Chapter 3 Clairvoyance pt 2

Amber

"I might have found someone, "Leo said, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "There's a renowned mystic rumoured to have knowledge about rare supernatural gifts. She lives in the neighbouring village. Her name's Allegra." Leo and I ventured through the narrow path leading to the village. I glanced at Leo, a look of optimism in my eyes. "Leo, do you really think she can help me?" He nodded, "I've heard tales about her, Amber. People say she has knowledge that surpasses most sorceresses in these lands. She'll find a way, I'm sure of it." We arrived at a little home. Leo hesitated a little before knocking on the wooden door. His hands squeezed mine gently as we awaited a response. A gentle voice floated from within, "come in, my children." Allegra welcomed us with a knowing smile, her eyes wise and penetrating. "I perceive you seek answers." My pulse quickened, a mixture of nervousness and anticipation rising within me. "Yes, I've been seeing things." "Ah! Clairvoyance, Come sit." I sat down cautiously as Allegra gently took my hand and paused for a moment. "Child, your energy speaks volumes. You possess a rare gift, one that's both a blessing and a challenge." "Can you help me, Allegra?" I asked, my voice laced with a glimmer of hope. Allegra closed her eyes, in an attempt to delve into the essence of my being, seeking the root of my clairvoyant abilities. Her brow furrowed slightly, indicating a deep concentration. My gaze shifted to Leo, unsure of what was happening. "Your gift is tied to your essence, Amber. It is intertwined with who you are. To suppress it would be to suppress a part of yourself," Allegra murmured, her voice carrying the weight of ancient wisdom. "But I can't control it, it's becoming more overwhelming," I confessed, my voice tinged with frustration. "Control comes with understanding," Allegra replied, her eyes meeting mine. "You must learn to embrace this gift and understand its mysteries. Leo's concern etched deeper lines on his forehead. "Is there nothing else that can be done? Allegra shook her head gently. " I cannot rid you of this gift, for it is a part of your destiny. But I can guide you, show you the path to understanding and harnessing its power." I sighed, a feeling of disappointment and acceptance settling within me as she continued. "Harnessing your clairvoyance requires focus, intent, and control. With practice, you can tap into its potential." "But, how do I practise and also make use of it?" "Spend time with yourself, listen to your thoughts and always meditate. It sounds like a mere thing but it is very crucial. Your visions carry insight that can aid others. Consider offering your guidance for a fee. People often seek answers for clarity in their lives." My brows furrowed, contemplative. "You mean... I could use my abilities to help others and also earn?" Allegra nodded. "Yes, you can. Charge for your services, but use your gift responsibly. Your visions are valuable, don't underestimate their worth." **** I had followed Allegra's advice on utilizing my power. Leo and my dad helped me set up a little space for people to have access to me in case they needed my help. I had noticeable changes, the visions had reduced but I still feel like I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. It was exhausting. I had not gone back to the sea since the incident. I missed it, it was one of my favourite places. I strongly believed its serenity would provide solace. **** I stood at the shore, gazing at the calm horizon, a familiar presence approached. My heart skipped a beat as I recognized Jackson standing before me. "Amber," Jackson spoke softly, his eyes reflecting a blend of emotions; recognition, longing, and something deeper. "Jackson," I responded, surprised and unsure of what to say next. We stood still as the world around us twirled, flashes of our previous encounter fresh in my memory. An unspoken connection lingered in the air, drawing us closer. "I've missed you," Jackson confessed, his eyes never leaving mine. I felt a rush of emotions flood through me, tinged with uncertainty and a yearning I couldn't explain. "I've missed you too, Jackson." "You promised to come but didn't." "I'm sorry, it's not like I wanted to stay away, it's just...a lot has happened." "Are you okay? Do you want to talk about it?" I shook my head, not prepared to talk about everything that had happened. "I'll tell you about it later, for now, I just want to stay here and enjoy the moment." He nodded in understanding. "You look very beautiful." He said staring into my eyes, his gaze flickering to my lips. We locked eyes for what felt like ages, I felt the world around me come to a halt when I saw him tilt his head, heavy emotions danced in his eyes as he brought his lips closer to mine. My eyes fluttered close, when he placed his lips on mine softly, our lips met tentatively at first, then they became more comfortable. As Jackson's lips brushed against mine, my sense momentarily surrendered to the moment. His touch was tender, filled with an unspoken desire, It was a kiss of comfort, of longing, of friendliness. His touch was tender, filled with an unspoken desire. I wasn't sure when it changed. But it became more intense. Our breaths mingled as we kissed, a whirlwind of emotions danced through the connection we shared. I felt a surge of comfort, a rush of yearning that had lain dormant within me. The world seemed to fade away, leaving only the warmth of his embrace and the intensity of our closeness. But then, a vision flashed before my eyes – a glimpse of Jackson transforming into his werewolf form. In a sudden surge of panic, I pulled back, my eyes wide with disbelief and fear. Jackson, perplexed by my sudden reaction, reached out to me, concerned etched on his features. "What's wrong?" His voice was laced with worry and confusion. But I was too stunned to speak, my heart pounding erratically. I struggled to compose myself to explain the chaos that had unfolded within my mind. But as the memory of my clairvoyant vision lingered, I knew I had to flee. "I... I can't," Amber stammered, her voice quivering with unease. Before Jackson could comprehend my turmoil, I turned on my heels and bolted away from the sea, from Jackson, from the overwhelming revelations that had shattered my sense of reality. My mind raced with conflicting emotions, my breaths coming in short, erratic gasps as I sprinted away, leaving Jackson behind, bewildered and disheartened.
