running without turning back.

"You fool," Seth cursed and continued walking.

Before he could know it, another foot banged on his leg, causing him to scream in pain. This time, Seth almost punched the fool in the face. But after seeing the strong aura of this Mage, Seth had no choice but to withdraw his moving fist which had almost hit the Mage's nose.

However, the Mage only stared at Seth and continued running. This was because the "Resumption Hour" of the Mage Academy was about to end, and the gate of the Academy was surely going to shut down.

'This Mage is a Jerk! Just like Xavier... He couldn't apologize for stepping on me,' Seth angrily thought, clenched his fist, and continued walking.

Moments later, Seth finally arrived at the portal park. At least, portal parks remained the same everywhere you go. A long queue of about two hundred meters was formed at the front of the portal as the whooshing of the mysterious portal continued to display. Seth watched as this portal switched to different locations in the Black Scorpion Clan, making him amazed as he observed.

Seth waited for his turn, and he stepped forward. The Walter Family's territory transport cost him three S-coins. After paying up, Seth walked through the portal, aiming to the left as he took a look at the address.

[16th block, Walter Family, Black Scorpion Clan], [A Quest of the Future for Seth Rotunda].

Seth's very first gaze was placed on the territory of the Walter Family. The area was crowded, mostly filled with Newborns. People from all Clans in the Northern continent were present in The Eye's office. Before Seth approached the building, he threw the address paper and sighed softly.

'I'm not going to make her throw me from her office. I can do it. I will try to behave myself,' Seth thought, grimacing.

After those thoughts, he walked into the foreseer's office. The Eye was a beautiful yet powerful Mistress who had leveled up to (A+)-level in her Ability Level. Someday, she is definitely going to become a Maga after reaching (S++)-level. She was known as a strong Mistress and a merciless Monster Slayer.

The moment Seth walked into the office of the foreseer, she raised her head in his direction and scowled. Her sudden attitude made Seth frightened, but he still walked forward and took a seat.

'I pray she won't feast on my flesh.'

It took about some minutes before it was Seth's turn to step forward and sit on a chair facing directly to the foreseer. Seth's face was on the floor as he stepped forward, his heart pounding hard.

"What's your name?" The Eye asked, staring at Seth as though looking at some piece of shit.

"I'm Seth Rotunda," Seth replied, still placing his gaze on the floor.

The Eye quickly brought out a blank book and wrote something on it. Seth already knew it was his name. At least, that was what happened in his novel.

"Okay, so what's your Quest?" The Eye asked.

"My Quest is... For my future," Seth answered. This time, he tried to look at her since her voice was calm. However, Seth wanted to know what would happen in the future since his novel never ended.

The Eye nodded positively as Seth said those words. Next, she veiled her head with the attached cap of the Black Scorpion Clan's cultural attire. Suddenly, her eyes began to glow with rainbow-like lights.

Seth was patiently waiting for her to describe what she saw as he sat cross-legged. Truly, he didn't remember what happened at this moment. But he knew something really shameful would end the scene. But at this point, Seth wanted to know what might happen in the future, knowing that he was not going to end his book with a happy-ending style.

After waiting for about thirty minutes, The Eye finally finished her analysis. Her gaze towards Seth suddenly turned uncongenial, making Seth startled the moment their eyes met.

"You punk! You are the one doing this to us. Get out of my territory you male bitch!" The Eye shouted, pointing in the direction of the Type-1 door of her office.

'Huh, what have I done wrong? Why is she sending me away without telling me about my future?'

"I'm not going anywhere without knowing my future! If you don't tell me what you saw, then I will stay here till nightfall," Seth challenged, putting on a furious countenance.

The Eye became more angry to the extent that she brought out a dagger from her cloth's pocket. Seeing this, Seth's eyes widened in fear, and he raised his hands to demonstrate a surrender.

"Okay fine, I'll leave. But expect me later. If I become a Mage, I'll come after you," Seth threatened with a serious expression.

"You bitch!" The Eye yelled and quickly dragged Seth towards the door, tossing him right after. Before Seth could realize what was going on, he was already lying helplessly on the wet ground.

It was raining now, and many Newborns who were waiting outside were already gone. There were two waiting sections in the Walter Family's territory: the outside and the corner of the foreseer's office. Since it was raining, the Newborns at the outside didn't have a choice but to go home. Coming back another day was never a bad idea.

Surprisingly, Seth saw a Half-elven, standing firmly in the downpour.

'It's my damn plot! I'm not going to get slapped in the face. I must ignore this.'

Seth tried to defeat his plot this time, and it seems like he has truly ignored it. Praising his foolish self, Seth walked towards East, aiming back to the portal park. He knew that the Black Scorpion Clan was not safe for Newborns like him, so he had to hasten his footsteps.

Seth only walked for twenty meters before a loud voice, just like that of a system, sounded from nowhere.

[The Dormant Academy is now open for entry, Newborns should join the academy within two days. The requirements would be made known to you when you arrive at the academy. The Moon Day is to come in less than a month].

Hearing this, Seth began to jog towards the portal park. He had to notify his new parents about this as soon as possible since the entry was going to close in two days.

The moment he arrived at the portal park, he noticed that the crowd was now unusually large. This time, two queues were formed, and two portals were created.

Seth quickly joined the queue on the right side after observing that many individuals were approaching from behind.

As Seth joined the queue, he unintentionally stepped on someone ahead of him. Before Seth could know it, a soft palm slammed on his face, causing him to exclaim in anger.

"Argh!"

"You bitch son, I told you to watch your fat feet next time," the Newborn who just slapped Seth said, putting on a serious look.

Surprisingly, it was the Half-elven he saw at Portal of Vitality's domain. Seth almost erupted the moment he came to discover this. And the most upsetting part was that he couldn't defeat his plot.

Everything ended the way it was written. And tomorrow, the same thing was going to happen.

"Monsters! Some monsters have escaped from the Maze."

Someone shouted from behind, causing a stir at the portal park. Seth quickly tried to remember his next scene, and he finally knew what was going to happen.

'Later today, some monsters are going to dash into the Golden Fox Clan. Anyways, I'm going to kill a Critter with Father's longsword, and save Mother from dying.'
