Chapter 5 Meet her now!

Pedro, who knows his boss and personal friend's mood well, soon arrived, and the thought of having to show him the headlines of today's main newspapers and gossip magazines sent a shiver down his spine.

On entering, he finds Carlos in his office and barely opens the door when Carlos starts talking:

"What do you know about the situation yesterday, firstly what did you find out about the men who were chasing the girl?"

"Well, they were men from Thomas Lebes, they weren't very willing to say what they wanted with the girl, but when they found out who was asking, they seemed to change their minds..." he says with a smug smile.

"Straight to the point Pedro," grumbles Carlos

The more he heard of the story, the angrier and sicker Carlos became. "Good, use this information to find out everything about her, I even want to know if she had her tonsils removed when she was a child, and then I want to know where she is, and I also want to know how much Thomas paid for her virginity, and Pedro I want that for now!"

Pedro takes out his cell phone without delay and starts making calls, while Carlos reflects on everything he knows so far.

Getting up, he decides to pay a visit to his friend and psychiatrist Lucas Hux, and before leaving he says:

"I'll be back in an hour, and I want everything I asked you for done." Pedro just nods without stopping talking on his cell phone.

A few moments later Carlos arrives at the office and looks at the receptionist, who nods and says that Lucas is alone and he can go in.

Carlos goes in and immediately starts walking around, while telling his friend what happened the night before.

"No, that won't work, you can even make one of your famous contracts, but you'll have to interact with her, go out, introduce her to people, have a relationship with her, that's the only way it'll work, or I guarantee that sooner or later you'll be in Tereza's hands."

Just hearing that name breaks something inside Carlos, and he knows that his friend is right, he needs the teddy bear.

Exactly an hour later, Carlos is back in his home office, and there is Pedro looking pleased, which shows that he must have completed his tasks.

"First tell me everything you've found out about her," says Carlos, sitting down in his chair.

Confused by his boss's reaction, Pedro says:

Pedro acts quickly and as he's leaving Carlos says:

"And Pedro, ask Mrs. Luiza for the bloodstained sheet she took from my bed this morning, and bring it too, we're going to need it."
