"It's nothing ma'am, I slipped "
"It looks like someone slapped you, Amelia" I replied and I was already getting upset.
"It's fine, ma'am. Please don't push it" she replied and left the room with my dirty clothes.
My Instincts told me Amelia is lying but I just let it go and started thinking about what I'd have to do today.
I decided I'll go visit the Bakery, and I wouldn't let anyone stop me.
I took my bath and dressed up. As I was doing little make up on my face, Amelia knocked and entered.
"Breakfast is ready ma'am"
"I'll be there soon" I replied and she decided to wait and take me to our personal dining.
There I met Kyle already eating and Jake was behind him and they were discussing some things. I joined the table and sat opposite him.
"Good morning Jake" I greeted and Jake replied smiling at me.
I started eating my food too and they already stopped their discussion.
"So, I want to visit my bakery today. I know it means nothing telling you but just to let the security know and my let me out"
"You can't leave the house..." Kyle started but I replied almost immediately "I'm not a prisoner "
" Yet, you can't leave yet!" He completed it.
"I will leave today!" I replied in a stern voice.
"Don't you dare disobey my orders again, when you did yesterday, your maid had to suffer for it" he replied back
I stared wide eyed as I realised what he meant.
"you mean you hit Amelia?"
"So?" He replied and I stared at him unbelievably, I looked at Jake and he just looked away. I'm not a violent woman but out of anger I threw the saucer in my front right at his face and everyone present gasped.
"You mean you raised up your hand to hit a Lady, you are nothing but a monster " I yelled at him and he just sat there like his brain hadn't processed what I did. Jake rushed at him and started asking if he was fine.
"If you dare to touch anyone else again, I swear you'll regret it" I said and left the dining room. Of course I didn't know how he would regret it but I was just frustrated.
I noticed Amelia running behind me as I marched furiously outside to the garage. Luckily I didn't meet any family members on my way.
I got to the garage and I saw lots of cars, all black and beside each car was a man, all dressed in black suit. I looked very well to pick and, I decided to pick the one that looked less intimidating and was the only one that doesn't have shades on. I went to his car and entered.
He raised a brow at Amelia "she's Mr Kyle's wife" Amelia told him.
"I know but I didn't receive any permission to drive out or anything" the guy replied to Amelia refusing to move.
"Get in the car and let go!" I angrily yelled from inside the car and he hurriedly hopped into the driver seat and Amelia entered too. I honestly was starting to get irritated by all the order and permission trash.
"I'm Sorry ma'am, my name's Zach" he said as he started the car.
"It's fine, let's just go"
And we left immediately but I still noticed both Zach and Amelia weren't still settled.
We got to the bakery and it had already started bustling with early morning coffee customers. I told Zach and Amelia to stay in the car and I went inside. One of our apprentices saw me and immediately ran to hug me shouting happily.
"Hey, keep it down " I told her as most customers turned to look at us. I hugged her back and we were both laughing.
Some people were whispering, maybe they recognized me from the news or something. Then Tyler showed from the back kitchen and he immediately ran to me and hugged me, lifting me up from the ground.
"Oh my God Ashley, I've missed you so much"
"I know, I've missed you too" I dragged Tyler to the back kitchen and let him fill me in on the things that had happened while I was away.
"Just two days" I said after he was done. "Well,I really don't know where my life is headed from this point now, so I'll just try my best to come visit once in a while" I told Tyler after I changed and started helping them. I stayed in the Bakery until evening time.
We drove back home and I retired to my room straight, I showered and changed into something simple. Then Amelia came in
"Mr Derek, he said he has a coffee date with you" She told me as soon as she entered.
"Yh that's true, I almost forgot" I actually have completely forgotten about Derek.
"Well, tell him I'm ready," I replied to Amelia.
"Ok, he's already waiting in the west wing Balcony, I'll take you there"
I followed Amelia to the west wing which I guess belongs to Derek only. The balcony was already set with a table and two seats only. Desert and wine was set on it. Derek was standing backing the door and as I entered, Amelia left.
"Is this what you call a coffee date?" I said, walking over to his side. He chuckled and faced me. "I wasn't sure if you would take coffee by this time, so I thought I should be ok with this too, right?"
"Of course, I'm fine," I replied back and smiled. He helped me to my chair and I sat.
"I hope this doesn't look too much, for a married woman like you" Derek said as he sat down opposite me and smirked at me.
