Chapter 4 My way of asking

(NEXT DAY.. BRILLIANT HIGH)

The students had been waiting for the teacher appointed for over 10 minutes.

"What's taking the teacher so long?" Jennifer sighed beside Ethan.

Liam appeared and sit at his place.

"Hey what took you so long?" Ethan asked Liam.

"Oh it's nothing" Liam replied looking elsewhere. He had been avoid Mrs Charlotte. He was almost caught today. Why Is that teacher crazy over him?

"You okay Jennie?" Ethan asked Jennifer whose face look a bit tired.

"Yeah I'm fine, I got home late last night" She replied.

Ethan raised his hand and touched her hair, tucking it behind her ear. "Sorry, you could have skipped school today"

Jennifer looked away in order not to let Ethan see her blushed cheek.

Ethan smiled seeing her reaction and return his gaze to Annabelle. Daniel seems to be showing her something in a paper. he got curious.

Annabelle stared at the picture before her. It's a picture of woman holding a five years old girl and also, she was carrying a baby with a teddy bear in her right hand.

"I never knew you like dark stuff. The woman in the picture was killed mysteriously and the daughters was never found up till today" Daniel said.

Annabelle grab her bag and then pull out a teddy bear which look exactly like the one on the paper. She found this toy in an hidden corner of her room. She wanted to throw it away but couldn't.

Daniel frowned seeing the toy. Is she the girl in the picture?

"Hey freak, I can't believe you bought a toy to school. What are you? A year old kid?" Patricia exclaimed and the class laughed lightly.

The teacher they had been waiting for finally walked in and they all turn quiet.

"Sorry about Patricia, she's always like that" Daniel said beside her.

"I guess her life span isn't long after all" she muttered causing Daniel to frowned. She turn her head towards Daniel. "Is there anyway to find out what happened to this woman?" She asked.

"Well you can browse it but my phone is down at the moment. You can ask any other person for help. Computer would be faster" He replied.

"You are the only sensible person here, others are just imatured" She said lowly.

"Uh.. right" Daniel muttered awkwardly.

At lunch, Annabelle stared at Ethan from a distance. Should she ask him or help? Daniel had suggested her to ask him for help.

She watch Patricia walked towards Ethan who was busy eating.

"Hey Ethan" She smiled keeping her both hands behind her back.

"What do you want?" He asked flatly.

"Well I'm sorry for being someone so rude, I just want to ask if we can start all over.."

"Hey weirdo" A voice interrupted them. They look back just to see Annabelle walking towards them. Ethan didn't have the chance to talk to her today.

"Weirdo? Can you at least be respec..."

"I wasn't talking to you, so scram" Annabelle cut in the face Ethan. "Get up, I need to talk to you"

"Scram? Who do you think you are?" Patricia asked coming before her.

"Move" she demanded.

"Tssk, and what made you think I would?" She asked.

"Cus you are going to regret it. I don't wanna hurt you" Annabelle said lightly.

"Look who's talking, I'm more built than you. You think you can hurt me?" Patricia scoffed.

"Size doesn't matter.. A rat can kill an elephant, if it has the determination to do so. Move, I won't ask again" Annabelle said, this time, her eyes met with Patricia.

Patricia could feel the danger but she ignored it. She made to grab her shoulder but Annabelle's grab her wrist and twist it. Not enough to break it but enough to give her pain.

"Don't test me, the last person who did so. lost all ten fingers" Annabelle said pushing her away. Patricia staggered, her back hit the table behind her.

Annabelle turn back to Ethan. Patricia grab a plate on the table and walk towards Annabelle. Ethan saw this and his eyes widened.

"Bitch!" She yelled trying to hit her with the plate but Annabelle dodge. She grab Patricia by her head and collide her kneecap to her face causing her nose to bleed.

"Fuck you're dead" Patricia yelled, her minions stood up with a cold look.

The food Vendor called the school authority, knowing a fight will break soon.

"Oh shit" Liam muttered.

"Annabelle" Ethan went to grab her hand "Let's get of here, you'll get hurt"

She jerk her arm away from him. "I told you not to touch me" she muttered.

Patricia's minions surrounded Annabelle. "You messed with the wrong person sweethearts" Patricia said as seven of her minions surrounded Annabelle.

Oh no! The new girl is definitely going to get hurt so bad...

Does she know who she is messing with?...

Patricia won't go easy on her...

Ethan made to butt in but then remember Annabelle not appreciating him when he helped her last time, so he retreated and decided to watch what she is going to do.

Patricia's minions came at Annabelle at once. The first one was unlucky cus Annabelle grab a plate of pasta and gummed it her face Before hitting her lower leg bring her down. She grab two of them behind her and hit their head together.

One of them broke glass cup on her head. Annabelle didn't flinched. Instead, she smirked before turning her head to the one who hit her.

The girl shrink in fear by her look. She made to retreat but Annabelle drag her back. She place her on the table and shove a burger on her mouth enough to choke her.

She was done kicking their ass after 15 seconds.

Everyone was shock by her move. Even with her tiny body she was able bring down seven bullies.

"You all are weak, what a boring fight" Annabelle muttered staring at the girls on the floor. Her gaze finally move to Patricia.

Patricia quickly raised her hands in surrender knowing she would lose. She walked backward. "I'll see you again freak" she said leaving.

Ethan jaw was practically on the floor. What the hell?

His mind was still processing what just happened when Annabelle held his hand and drag him out of the cafe.

Other students could only stare.

Getting to a quiet corner, Annabelle let go of Ethan. He frowned staring at her.

"Uhm, you didn't bring me here to kick my ass.. right?" He asked.

"No, I just need your help"

"You always give me a cold shoulder and now you need my help, sorry but no" Ethan said and made to leave but Annabelle held him back.

"That wasn't a request" She said.

"I don't like been touched" He looked down at her hand and then removed it. "You need to learn how to ask" He turn to leave again.

In the next moment, Ethan found himself pinned against the wall, with his hand behind him. Damn!.. she is strong!

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" He managed to speak even with his head pinned to the wall.

"This is my way of asking" She said.

"You know I'm quite famous in this school right? Those girls drooling over me won't take it lightly with you"

"I'd love to teach them how to think of their future instead of drooling over a boy like you" Annabelle replied still holding him in place.

"This is bully, I'm reporting you to the higher authoriti... Ahh" He groaned when the girl push his head harder.

"Shit, fine!! I'll help you"

Immediately those words left his lips, Annabelle released him instantly. Ethan hissed and turn to her. "Seriously that is no way of asking!" He exhaled trying to massage his arm.

"I need to find out about an incident that happened years ago. I heard you are good at this"

"What incident"

"None of your business, all I need is your computer" She said.

"I can't bring that to school, it's not permitted" Ethan said. This is actually the longest conversation he had ever had with her.

"We are not doing here in school"

Ethan frowned. "Where then?"

"Your home.. every midnights"

Ethan eyes widened.

"What!!!"
