"I have previously told you that you won't be able to leave tonight, so it is in your best interest to remain at this location. You're going to have to put up with this for the time being, despite the fact that this ward isn't very pleasant."
"This is not the nicest..." Nathan's voice became softer. It seems that they have different conceptions of what it means for a place to be pleasant. It was the first time he had ever been in a hospital room that was quite as large as this one and even had a lot of amenities.
"Thank you. I promise to do all in my power to repay your generosity in any manner that I can!" Nathan beamed a smile with a lot of enthusiasm. He had no idea that this choice would turn out to be the wisest one he would ever make in his whole life.
Naomi let out a chuckle and said, "You are so kind. I'll stop by tomorrow to see how you are doing." She said and then abruptly turned around and walked out. The smile that had been on her lips was no longer there.
"O... Okay." Nathan gave a small wave to her, but she didn't see it, so he continued to wave till her figure could no longer be seen.
"Ah... I didn't think I would be rescued by anyone, and most certainly not by such a stunningly attractive woman." He brought his hands up to shield himself from the light, and as he recalled the events that had just transpired, his face gradually become more red.
"Ahhhh! She's so charismatic!" He screamed into his pillow.
***************
As soon as Naomi parked her car and got out of it, the security man wanted to close the gates but she stopped him from doing so.
She reasoned that because the lights in the house were still on, the people living there must still be awake. It's likely that they were waiting for her to arrive.
She let out a heavy sigh as she knew what was going to happen next. She did not close the gates because she was aware that she might still walk out later in the night and then sheafe her way to the home itself.
Naomi immediately ducked down after opening the door in order to avoid being hit in the head with the tea cup that was hurled in her direction. It shattered into numerous pieces before letting out a deafening boom and crashing to the ground.
Naomi turns her back to the guy who tossed the tea cup and gives him a condescending look while his hands remain spread out in front of him.
"Can you please explain what this means?" The man let out a yell.
"Father, I feel as though I should be asking you that question. If you had hit me with that tea cup, do you have any clue how painful it would have been? You are aware that my skin is very delicate, and I would want not to have a scar." Naomi reacted while clenching her fists and raising her voice.
"You... You wench! You have such a nerve to argue with me like that! You don't feel the slightest bit of remorse for what you've done, do you?"
"Hmm..." Naomi began to hum a tune as she sat down on the lone couch in the room that wasn't already occupied. The level of repulsion that could be seen in her eyes was tremendous.
"Father, I am at a complete loss to understand what might possibly be the source of your rage. You need to take a few deep breaths and calm down before your heart quits pumping. In a nutshell, what I'm trying to convey is that it's not healthy to harbor anger." While she was speaking, Naomi flashed a smile, but it wasn't a joyful one.
"You... You would better return home and apologize to your fiancee; if necessary, get down on one knee. You have no choice but to wed him!"
"Why should I even consider doing that? Naomi asked, "Why should I kneel? I have many men who are more distinguished than he who are waiting in line to get married to me; even the sons of ministers, Princes, and kings are dying to marry me; therefore, why should I kneel?" Naomi laughed and said, "That's not going to be possible, dad. You can give your other daughter to him to marry him if you want someone else to marry him, but it would be even better if you married him yourself.
"You..."
"Naomi, you have no right to address your father in such a manner! He is your elder!" The other lady, who had been sitting there silently before, rose up and joined in the conversation.
"Then he ought to conduct himself as a mature person! What gives you the right to speak? Simply take a seat like the vase that you are, and refrain from speaking unless you are directly addressed." Naomi retorted as veins began to pop all over her head and her hands.
"Since you both are yelling at me in this manner, it is clear that you are aware of what he did; however, you still expect me to marry him? Ha... People who did the same thing many years ago should not have any other expectations from them. What can I say? Those who share similar characteristics tend to congregate together. I wonder how my mother felt when she found out about the both of you years ago."
"What... What are you saying? Can you hear your good daughter, Lyon! Can you make out what she's saying?" The woman let out a strenuous heave, her expression contorted with rage.
"Naomi!"
"Father! Listen to me very attentively, because I will not put up with any disrespect directed at either my person or my reputation. Since you have a history of engaging in such deviant behavior, you could believe that cheating on your partner and keeping a mistress is an acceptable way to pass your days, but I won't put up with that kind of crap. Nobody, not even you, will be able to coerce me into doing what you want. I just wanted to let you both know that I will have nothing to do with that guy, and if any of you try to push my hand, I will demonstrate to you why people refer to me as a madwoman. The only reason I came here is so that I can inform you about my plans to remove your control from my life. I hope you don't wake up from your sleep, father; it's been a pleasure knowing you."
Naomi was about to leave the house when she turned around and continued to look in the direction of the room that was located on the opposite side of the house.
"Oh, and make sure that you destroy everything in that room. I won't be returning to this house, and I have no use for any of the items that are in there anymore."
Lyon's eyes widened in surprise, "W...What do you mean?" His words were trembling.
"Precisely what you heard me say."
"Naomi! Naomi, come back here! Naomi!" They yelled at her from behind as she got into her car, drove out of the garage, and sped through the gate leading to the parking lot.
She was able to see the horrified looks on both of her father and stepmother's faces as she drove away from the house. After seeing the looks on their faces, she couldn't help but feel a genuine feeling of joy.
"Ha... Hahahaha!" Naomi let out a hearty chuckle, and as she did, tears began to form in the outside corners of her eyes. It was simply amazing in every way! Taking in their reactions was just the best thing ever. She would give anything simply to be able to recount that experience one more time.
She had been driving for a little while when she finally came to a stop in front of a massive mansion. When it was dark, the exterior of the home appeared to be a really eerie place. It was so terrifying that no one, not even grownups or children, would dare venture around in that area.
The illustrious Blue Starflower Mansion, also known as Naomi Campbell's residence. A stately home with a vast garden that was teeming with an incredible variety of exotic plants and flowers, including a blue Starflower, which is commonly known as the "flower of love." At the auction, a number of powerful and wealthy individuals, including nobles, had competed for the mansion; nevertheless, because of Naomi's reputation and dogged determination, she was ultimately successful in acquiring the property.
Nevertheless, you won't be able to refer to a gloomy and depressing home that is that big as a dwelling.
After parking her car for the second time, she went inside her house, took a shower, and then went straight to her bedroom. She then went to sleep. The day was filled with a lot of exciting things.
You cannot rely on a human being to come to your rescue.
So just spare yourself~~
Her phone was ringing, and the sound of it reverberated throughout the room. When she saw on the caller ID that it was not someone essential, she threw her phone back on the desk, closed her eyes, and hung up.
Because she had to go to work the next day, she could not afford to be sleepy. However, just before she went to sleep, an image of a beautiful person's face appeared in her mind.
Without realising it, a grin spread across her lips. Dreams of a handsome boy coming to mind.
