Chapter 4 Bad News

After getting the news, Jasmine tried to contact Sean, but his number was not active. Finally, Jasmine chose to wait for news from him; even though her heart was unsettled, she still tried to think positively.

"Mrs., we have a meeting with SYL's company today," Yosi exclaimed.

"Ah, yes," Mine replied.

"Incidentally, Mr. Erwin from SYL's company has come and is already in the meeting room," Yosi exclaimed again.

"Okay, I'll be there," Mine said.

Jasmine put her cell phone in her desk drawer and got up from her seat. She walked out of the room, followed by Yosi.

Jasmine entered the meeting room.

"How are you, Jasmine?" greeted someone wearing a suit with a tie that matched the tall man.

"Yes, I'm doing well. How about you, Erwin?" asked Jasmine, who was now sitting in one of the chairs near Erwin.

"I'm good too."

"Then let's get straight to work," said Jasmine, and Erwin nodded his head.

Erwin was a coworker and friend in college. Jasmine already knew that Erwin had feelings for her, but Jasmine didn't care because she was already married to Sean. And after a long disappearance, Erwin has now returned to lead his father's company and is now Mine's business partner.

Erwin continued to speak seductively to Mine; he also flirted with her, but Mine took him as a joke and was never serious.

"Stop playing around, win." My reprimand made Erwin chuckle.

"You're still the ignorant Jasmine; never change," Erwin chuckled, making Jasmine roll her eyes in disgust.

She had just finished cleaning herself. She was wiping her wet hair with a small towel.

Jasmine's movements were interrupted when her cell phone rang and showed the name of someone who had been annoying Jasmine all day.

"Hello!" Jasmine exclaimed when she received the call.

"What's wrong with your tone?"

"Where have you been calling me from? You've been busy with your new woman!" Jasmine exclaimed in a snarky tone.

"What do you mean? I just landed; you know I have a flight today," Sean replied. "What's wrong with you, Mine? Why are you so grumpy?"

"Who was that girl at the hotel, Sean?"

"A girl? Which woman?"

"Don't lie! I've seen the picture; now tell me who that woman was with shoulder-length hair."

Sean was silent for a while, and there was a sigh.

"She's Mia," Sean replied.

"Damn you, Sean! You left me just to have fun with your mistress!" raged Jasmine.

"I didn't have an affair. Listen to me first, mine."

"I don't want to hear any explanation from you. You already admitted it and even told me his name. You were even in the same hotel. Did you spend the night with him? You slept with him, didn't you?" Jasmine was getting out of control and shouting in annoyance.

"Listen to me first."

"Fuck you!"

Mine was both annoying and hurtful. She immediately disconnected the phone. And I could only cry. Her cell phone rang again, and mine ignored it.

"You're bad, Sean!" she sobbed. "Here I have to endure missing you, and there you are just playing with a bitch. This is how mean you are to me, Hizz."

An upset Jasmine threw her pillow away and made a mess of her bed. She vented her emotions about the things in front of her.

Jasmine was irritable and accustomed to receiving lavish gifts from her parents. Making her a selfish, arrogant, and childish person. But underneath it all, Jasmine is very kind.

Initially, it was also Jasmine who fell in love with Sean. She had confessed her love to Sean when they were in school, but Sean rejected her. They returned when Mine was in college and Sean was training pilots at an event. Mine forced her parents to make an arranged marriage with Sean's family. Eventually, through this arranged marriage, they got married. At first, Jasmine thought Sean would reject her again, but Sean accepted the arranged marriage without considering anything.

Even though Sean's attitude was flat and cold, Sean always understood Jasmine, and even Sean always knew what Jasmine wanted. Although he never confessed his love, Sean always cared for Jasmine and accepted Jasmine's childish behavior.

Jasmine herself always felt that her love was unrequited because Sean never expressed his feelings for her. She thought she was the only one who loved Sean.

On the other hand, Sean was still at the airport, where he could only stare at the screen of his cell phone and repeatedly call Mine, who also did not pick up his calls.

"Huft," he complained, and finally he chose not to contact Mine anymore. Sean took off the pilot hat he was wearing. He was pensive for a moment, thinking about what Mine knew about Mia. What exactly was the photo Mine saw? She couldn't listen to a single word of Sean's explanation.

"Maybe I'll try contacting her later," he muttered, putting his cell phone into his pants pocket.
