Chapter 8 Get out of my office.

Meyer's POV

"Christian Moore?" She repeated with her eyes almost popping out of their sockets.

I nodded with regret.

"My life is ruined, Miley. I am screwed. I just lost my mother just a month ago and I am already pregnant? What else am I going to do with my life?" I asked and broke down in more tears.

Then she moved closer to me and pulled me into a hug. I cried on her shoulder. After some seconds, she pulled away from me.

"There is still a solution to this, Meyer."

"What is the solution?" I asked.

"You have to let him know that you are pregnant with his child."

"What?"

Three days later, I was discharged from the hospital and I was preparing to go to Christian to make him aware that I was pregnant with his child.

"Are you sure about this, Miley?"

"What if..."

"There are no what ifs. He is the one responsible for it. It's fair he knows about it."

I sighed and nodded. Then I pulled her into a hug.

"What would I do without you, Miley?"

"I don't see you as my friend again, Meyer. We have been together for so long. I see you as my blood. My sister."

I hugged her more and smiled tears.

At this point, I think my eyes are swollen from crying.

I went out of the house and boarded a taxi down to his company. It was a bit far away from where I live. When I got there, I stepped out of the taxi and paid the fare. Then I turned and looked up at the huge, gigantic building in front of me. I proceeded to enter. I did and saw different people in their corporate dresses.

I saw a lady focused on the computer in front of her as she was typing. I guessed she was the receptionist and I approached her.

"Good morning ma, am." She greeted me with a smile on her face.

"Good morning." I mustered.

"I am here to see Mr. Christian Moore."

"Do you have an appointment with him?" She asked.

"Uh...yes, I do." I lied.

Miley told me they wouldn't allow me in to see him if I said I didn't have an appointment with him. Then she typed on her computer for a while and looked up at me.

"You can see him now. His office is on the third floor." She said and I nodded.

"Thank you," I said and walked to the elevator. I pressed the button and it opened. I stepped in and it closed. I pressed the number three button.

I stayed for a while and soon it opened.

Then I walked out of it and made my way down to his office. I got to the entrance and knocked.

"Come in." said the thick, deep voice.

Then I went in. I took in the view of the office before turning to him.

I stood in front of him with me fidgeting and fiddling with my fingers. He raised his head and our eyes once again after that night.

"Yes, what do you need? Who are you?"

So he doesn't even remember me? Oh, yes, he can't. I am not that important to him.

"How may I help you?" He repeated.

"I...I am the one from that night." I stuttered lowering my eyes.

"So?" His voice came up.

So?

"You remember me?"

"Yes and what do you want? Wasn't the money enough?"

Ouch! I felt hurt. Great. He must think of me as nothing but a poor, useless, and worthless stripper with no ounce of dignity. Then I cleared my throat. Maybe I could correct the mentality he has towards me.

"I am not a stripper. I did that thing with you that night because I needed money."

Then he dropped his ball pen and rested his back on the chair as he stared at me. With his glares, I felt like the ground should open up and swallow me.

"Were you here to explain this to me, miss? And let me remind you that the moment I stepped out of the hotel room that morning, all things had ended."

"I understand." I sniffed.

"But I am not here because of that. I am here because of another thing."

"What is it? Is it business?"

"All you care is about money and business right?"I asked rolling my eyes at him.

"Just go straight to the point." He said swiftly.

"Fine. I am pregnant." I dropped the bombshell but surprisingly this man doesn't even look frightened or shocked.

He wasn't even fazed.

"So? How is that my concern?" He asked.

My heart skipped. I frowned.

"How is it your concern?" I asked him not believing my ears.

"Because you are the one responsible for it. You are the father."

For some seconds, he didn't say anything.

"Get out!" I heard.

I snapped my face up at him. "what?"

"You heard what I said. I don't like repeating myself. Get out!" He said.

I smiled nervously.

"Right, I will. I don't intend on keeping the baby. I just thought that it was fair to let you know. I am sorry for barging in here unannounced." I said and turned to leave.

I walked out and slammed the door. I don't care about it. I couldn't even cry. It was my burden to carry. Then I didn't bother going back home. I went straight back to the hospital in the hope of aborting the baby.

"I am sorry, Miss. Gomez but aborting the baby isn't the best option. It's dangerous. It might take your life if that is done."

"What? So you mean it can't be terminated?"

"Yes, Miss Gomes."

I nodded.

"Thank you, doctor. Thank you."

I said and walked out in tears. It was then I ran into Miley. What was she doing here? How did she know that I was here?

"I followed you here. I won't allow you to abort that baby. It's dangerous. It's very dangerous." Miley said.

"The doctor said I would die if I tried it. I don't want to die, Miley. I don't want to die." I said in fear.

"That's why you need to keep the baby." She said and hugged me.
