Chapter 4 Punished

***Aurora's POV***

I watched him sit on the chair. Honestly if not for the fact that he's rude and wicked, he's handsome. His brown long hair was neatly packed and his hair covered his left eye as usual. He took a spoonful into his mouth and he spat it on me.

"What is this?" He yelled at me even though I wasn't the one who made the food.

"What's wrong sir?" I asked and he stood up.

"Did you do this on purpose? For revenge?" He asked.

What's he talking about?

"What's going on? I don't understand." I said.

"Taste it. Take the goddamn food." He yelled and I tasted the food. I swallowed it with force. It was salty and had lots of pepper.

"So? You want to kill me? Huh!" He yelled.

"Stop yelling at me sir, You kidnapped me against my will, beat me up and turned me to your maid," I yelled back and the next thing I got was a slap on my face. I fell and cried.

"Are you crazy? How dare you talk to me that way?" He yelled.

The woman who took me to the kitchen winked at me and gestured for me to kneel.

I knelt and apologized. "I'm sorry my king."

"Sorry for yourself. You must go fetch water in all of the drums as a punishment and none of you must help her." He said and walked away.

"I didn't do anything wrong," I said to myself.

The woman walked up to me and held me.

"Sorry. I don't know how this happened but just be happy he didn't do anything worse than slapping you." She said and I stood up.

"Where are the drums I have to fill?" I asked.

"Follow me. I'm Martha." She introduced herself.

"Nice meeting you." I smiled. I smiled for the first time I got into this kingdom.

She took me to where the drums were and they were three big drums.

"Why would he want me to fill this?" I asked.

"He just wants to punish you. Believe me, this is little. I've seen lots of his anger." She said and I frowned.

"He does this often?" I asked and she nodded.

"I was sold to him after I was born. I've spent twenty-three years in this palace." She said and I gasped.

"What? Twenty-three years?" I asked and she nodded. She looked older than her age.

"Let's get started with it." She said and I grabbed her hand.

"No. I'll do it alone. Don't let me bother you with my problems." I said and she shaked her head.

"We are friends now and your problem is my problem. It's not your fault that the food was salty. Someone did it on purpose and I'm going to find out who." She said.

We grabbed buckets and went to a well a little bit far from where the drums were. I watched her throw in the bucket that a rope had been attached to. She pulled it back up in no time and poured the water into her bucket. In no time, her bucket was filled and she handed me the rope to fill mine too. I was scared as I didn't know how to go about it.

I held the rope but it was so hard for me to drag it back.

"You've never done this before?" She asked and I nodded.

"Can you teach me how to do this? I don't know how to go about it." I said and she eyed me.

"For real? Who are you? You must be a princess or something." She said and I shaked my head. I didn't know whether it was a good thing to reveal my identity or not.

"I'm just an ordinary girl," I said and she helped me fill my water.

"Really? It's strange. Alpha Blaze brought you here alive. He never allows anyone into our kingdom especially werewolves from Blood Moon He hates them." She informed and fear gripped me.

Does he hate people from the BloodMoon kingdom? What if he finds out I'm from Blood Moon kingdom and he kills me? I need to run away from here and go back home.

I carried the bucket and it was really heavy. Before I got to the drum, all the water in the bucket had already poured away. Addison poured hers while I had nothing to pour in.

"Really? You are no ordinary girl. You don't even have any more water in your bucket. What kind of girl doesn't know how to fetch water?" She asked and one of the king's guards passed by.

"Now I'm in trouble." She said and walked away.

Before I knew it. A big chair was put not far away from the drums and some guards stood by the chair. Alpha Ryker walked to the seat and sat down. A guard held an umbrella above his head.

"Alpha Blaze calls you." One of his guards announced and I rushed to where he was.

"What do you want me to do?" I asked.

"You made Martha my maid go against me today. Do you know the gravity of what you've just done?" He inquired.

"I'm sorry sir. I didn't mean to. Please don't punish her. Punish me instead." I begged and he eyed me.

"Just go back to what you're doing. Your presence irritates me." He said and I walked away.

I have to fetch this water on my own. He mustn't find out I'm a princess from Blood Moon kingdom He'd kill me.

***Blaze's POV***

I went to watch the strange girl perform her punishment after my guard reported that my maid Martha was helping her. At least my wolf would stop driving me crazy. Funny how I don't even know her name.

I sat down and watched her wince in pain as she carried the bucket. The injury from the lashes was still there. A part of me wanted to release her but a part of me wanted her to suffer more. That's just me. I'm evil. I'm ruthless and viscous just like everyone says.

Before she could reach the drum, all the content of the water had poured away. Apart from her audacious behaviour. She was weird.

"What kind of girl doesn't know how to fill buckets and drum? Is she an important person? Hope she is not a wolf?" I asked myself.

I asked my guard to call her and she came to my presence immediately.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Aurora." She answered. The name doesn't ring a bell. I know the name of the king of Blood Moon kingdom to be sky but I don't know of his daughter's name. I hope she's not from BloodMoon kingdom or I won't hesitate to behead her right here right now.

"Aurora what? And where are you from?" I asked.

"I'm Aurora Star. I'm a slave and I just ran away from my master." She said and I was relieved.

"Thank your stars you're not from Blood Moon. I would have killed you now." I said and I watched the horror in her face. "But something was fishy. A maid who doesn't know how to fetch water? Was it because of her wounds or was she a mistress?" I pondered.

"What? Go back to your work." I screamed at her and she ran off.

Honestly, I want the annoying and egoistic part of her. I hate the fact that she obeys all of my commands without disagreeing. When we had first met, I loved how she looked into my eyes. She was the first person who dared to call me a one_eyed man. I laughed at the memories.

"What's wrong with me?" I snapped out of my thoughts.

I looked up and saw her kneeling. The bucket had broken and she crying
