At that moment, the steam room was engulfed in noise, a mixture of excited chatter and cheers, as if they had just met their idol.
Well, in their eyes, Alex was no different from their idols. Ever since Alex stepped in, the whole steam room became chaotic and disorderly. Chaotic sounds and excited voices filled the air, satisfying their enthusiasm.
"AAAA. It's Alex, there he is!"
"Exactly, exactly! It's Alex. Him. Can't believe we ran into him here."
"Look, in real life, he's even more handsome than in pictures. Truly a rare gem!"
"Indeed, it was worth going out today."
"Alex! Alex!" – A female voice exclaimed, calling Alex.
Amidst the clamor, Emily found herself drawn deeper into silence, unaffected by the noisy sounds around her. Her body seemed frozen, still, and unmoving. She stared foolishly at Alex, fists clenched tightly, various hazy scenes jumping in her mind, each one vividly reminiscent as if they were no longer dreams but reality.
Suddenly, her limbs trembled, devoid of any strength, and she sat down on the ground, hands clutching her head. Her head shook continuously, and her mouth uttered words filled with fear. Her mind was in disarray:
"No! No! This is just an illusion, just an illusion! It can't be!"
Every action Emily had taken so far had not escaped Alex's notice. Seeing her sit down, he signaled his guards to dismiss the noisy crowd and clear the steam room.
After the guests had been chased out, he bent down, grabbing Emily's wrist, intending to make her stand.
Emily was pushed against him, feeling uneasy, wanting to push Alex away, but her strength couldn't resist him, and she was ultimately unable to escape.
Standing in front of Alex, Emily couldn't help but push him away, shouting at him, her eyes filled with unprecedented anger:
"I will sue you! I'll take you to court! Put you behind bars! You despicable, sick person!"
The guards saw him being pushed and immediately held Emily still, preventing her from moving. Alex then coldly snorted and signaled for them to release her, commanding them to clear the steam room today.
After the guests were driven out of the steam room, he stooped down, gripping Emily's wrist, intending to pull her up. Emily bumped into him, feeling uneasy, wanting to push his hand away, but her strength couldn't resist him, and in the end, she couldn't escape.
Standing in front of Alex, Emily couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement and pushed him, using all her courage to shout directly at Alex, her eyes still showing anger:
"I will sue you! I'll take you to court! Put you behind bars! You despicable, sick person!"
The guards saw him being pushed and immediately held Emily still, preventing her from moving. Alex then snorted and signaled for them to release her, glaring at her as he spoke:
"Stand up for me! Don't make me lose my patience, or it won't be as simple as last time. Stand up now!"
Emily was infuriated but couldn't do anything, just following Alex's instructions. She was still afraid of that situation, really afraid of this devilish man. The guards around him understood the situation and stepped outside, leaving only Emily and Alex standing there.
The tension engulfed the room again, actually, it was only Emily who was tense. Alex still looked calm, watching her closely. Suddenly, he broke the tense atmosphere:
"What have you been thinking these days? Will you tell me the whereabouts of the child, or are you still keeping the deceptive thoughts to yourself? I've told you, my patience has limits, don't provoke unnecessary consequences."
He kept mentioning the child's whereabouts, what was he talking about?
Others would think she was a real single mother. Living alone isn't that great, is it?
She had time to bring trouble upon herself and get into debt.
"Why are you so stubborn? Don't you understand human language? Now you won't find any children. If you knew I was crazy, why bother hiding the child? Why say I'm crazy? Are you eating what makes you more stubborn day by day? Or do you want these days to be your last carefree days? I should be the one driven crazy by you, I don't understand why you're hiding the child, am I going to snatch it away and not let you raise it?"
Their argument grew louder and seemed never-ending. Outside, the guards could hear it, but they didn't dare to intervene.
If it weren't for driving away the guests earlier, they didn't know how chaotic it would be in there now. If it weren't for the child, they didn't know what Alex would do to her.
As for Emily, she just wanted to disappear right away, not letting him drive her crazy.
