Chapter 7 Seven

We got to the venue and I must say it was worth all the hype . The cars alone is something to be talked about . The rich citizen of the state came to celebrate with them . I went along with Sasha . She insisted thst I stay beside her through out all the event . I can't say no to her now nor ever . I'm her bride maid after all and I'm meant to do my job as a bride maid . Funny right ? But it's the truth.

We all look gorgeous in our dress but the celebrant is much more beautiful . My make up was simple base in my request . I wouldn't want to cake up my face with loads of makeup . I don't want to be unrecognizable. It's not something I like .

Sasha heaved in a sigh " I can't believe I'm doing this . It felt like a dream " she said

I smiled and held her hand " you'll be fine . I promise and I'll make sure that Max treats you week like he promised "

She smiled " thanks a lot for staying with me . I know it's hard for you but you still stayed behind just for me "

" I'll always be here with you whenever you need me . Remember we are best friends for life "

She chuckled " yeah you are right "

We got interrupted by a knock on the window . I furrowed my brows as I stared at who it was cos it came from my side of the mirror .

I wind the window down and the man gave a friendly smile " I'm sorry yo I interrupt you rudely but it's time for the celebration"

I nodded " thanks "

The driver came to get the door for us . I stared at Sasha and told her " you look so beautiful tonight . Make sure you hold your head up high cos you deserve all the world "

She nodded " thanks . I really appreciate this . I'm sure dad and mom are inside . Those two are one of a kind"

" I know right but at the end of the day , they love you so much " I tried to lighten her mood and she nodded " yeah they love me "

I got down firm and stretch my hand to take hers for support . She gently came down the car . She stood right beside me while I squeezed her hand " you got this "

She nodded " there is something I need to tel you " she said and I raised a brows " what is that "

" I forget to mention that there are cute guys in ther tonight so feel free to find someone who likes you "

I couldn't believe she was saying this to me . Sasha burst out laughing . I knew she wanted to lighten the mood and she did but it still gave me goosebumps hearing her say that .

"I have a boyfriend remember?" I said clearly and she rolled her eye

" who cares . Tristen hasn't been doing his job as your boyfriend . I'm sure there are lots of men out there that will appreciate you and treat you like the queen you are "

I hit her shoulder lightly " don't you say that one more time "

She smile and shut up .

" let's enjoy this night . It's all about you and not me so forget about me right now and Tristan will be here to keep me company " I said with a forced smile . I hope he would be here to keep me company as I imagined . I just hope he won't leave on time like he use to nowadays .

" let's see about that then " she said .

We finally got to the door steps . The body guards were behind us . Did I forget to mention that the bodyguards tagged along too. They came in a different car . I don't blame them . It's there job to protect there boss's only child .

Sasha held my hand as the door got opened and all eyes were on us . I'm sure they've been informed that the bride to be was here cos the way they all stood up to welcome her is surprising .

We got inside.Sasha stopped and I wanted asking her why she stop but then a guy walked forward and he couldn't stop staring at her . I knew right then that he was Max. I hide my smile cos I friend is a goner . She claims she doesn't want this marriage but she couldn't stop swooning too. Yeah right .

" milady" he said as he took her hand and kissed the back of her hand . Sasha's face was red like a tomatoes . I can't believe my friend is in love .

" hi"

" you look so beautiful tonight " he said with a smile thst would make any woman melt . He is such a charmer . I'll give it to him . He knees how to interrupt with his ladies I must say .

Sasha finally realized I was standing behind her si she said " here is my friend, the one I've been telling you about "

Max dart his eyes at me and a look of realization crossed his face " pardon my manner . I'm Max Carson "

I took his hand for a hand shake " Tracy is the name "

" I must say , I've heard a lot about you"

I stared at my friend for a second and she looked away but I know damn well she knew I was going to ask her what she said about me .

" same " I replied .

" welcome to the grand party . " he said and then we proceeded to our seat . I couldn't stare at the people . I was so shy . I guess it cos I make up . I wasn't use to the eye lashes and such . I love my face bare .

Sasha went along with Max while I found a spot to seat after they showed me where to sit . I won't lie , I can feel eyes on me . I don't know how many but I can still feel someone staring at me . I took in a deep breath then raised my eyes and then I saw him.

The bus man . He was sitting opposite me . I had forgetter I was sitting on a round chair where other people close to the couple are sitting but I didn't check to see not until now . Why the hell would I sit here ?

He refused to break eye contact and I'm not gonna lose too. Two can play the game . He folded his arms as if daring me and I folded my arms to show him that I don't give a fuck either . I realize that my action only made made my boobs to pop up . That made me broke eye contact with him. I saw his lips tug up in what seem like a smirk .

" never knew you are close to the bride " I heard him say. I wasn't sure he was talking to me not until he raised s brows and said " are you deaf ?"

Did he just call me deaf ? Is he for real " I don't have to reply to your questions . And for your information I'm not deaf"

He chuckled "I knew you were holding back at your work place "

I rolled my eyes " I don't have to submit to up mister . "

" oh well let's see about that sooner "

Before I could reply him, I felt an arm my waist . I was caught of guard at first not until I hear the person speak " hi love

It's Tristan . A smile tugged up my lips . I can't believe he is here . I wrapped my arms around him " I didn't know you'll make it " I said excitedly .

He chuckled " trust thst I would . But I brought a friend with me "

I was kind of confused " a friend ? Who is that ?"

Out of no where , a lady came to me view . She had a smile on her face . Something about her seem off but I put on a smile not to be rude .

" Hi " she said while she stretched out her hands for a shake . I took it " Hi"

Tristen sat beside me and said " she is a old friend of mine and she came to town so I thought of taking her along to meet new people "

I nodded . It's understandable." It's nice having you "

" I'm Theresa by the way " she said

I nodded " Tracy is the name " I said to her " please have your seat "

She sat beside Tristan . I don't know why I feel so insecure having her close to Tristan . I just knew something was off but can't really point a finger .

I didn't know what prompt me to raise my head . My eyes met thst of the bus guy. He has been staring at me through out . I rolled my eye at him . I noticed someone came to whisper something in his eyes and they both got up and left.

I was at peace when he left . The way he stared at me makes me feel so uncomfortable. I don't know why but I feel so uncomfortable with him staring at me . He a very beautiful eyes and one can easily get lost in them .
