"How could you keep this from me? I feel so betrayed, but honestly I can not say I am surprised. I have always wondered what both of you do in that office alone all day".

"Betta!"

"What?, It is not a lie, is it"

"Oh my God, I massage my temple"

"So how is it like dating, New york's most eligible?"

"It is well, full of surprises, I guess."

After Nathaniel's announcement and our kiss, I almost got swallowed up by a sea of paparazzis. It took all the security men and some police to drive them away. After which I was attacked by my co-workers. Betta managed to pull me away from them into the girls bathroom.

"Okay, are we still set for after work, because you and I need to talk"

She says waving her hands around.

"Yes, we are"

Okay I have to get back to work now before I lose my job.

As I walked back to my office a sea of eyes followed me, I could hear them mumbling and whispering.

I step into the elevator thinking I have escaped but then it stops on the third floor and Sasha enters.

Sasha works with the IT department on the third floor, and I have heard from Betta that she goes around telling people she has hooked up with the boss.

The few times we have encountered each other I know she is not a very pleasant person.

"Cheap wh**re, he will dump you as soon as he is done with you"

She says then steps down on the next floor. I am going to need to prepare myself for all this hate, I knew this would happen, am I really ready for it.

There was really nothing much To do in this office, since Nathaniel already left for his meeting. I sit in my office going through my phone and that's when I notice it.

My followers were rapidly increasing in all my social media. My once two hundred followers on tiktok is now twelve thousand and it's still going up, my twelve followers on Twitter is now ten thousand. The same with my Instagram. I also have messages from people I don't know asking how I got Nathaniel Bronze to notice me. Some are just leaving hate comments like #Abiza401 on Twitter #she is not even that pretty, he will leave her soon#.

I set my accounts to private and switch off my notifications.

"Sleeping on duty?" I heard someone say in michael's voice, I jolted awake. I have no idea I fell asleep.

"Oh, shit" I jump into the restroom to wash and wipe my face.

When I come out Nathaniel and Micheal are standing in front of my desk.

"Hey"

I say hoping he does not notice I have been sleeping.

Whether he notices or not he doesn't say. He hands me two shopping bags.

"What is this"

"We are going out together on Saturday and Sunday , I want you to wear these"

As I look through, the logo, Valentino catches my eye.

"Oh no, I have my own dresses, I do not need this, I can not take it".

I do not have my own dresses but that is not important.

"The party is a valentino themed party, so unless you have a valentino dress in your closet at home, you take this".

Who the heck throws a valentino themed party.

"Fine" I say and take the dress "but I'm keeping the label so we can return it".

"Whatever" Nathaniel replies while Michael looks between the both of us amused.

It is closing time and I am packing my things when Michael and Nathaniel step out of his office laughing at something. I have never seen Nathaniel laugh. He is always so serious. It is actually a refreshing site.

"Do you need a ride" Nathaniel asks

It is a very unexpected question so It takes me some time to answer.

"No, Betta and I are hanging out"

"Who is Betta?" Nathaniel asks

"The receptionist" I answer

"Oh"

We enter the elevator together and Nathaniel holds my hand when it is time for us to step out.

All eyes are on us once again, I think Nathaniel notices my discomfort because he gives my hand a light squeeze, which was kind of comforting.

This time I am expecting the kiss so I am mentally prepared for it.

"I will see you tomorrow"

He says pecking me. I feel my cheeks heat up at the feeling.

"Bye" I managed to reply.

"Girl!"

Betta squeals after they leave.

"Come on" I grab her hand and pull her out of the office before looks actually starts to kill.

We walk into Dani's and take a table.

Danielle leaves what she was going and comes to us, she sits beside us and she looks excited.

"So, is it true did you score Nathaniel Bronze"

"You are damn right she did"

"Tell us how you did it"

I stare at the both of them, my two best friends. Betta and I met when I was searching for a job and she told me about the opening in the company and how to get the position, she could have applied for the position but she said she did not have the patience to deal with the boss close up she would have said the wrong things and gotten herself fired, then I asked her how she deals with being a receptionist and she tells me that her attitude is just what a receptionist needs. And for Danielle, her black girl magic drew me to her, and plus the fact I had to pick Nathaniel's coffee from her every morning, I got to know her and we all just became besties.

They look at me expectantly, well if I have to deal with all the stares and comments then I may as well have my fun with it.

"I did not do a thing actually, it just happened really, he told me he found me so attractive and at first I was skeptical because dating my boss, but then he kept asking and buying me gifts I had to say yes"

At this point they are both fawning.

"No, he didn't" Dani says

"Yes, he did," I replied and we all laughed.

We stay there laughing till evening, Then Dani drives us all home.
