Chapter 3 Heartbroken

Was Sapphire expecting more from her dear husband? Is it wrong to be wanted by your husband?

Rowan couldn't hold himself back and said to his father" Emily is saying only the truth, Dad. What is there to shout? She belongs to a middle-class family, is it not true? Calm down, Dad. Why are you shouting at Emily for this classless girl, Dad?"

Michael Hudson: she is your wife, give her some respect.

ROWAN: fine, Dad, now sit and have your breakfast.

Without looking at her face, he shouted" Serve the breakfast ".

Michael Hudson: sapphire, come dear, sit and have breakfast with us.

When she was going to sit with her father-in-law, Rowan said," What about our family tradition? "

Michael Hudson: what traditions?

Rowan: a tradition of our family, Dad. A wife can only eat after her husband, which he will leave for her on his plate. Already forgot?

Michael was watching Sapphire and her innocence, how can someone be so innocent? She is not meeting my eyes but only doing her job, which is not her job. But who will make my son understand that he has a gem?

Eating his breakfast, Micheal moved towards his room and Sapphire came near the table to collect the dirty dishes, when a flowery scent hit Rowan's nostrils, and he stilled. He was looking here and there he came face to face with a white creamy skin. Looking at the source, he found it to be his new wife's stomach.

Moving his eyes upwards, he looks towards her chest, then cleavage, and inhales sharply. Desires run through his veins, making him salivated to have this beauty. But his ego was bigger than his lust, so he controlled himself and said "Ops".

Sapphire: what?

ROWAN: I left only this for you while pointing at his plate where only a slice of orange was present.

She disgustingly looked at the slice.

Emily and Natasha smirked and said" Naughty".

ROWAN: I am your husband, right? So, now come eat this.

Sapphire nodded her head and took that piece into her mouth. She controls the tears of humiliation given by her dear husband.

Rowan shouted at her and said, "In the room now" and left from there.

Her heart beat fast remembering yesterday's incident....

In his room...

She entered fearfully and stood far away from him, he handed her a box and said, "Your wedding gift".

She was confused but said otherwise, "What... What was the need?

ROWAN: open it, darling.

She blushed but instantly opened the box, but the thing inside it shocked her more.

Sapphire: what... What is this? She asked, choking on her tears.

ROWAN divorce papers, baby girl. You won't sign it now, but you will, whenever I want you to. Otherwise, you will not sign it, right?

Sapphire: yes (nervously).

ROWAN: you don't have to sign it now but after some time.

Sapphire: what are you talking about?

ROWAN: don't act dumb, girl, I know you are not. You will sign these papers when I am satisfied with you, understand?

. Before she could say anything to him, he started moving towards her while she was going backward until her back hit the wall, and he caged her. ". WH... What are... Are you doing?"

She held her nose tightly because he just had alcohol now and his mouth was smelling badly.

ROWAN: move your hand (shouted).

She shivered fearfully, still looked down, and removed her hands from her nose.

ROWAN: I wanted to divorce you right now, baby girl. But I won't. Do you know why? Because you didn't listen to me and cancel this marriage. So, now I will punish you, and you have to bear the consequences, right?

Sapphire: I... I... I read... Wanted to bu... But...

ROWAN: but you ended up being a greedy bitch, right? Marrying a billionaire was fun for you, right? You wanted to enjoy a luxurious life. So, you enjoy staying here, but I will make sure you face hell every day, so you will regret your decision to marry me.

She looked at him with her flushed face and then looked down, wiping her eyes, and decided not to explain herself further. She wiped her eyes harshly gathered some courage and then said ever so fiercely" I will not let your hell affect me ever, you can try".

Rowan grabbed her jaw tightly and looked into her eyes with his red eyes which were throwing fire and said, "You will regret saying this and I will make sure of it". With that, he pushed her on the floor.

He moved out of the room, leaving her with a red fingerprinted face on her white face.

She stayed on the floor in that position for many minutes and then squeezed herself holding her both knees to her chest only to hide her face and break down crying. She sobbed madly, remembering everything from yesterday happening to her. Furthermore, she mumbled softly with a crying face, " I miss you, Mom."

With that, she dozed off. At noon, sapphire's sleep broke by hearing a knocking sound on her door. She looked around and found herself on the floor like Rowan had thrown her yesterday. She ran and opened the door, but found her father-in-law on the other side of the door.

Her face was pale and red due to crying, she was trying hard to be normal when she asked...

Sapphire: papa??

Michael's eyes fell on her cheeks which were red and swollen and had fingerprints, he angrily asked" What happened to your cheek dear? Di... Did Rowan hit you?"

She quickly covered her cheek and tried to be normal, not to worry her father-in-law "No papa he didn't, it is... It is just I am too sensitive, so when he held me, it became red."

He released the breath that he was holding and caressed her head saying "Always be happy my dear daughter."

She absentmindedly nodded and added "I am always happy papa, do not worry. "

Michael turned around and said being guilty, "It is all my fault, I conducted your marriage with my beast son. But dear, I just wanted to secure his married life. I didn't want him to lead a life like mine, where there is no one to take care of him".

Sapphire couldn't understand what is he trying to say, but still mumbled slowly" Papa, what happened?"

Michael: Natasha is my second wife, she is not Rowan's own mother. She passed away, giving birth to Rowan. I thought Rowan needed a mother, that's why I married her. But it didn't turn good, it is all just an unwanted married life that I am bearing for my second child, Emily.

Sapphire: papa, everyone is good they just require time to realize it, to change themselves into good people.

Michael smiled hearing her innocent answer and spoke his mind out," See that's the reason I married you to my son. Because I know you have all the qualities to change him. Just give him some time, only you can make him realize his mistake."

Sapphire looked down and smiled painfully, "he is much more sensible than me papa. I don't need to correct him, he does not need it. You know what papa, just because he hates me doesn't mean he hates everyone and that he is not a good man".

Michael: dear, you are new here, you don't know him.

Sapphire: buy you knew him papa that he never wanted to marry me in the first place, then why did you make him marry me forcefully? Now whatever the consequences are we have to bear it.

Michael turned around and hardly spoke: yes, I knew I was a selfish person. But it is the last thing I could do for my son. He deserves to get a good married life, not like mine. Because of the way he is now spending his life, it can't be someone's life. Every day a new woman.

Sapphire: papa, you knew still...

She was looking at him somewhat accusingly.

Michael: I am sorry...

Saying so, he left the room, and Sapphire set on the couch holding her head looking at Rowan's king-sized bed, then at his photo which was hanging on the wall behind his bed. He looks like some Greek god. She cried looking down being numb, and didn't know what to do and how to react.

She wiped her eyes looked at the ceiling and whispered," Rowan is not at fault. I will divorce him. I will sign the paper and free him from this unwanted marriage. Furthermore, I can't force myself on him".

Sapphire was now determined to divorce him at any cost....
