Chapter 1 MEMORIES

"I don't understand why you are angry".

Beauty said slowly,a bit embarrassed.

"If you aren't so fat! Maybe the ring would have been your size!"

That was the furious voice of her boyfriend Steven.

Beauty felt her legs weak and her heart pounding,as she tried to conceal her tears.

Every head in the shop turned towards them and all eyes were watching them as the scene was successfully established like Steven had wanted.

"We have larger sizes for her to try sir".

The jewelry store owner said to him politely.

Feeling sad for the poor girl, she had to come to the rescue.

"My fiance may be hot tempered but I am sure he does love me...as much as I love him but..."

Beauty paused..

This wasn't the first day she's having this conversation with herself.

"It doesn't matter what size you have,it won't suck those fats away!"

"Baby can we try another one please"

Beauty managed to say that with a smile on her face.

"Are you deaf!"

He yelled so loud that Beauty lost her power to hold back, her tears streamed successfully down her cheeks.

"I am so sorry Steven,I promise to go on a strict diet again".

She sobbed.

The jewelry store owner was left in the awkward situation unsure how to convince the couple to buy the ring.

It was supposed to be her engagement ring,since Steven didn't know her size so he asked the big question before they set out to get the ring.

"Please Steven".

She kept crying.

The people watching started murmuring to one another.

"Another day of making people think I am a monster in public, good job Beauty! I am done"He snapped and walked out coldly.

"Steven!"

"Steven please".

He didn't look back or act like he knew what name that is.

The door closed and another customer entered the room.

Beauty stood there,her head down crying bitterly, she opened her eyes to see her cold feet ... .a big size feet. Not the feet, a feminine lady should have.

She felt her blood drained and her skin turned pale at that instant.

"Don't worry,he will change his mind,that I am sure of".

The jewelry woman consoled her.

Beauty looked up embarrassed knowing that her eyes are now on her after that scene.

She pressed her lips and nodded.

Slowly like a dying rat, she walked out of the jewelry shop,her steps unsteady and her vision blurry.

She felt heart pounding aggressively and her palms sweaty.

"He isn't fed up with the ring not fitting, he is fed up with me,just like Tim,like Nathan,and now Steven, they all dumped me with any slightest chance".

She suddenly felt a drop from my left eye and dried it off immediately.

"It's not the first time to get used to this already,fat is ugly..I am fat..beauty is privilege and you are the opposite of your name,you are ugly...get used to...."

Starled, she looked up and saw a vehicle driving towards her, she gasped out loud. Someone grabbed her by the hand and pulled her back roughly.

"Hey!Watch it you fat pig! The light is still red!"

The man who saved her snapped.

Beauty apologized to him but the man cared less about her apology

She panted heavily,still unsure what just happened.

It started raining heavily ,the light turned green and she was almost pushed down by the crowd running towards a shelter and running from the rain.

She was the only one relaxed under the rain, and didn't mind getting wet from the rain,its the least of her problems now.

She had the flashback of Tim,the first man to confess to her

He was her first love, and he loved her too...maybe..

After our first night together,he made known his intentions to her.

Beauty thought she was gonna die back then.

"It's my first time".

She had whispered to Tim who had laid down exhausted,sweats dripping down his neck,her nervous hand twisting the duvet ,cheeks burning with embarrassment and shyness.

"I can see that,"Tim sneered.

Beauty expected more than that reply,but she shouldn't make a deal out of it,she thought and smiled back at him trying to hide her disappointment.

"I'm glad it's you".

She said huskily, blushing.

After a few minutes of silence, Tim stood up from the bed.

"I am done".

"Huh..".

She chuckled rather confused.

Beauty thought maybe she heard him wrong, or maybe he was pulling her leg, her brain was unable to process the reason behind that utterance.

"I only dated you because I wanted to know how it feels like being with a plus size".

"Tim what are you saying.."she asked softly, more confused.

"Do you think I will ever walk hand in hand with a girl three times my size?"

That statement got her speechless for a second.

"Tim! What the hell are you saying to me?"

She sobbed loudly.

"Look shit happens sometimes, I had to go, clean up the red stains before leaving".

He dropped some bills on the bed and started dressing up.

"Tim....,don't treat me like a whore Tim,it's my first time".

"Get over it,not like I forced you to give me your virginity".

He snarled.

Beauty's heart pounding,and her tears flow endlessly.

He left and slammed the door after him.

Beauty lost words, she couldn't even think straight or say anything at that moment.

She didn't even cry out loud either and had no idea if I could still breathe anymore.

She loved Tim so much that it hurts alot ..... well you know ,a first love.

Beauty was only 16 when she got dumped by Tim, after confessing to her parents,they said she was going to heal and find someone better.

Beauty tried to forget Tim,but it wasn't so easy. However, 2 years later, she met Nathan at senior high school.

He made her believe in love again, calling her beautiful, thick and sexy.

He even flaunted her in front of his friends. Something Tim said he would never do.

Beauty was happy,very happy, finally found love ,someone to love her genuinely.

Beauty was visibly glowing and happy, she went to gym and started dieting at a young age but unknown to her, she was only just a mere object of satisfaction.

That particular day she had walked into her boyfriend's house ,a surprise visit only to find him in bed with some girl.

Nathan didn't even flinch or apologize, even ran after her,he ignored her presence and led the girl on.

Beauty left the place shattered after some few days of not calling each other, she decided to go patch things up with him.

She didn't tell her parents about another love story crasher but kept it to herself.

Getting to the door of Nathan's house, she

overheard and heard horrible things,Nathan spilled out to his friends about her.

She was called fat and senseless by the same man who called her beautiful and bold.

He went on and bragged on how she can't do without him because she lacked love and dying for some love and affection due to her insecurities.

"She's sick of being alone, man the bitch got me and can't afford losing me".

Nathan said with air full of pride.

His friends laughed out loud.

"But how good does she skip?"

One of them asked.

"Just a heavy bag of pudding, nothing interesting,the last time I let her be a cow girl,I almost lost my life and urge,lazy pillow princess, though she got hand and blow job skills I must confess,she can take you to heaven with her soft palms, you know what I mean".

He laughed,and his friends joined him.

"So you are ditching her for Kira".

Another asked.

"Well, you can't blame me,Kira is a whole upgrade more than the fat cum bag, you guys really don't expect me to be with her".

They laughed loudly.

Beauty froze at the spot staring at her reflection on the glass door,her tears were flowing ceaselessly and hand glued to the door handle.

Hearing all he had said, she told herself not to blame him.

"If I got to choose a girlfriend for myself,as a guy ....I won't choose me".

She mumbled to herself, staring at her reflection.

Nothing interesting in the image she saw, a bare face full of freckles,a brunette hair put up in her favorite pony tail,wearing baggy trousers and shirt to hide her body size, she cleaned her face and slowly let go of the door handle.

She turned around and headed home,there's no need wasting her life with a man who sees her as just an object of satisfaction and mockery.

She thought to herself.

That was 6 years ago and presently, there's Steven,whom she had opened my heart to and shared my past with.

He just unapologetically dumped her same day he proposed

Beauty opened the door to her room and shut it.

Leaning against the door,with her soaked clothes dripping wet.

She removed her clothes and went into the bathroom. After minutes of crying there,she got out and dried her body.

She put on her pajamas and climbed on the bed.

Steven's words echoed in her mind.

"If you ain't so fat maybe the ring would have been your size".

"Wow! What a lady you are, Beauty,I am so sad for you".

She said to herself and kicked off the stuffed toys on her bed and buried her face in a pillow ,crying her soul out.
