Chapter 5 Married

Seeing the two of them leave in front of them without any special explanation, Maverick could only punch a hole on the wall to show how angry he was at the moment.

"I didn't expect my sister to already have a man. She always acted all faithful to you!" Lily looked at the door with a scornful and jealous smile on her face.

That man that just came in looks 100 times better than Maverick.

"Shut up! It's all because of you!" Maverick glared at her angrily.

"No! Instead you should be thankful. If not for me, how will you know that my beloved sister is actually cheating on you" Lily glanced at him one last time and slowly walked out of the room leaving Maverick behind.

Just as she left, A waitress came into the room, "Mr. Should I bring in the special menu?" The waitress asked but only met Maverick's cold eyes.

In the corridor, Ottiline and Blade Steele stood facing each other.

"Mr. Blade, I'm glad that you were able to work on that case with me but don't you think that you are going too far by involving yourself in my personal life!" Ottiline crossed her arms around her chest.

"Who said that I'm interfering in your personal affairs?" Mr. Blade wasn't moved by her anger and instead asked her indifferently.

"Then what was the meaning of what you did inside that room?!"

"What a husband will do for his wife" He replied indifferently.

"What?!" Ottiline opened her mouth slightly in shock at his answer.

"Did you drink something?" She asked him even though he didn't reek of alcohol or even hard drugs.

His eyes were clear and normal, It's like he knew exactly what he was talking about.

"You know better than me if I drank. Or do you want to see the marriage certificate before you can believe it?" He asked her in return.

"Ok! Please stop it! Thank you for your help earlier today and thank you for your help just now. I'm indeed grateful" She stared at him directly with a flat tone.

"You don't believe me?" Steele asked her.

"No. Maybe you are just crazy"

"There are a lot of things that you don't know in this world, Detective!"

"Is it because of what happened in the marriage Bureau? The marriage obviously did not go on" Ottiline looked him up and down and asked suspiciously.

"Once again, There are a lot of things that you are blind to, Detective" After speaking Mr. Blade Steele glanced at her one last time before leaving.

"What was that?" Ottiline asked confused, "What marriage? If I got married to someone, won't I know about it?" She muttered and turned away to leave the bar.

Even the anger of betrayal was no longer there, she could only turn around and leave the place since there is no reason to be here again.

Getting back Home, Ottiline packed the car and looked inside only to see that the lights were still on.

"Is surprising that Clara hasn't slept at this time." She muttered and walked in.

But just as she opened the door, The sight that greeted her made her stand there in shock without knowing where to put her face.

"Babe!" Clara noticed her and jumped off the man's body immediately.

"Did I interrupt something?" She asked.

"I thought you were not coming back tonight?" Clara asked but Ottiline shook her head and glanced at the man.

For some reason, she felt that he looked familiar but he can't just remember where he last saw her.

"Things changed, and your bedroom is not far from here. Don't worry, I won't interrupt you guys from making out. And also don't forget the most important thing" Ottiline glanced at them one last time before heading to her room.

"See, I told you she will be cool about it" Clark smiled at Clara who only glared at him in return.

"You should start leaving" Clara stood up from the sofa and straightened her dress while looking towards Ottiline's room in a hurry.

"What? But she was ok with it." Clark looked up at her.

"You don't know anything. Just leave! I will call you later" After giving him an eviction order, without waiting for him to leave, Clara hurried over to Ottiline's room.

"Babe" Clara walked into the room and saw her lying on the bed listlessly.

"Is your guest gone?" Ottiline looked over and asked.

"He can find his way out. Let's talk about you first. Did something happen?" Clara asked.

"Yes. Maverick cheated" Ottiline sat up and replied as if it's nothing.

"Oh, That's what happen..." Pausing on her words she turned sharply to look at Ottiline after realizing what she just said.

"What?!" She exclaimed

Clark, who was still down there, heard the scream and trembled slightly, "I better hurry and leave.

"He cheated! On your anniversary?!"

"It's been a while and I just didn't notice" Ottiline stood up and took at the makeup wiper that lay at the side.

"With whom did he cheat with?" Clara asked with gritted teeth. One could see the anger burning in her eyes.

"Lily!"

"Shit!" Clara muttered, seemingly not surprised.

"You seem to have already guessed it" Ottiline looked at her.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I saw them at the mall the other day, Maverick told me they clashed so I didn't think much about it. Only if I realized what was going on!" Clara muttered with a bit of self blame.

"It happened. Plus all the crazy things" Ottiline muttered thinking of the words of Mr. Blade.

"If you want to cry, just cry" Catherine looked worried.

"A lot of things happen. It hurts but it isn't enough for my tears"

"You are right. It's not worth your tears at all. Clark has several good friends, I can introduce you to them."

Just as Ottiline wanted to reply, her phone rang, cutting off the conversation.

"Who is that?" Clara asked, looking over.

"I think the news reached them already" Ottiline looked at the caller and picked up.

"What's the matter?" She asked plainly without an extra emotion.

"Is that how you talk to your father?!" The other party who is her Father, Mr. Levine growled.

"If you don't have anything to say, I will just hang up"

"I heard you and Maverick broke up" Mr. Levine said immediately.

"Well, Thanks to your daughter"

"Since you guys are no longer together, you can put your marriage on the agenda. There is someone you should meet" Mr. Levine ignored her words and went straight to the point.

"So fast to sell your daughter?!"

"You know better than to disobey me. Your grandparents can't protect that Bastard forever!"
