Chapter 7 Molly's POV

Molly's POV

Rosa walked into the kitchen. It was already after 12:00 noon. All she arranged to prepare dinner for Mr. Ronnie. She was in a good mood and talked to herself.

On the other hand, I still had a mystery to be solved, and it all pointed to two person.

Kate bought groceries in the morning, so she can easily add salt to a bottle of milk.

And it may be Chloe, she said she wouldn't let me go easily.

But Chloe had been gone before Kate returned from the supermarket with milk. So it must be Kate.

From now on, I must taste his coffee before serving it.

I left the kitchen and found Kate in the cleaning room where the cleaning supplies were stored. I closed the door loudly behind me and made her jump up.

"Damn it, Molly! What are you doing here?"

"Speaking of my job, I don't know how to play. Mr. Ronnie hired me to make coffee and help with cleaning. What the hell is wrong with you?"

"What are you talking about? Are you drunk?"

"Admit it, you put salt in the milk I use to make coffee!"

She clutched her belly and laughed.

"You are the incredible, Molly; I can't believe you will blame me for your own mistakes. " She passed me and left.

I overturned the two buckets angrily, but after I realized that I shouldn't vent my anger on the innocent bucket of Mr. Ronnie, I put them back.

I told Rosa about the coffee. She was in charge of the kitchen, and the milk was in the kitchen.

"Oh, your poor dear, I'm sorry to hear that."

"I just don't understand why Kate would do something like that."

"I guess she is just jealous of you."

"Mr. Ronnie should know about this."

"He will fire her."

"He could have fired me. I brought him a cup of salty coffee!"

"Please calm down. Why don't you taste the coffee first?"

"Because I know what I am doing. I have been making coffee in the cafe for a long time. I don't need to taste it to know that it is perfect."

"I understand, but I believe he will have a meeting with us when he gets home. I just hope no one loses his job."

He went home in a rage. He slammed the door behind him, and we heard his footsteps upstairs. We panicked. The phone was ringing. He wanted me to go upstairs soon. Fear raged all over me, and I turned upstairs.

He cursed in a low voice in the bedroom and threw his clothes all over the floor. "Have the sheets changed?"

"Yes, sir."

"Has the room been cleaned?"

"Yes, sir."

"Who did it?"

"I did it, sir."

"Take my coffee."

"Yes, sir."

I quickly went downstairs to the kitchen to prepare his coffee. I was about to take it upstairs to him, but when I turned around, I found him standing behind me. He took the cup from my little hand and took a sip. I pray that this is what he likes; my job is here. There was a faint smile on his lips, but it disappeared quickly.

"Why is there salt in my coffee this morning?"

"Sir, I..." I started.

"I'm not talking to you, Molly!"

I closed my mouth.

Rosa moved back, his eyes fixed on her coldly. "Mr. Ronnie." She began to be cautious. "Mr. Ronnie, to be honest, I don't know."

I made a wrong answer.

"It may be poisoned. I may be dead now, and your answer is,'You don't know'?"He paused, took another sip of coffee, and then continued, "Then you are taking charging of my kitchen?"

Oh god, no, please, no, Rosa. That poor woman would not do such a thing. This was did by Kate.

I couldn't let Miss Rosa fall because of what she didn't do. "Sir, it's Kate." I blurted out. "She went shopping yesterday; she poured salt into the milk I used to make coffee, so I would be fired."

His fingers passed through the hair.

"Are you the judge of my house, Molly? Didn't I just say that I didn't talk to you? You should shut up!"?

He was close to my face; his coffee-filled breath hit me hard; I moved back.

"Pack your things." He said calmly.

Oh no! Tears flowed down my face. I was fired again because I couldn't control my mouth and temper.

I walked to the kitchen door, but he grabbed my shoulder and blocked my way. "Molly, where are you going?"

"Pack my things." I replied, wiping my eyes.

"No, woman, I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to Rosa."?

She left without a word, and to my surprise, she left in a pleasant way. Didn't she know that she was just fired?

I was very angry. She didn't do anything, how could he let her go? She knew the CCTV; she would not take the risk. It's Kate.

Kate stood there with a big smile on her face.

"Mr. Ronnie, you are mistaken." I murmured, but he had left the kitchen.

"Complete one." Kate smiled as he walked to the restaurant with his food.

I ran to the servant's house and said goodbye to Rosa. She served him and his parents for ten years. As far as I know, she also raised him. She would never do anything to hurt him.

"Miss Rosa, please, if you are innocent, you can't just walk away like this. I believe Kate did."

"Molly, it's okay, not what it seems."

"But you have been here for ten years!" I held her shoulders.

"I know, I like every moment of it."

"Kate won't get away by chance."

"Molly, please, do what you are hired to do and don't worry about anything."

She gave me a warm hug and then left. Part of me went with her. She has always been a good lady, always happy and sweet.

Mr. Ronnie was a bastard.
