Bianca's head was aching, and she felt like she could collapse at any moment. Despite feeling this way, she continued attending their Physical Education class.
She squinted as the pain in her head intensified, accompanied by an empty stomach.
She suddenly reached out to the person next to her when she felt dizzy and her surroundings blurred.
"Are you okay?" Jake's voice asked. He was their class president.
She nodded and apologized for grabbing onto him without warning. However, on the second occurrence, she couldn't handle it anymore and fainted.
"Bianca!"
That was the last thing she heard before losing consciousness.
Bianca woke up with a white ceiling above her. She weakly looked around and realized she was in the university clinic.
"Miss Bianca," she turned to the man sitting on her right.
"Professor," she softly replied, feeling her body weakening.
"You made me worry. You shouldn't attend your class if you didn't feel well. And you shouldn't also come into the school if you haven't eaten yet," he said coldly, and she felt a shiver run down her spine.
She bowed her head and stared at the blanket covering her. "I'm sorry. It won't happen again."
The professor sighed heavily and got up. He returned with food and water. "Eat."
Despite her weakness, she ate what he gave her without any objection. She was incredibly hungry as she hadn't eaten the previous night, this morning, and at lunchtime.
She choked a bit while eating, and he quickly offered her some water. After a short while, Professor Pietro spoke again.
"Why are you starving yourself, Miss Bianca?" He asked, looking concerned.
She shook her head and focused on eating, "Nothing."
"You tell me, or I won't let you attend your PE class for one month. It will have a big impact on your grades," he threatened, and fear gripped her.
Her eyes welled up as she stared at him. "S-Sir..."
The handsome professor let out a sigh. "So, what?"
She swallowed her food, feeling a lump in her throat that prevented her from speaking. "Because... I don't have money to buy food."
"Damn, this is all the Administrator's fault," he muttered to himself. "Why didn't you accept my offer?"
"I'm embarrassed, Professor. Besides, there's no need. I'm fine. I'll go to my next class now," she said, attempting to get up, but Professor Pietro stopped her.
"Try to leave this clinic, and I swear I will kick you out of this school! Try me, Bianca Martin!" he yelled unexpectedly, leaving her shocked since she hadn't done anything wrong.
Terrified, she returned to the bed and silently lay down.
"Bianca..." he said softly, using her name. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shout at you."
She just nodded in response, afraid to speak.
"It's just that you say you're okay and it's nothing, but why are you here? You fainted, Miss Bianca. That's a serious matter," he continued.
She lowered her head even more at his words and felt his firm hand on her shoulder.
"Accept my offer now, Ms. Martin. The salary is good, and your expenses are covered," Professor Pietro insisted, but she hesitated, feeling something she couldn't quite explain.
"Okay, if that's how you really feel. I won't force you," he conceded. He tapped the food on the tray in front of her. "Continue eating. I'll just talk to the nurse."
