I just hate to see her smile

Karen woke up to see lots of messages on her phone.Who could it possibly be than Irene but she isn't ready to see her now.Not after what happened yesterday?.

A knock was heard on her door and Karen turned over sleepily."Come in"She drawled.

Catherine laughed a bit at her expression and stretched out a letter.

Karen carved her eyebrows."And what's this for?".

Catherine smiled."What else could it be?..You won the scholarship to study in Bilton High and you are asked to resume immediately.They spoke with your school administration already."

Karen jumped off from bed at the news,almost falling off."What?!..I won?....oh my goodness.I won!"She screamed happily and hugged her mum."Finally,you don't have to pay my tuition fees anymore,I am so glad."

Ever since she had started schooling,her dad never contributed to anything concerning her,so her mum had been the one to pay every of her needs in school.

"I am sure dad and Kel would be so shocked to hear this.I am finally going to Bilton High. ...I am going to Bilton High"Karen blushed as she walked to the bathroom,whistling happily.

Catherine smiled,worried in her heart about Karen. She hoped history wouldn't repeat itself in her daughter's life.

Leaning on the bathroom wall,Karen splashed some water on her face.So it was indeed true. She was chosen.

Thinking back at the revelation yesterday, she still wasn't sure if she wanna save the world as that woman had implied but at a certain stage,the Powers will begin to work if she doesn't even use them at all.

Could she ever live to everyone's expectations?.Could she do what everyone was expecting her to do?.She screamed and cried with pain engulfing her heart.

Kelly turned only to see her grandma beside her."Are you here to see me or to criticize me again?".

The old woman gave her a knock."you silly girl,didnt I warn you about Jayden?".

Hearing Jayden's name,she sat straight suddenly."I really wanted to ask that.How could he do that?.Did you check him?,does he have powers too?",Kelly asked.Ever since she liked Jayden,she noticed some kind of weirdness in her body but telling this woman here might worsen the plans she had for her.

"He doesn't have any".

"Then how could he retaliate?....or don't tell me Karen has discovered her powers and somehow she knew Jayden somewhere.Could that even be possible?!"....

"You should ask yourself what else you did with Jayden that made him get access to the quarter of powers you have cultivated all these years!.Karen will discover her powers sooner than we can think of and here you are,already giving out what's not even enough for our plans.You had better let Jayden be or else .......".

Before Kelly could reply,she was nowhere to be found.

"Could you stop ditching me when I wanna say something important?.Anyway,don't touch Jayden,I will deal with this myself"Kelly sighed.

Walking out of the room,Kelly saw Karen smiling hard and putting her backpack straight.She scoffed."I just hate to see her smile,hypocrite",She mumbled.

Catherine walked to the table and served breakfast.Her gaze on Kelly."Don't make me throw you outside myself before you do so".

Karen swallowed the words she was about to say when she saw anger written all over her mum's face.Could yesterday's encounter make her change her this way?

"Mum,aren't you happy I got into Bilton High? "Karen asks as Kelly choked on the juice she was gulping.

"W..w..what?!Bilton High...How did you....?.I just hope it isn't my school you are coming to. You dare not",Kelly fumed and left.

"I am just tired of all these.I am tired of your dad,your twin and everything.When will this ever end?.I should have heeded to my mum when she insisted I had to get rid of Kel.I should have listened".

Karen stood up and embraced her."Have you ever thought of me also when you say these things?.How would I have lived if you had taken pills to get rid of Kelly and it got to me instead.Have you thought of the possibility of me dying with Kelly also?Huh?".

Catherine couldn't stop the tears from falling off.She couldn't hold the pain she had felt all these years in anymore.Just a mistake had cost her a lot but still,she still got Karen and thats all that matters.

"I am sorry girl,I just feel too overwhelmed about everything going on.In as much as I don't want Kelly to die,I want her to stop her evil ways but I just can't and it hurts a lot".Catherine broke down in tears,recalling the scenario that happened in the theatre eighteen years ago.

"Mum,I don't think I can push anymore.I can't..I can't"Catherine held her mum's hands as Pain racked all over her body.

"You can do this,Cat.You can't get tired please"Her mum held more tightly as the doctors were trying their best to get the twins out of her.

Suddenly,the doctor took a step back in fright.

The nurses wondered what he saw as Catherine's mum noticed him.

"What's happening?Don't get my daughter killed.Why aren't you doing your job?!"She yelled and the doctor pointed to the machine opposite where they were which was showing the position of the babies...One was holding one back from coming out and the other was struggling to be free..

"H..ow..How..could this happen?"...What's happening?.. Cat.... Whats happening?"Her mum asked,tensed already. How could this be happening at this point in time?..What can she do to save her child?..

"M..um..Mum..where is Scott? ..Where ...is he?"Catherine asked,almost lifeless...

"What does Scott have to do with all these?.Is he holding....".

"Yes mum,Get it quickly for me..."Catherine nodded as her mum ran out.The doctors and nurses stayed aback still shocked at what they saw.

Back as of now, was her choice of keeping her babies a bad idea??..

Karen wiped the tears off her mum's eyes."Don't be too hard on yourself mum.I would try every best I can to stop Kelly from all these evils she has been into.I am her twin and I will make things right for our family even if it would cost me a lot".
