Chapter 4 4

In the Starlight pack, a man huge was facing the wall, his hands folded at his face he was walking side by side as if waiting for something or someone, and suddenly another man rushed in breathing heavily

"King Zeth!" The guy called breathing heavily

"Where is my son!!!" His voice echoed everywhere. He was the head of the Starlight pack, the strongest pack in the whole city. He was rude and would do anything to get what he wanted, just like his son.

"We were attacked on our way by an unknown, Prince Melvin told me to come contact the warriors here, so I rushed to come tell you first" Oliver, Melvin's friend explained

"Someone attacked him!!?" King Zeth half yelled

"Do you recognize who attacked him?" He asked

"They had the mask of the lowest-ranked pack, the one Prince Melvin defeated last" Oliver Answered

As they were still talking Melvin's mum, Queen Amora and his only sister Kiara, a Beta werewolf, came inside the throne hall.

"Father, you don't have to worry about Melvin this isn't the first time he is being attacked, and always returns fine, you don't need to bother yourself, Melvin is an Alpha and the strongest" Kiara tried to calm her father down, whose life had always been the good health of his son

"Kiara you know how dangerous the human world is, he isn't supposed to show that he is a werewolf, what if he mistakenly does so?" Queen Amora asked

"How about I go check on him, so you two would calm down, I would bring him back safe and sound" Kiara assured

"How do you know where he is?" King Zeth asked

"You were worried about your precious son that you have forgotten that I am a Beta werewolf, and I have a gift of Scenting other werewolves, I know Melvin's scent, so it would not be hard finding out where he is" Kiara explained

"It's getting dark already, can you be able to find him tonight?" King Zeth asked

"She can't do that, tonight the full moon is going to surface and it's dangerous for werewolves except for the Alpha who can endure the pain of the full moon" Oliver reminded

"You don't have to worry father, I will prepare things today, and I will go into the city tomorrow to go find Melvin"

"Oliver you are coming with me, so you could show me the exact place he was attacked" Kiara commanded and left her father and mother to keep wandering in their minds

"Do you think Melvin would be alright? the person who attacked him was huge and looked stronger" Oliver asked Kiara as they walked back to her room

"You all should stop worrying about Melvin, I can take care of myself if I am out, left alone that string I call a brother"

"Just go back to your room, early tomorrow we would go look for him"

"I would be waiting" Oliver answered before walking away

Ariana didn't feel like sleeping, her wolf form kept making noise inside of her, it felt to her that she was missing out on something and she needed to fulfill it.

"What's wrong with me? Humans live the best life ever, they don't need a mate and can live their life any way they want" She muttered, she stood up from the bed and headed down to her private garden. She was about to cross the room where the guy she had brought home was when she heard a clinging voice from there. She slowly walked to the door and opened it when she saw him up and standing looking up at the window.

"Are you trying to escape?" She asked immediately she entered the room fully

"Shouldn't you say thank you to the person who saved you from dying before escaping?" She cautioned. The room and a light coming from modern candles, so they could both see each other clearly

"I can't die and I don't need to escape I do my thing and am out of here" his deep voice echoed

"You teleport!! Seems you think highly of yourself, Are you too strong to do so" He was surprised she knew he could teleport and he turned to her

He had Golden light eyes, his hair was long reaching the top of his shoulder, " how can a man have long hair like this" his eyes were looking intensively at hers that was when she remembered "She wasn't wearing her mask"

"Does she know I am a werewolf? How did she find out?" He thought

"You don't need to look surprised, you are a werewolf, so am I and a fierce one too, am not nice to mingle with, just a little introduction of myself," Ariana said walking around the room

"Am not too strong to teleport that's why I didn't" he answered bravely

"I should have left you to die"

"I can't die!!" He half yelled

"An Alpha too, nice one, do you think am afraid of you?, this is my pack and they are no way of escaping, I just need you to answer some questions," Ariana said in a commanding tone

"And what if I don't want to answer your questions?"

"You can go out, it's the full moon and only Alpha can go out, am an alpha so are you, with my body strength I can endure it, but you can, so you don't have a choice," Ariana said with a smirk

"What is your question?"

"What is the name of your pack and its ranking?" She asked

"Why do I need to tell you about my back" he fired back

"Because I asked, and you need to tell me"

"I can't tell her about my pack, we are in conflict with many packs, and there may be one of them, am too weak to fight back," He thought

"I don't have a pack, I was born wondering, I don't have a sibling and I don't know anything about myself" he answered

She looked at him and saw no sign of nervousness

"He isn't of help, he knows nothing about himself," she thought and left his room

"I hope Kiara pick my scent and comes for me" he thought and lay back on the bed
