Chapter 10 Rescue Operation

At the base of the bandits,

James Ike, the commander of the tiger army squad, Alice Gray, deputy commander of the tiger army squad, and all their soldiers, Rebecca Moon, commander of the Lion King army squad, Ben Shapiro, the deputy commander of the Lion King army squad, and all their soldiers, John Brin, the commander of the Star army squad, with part of his men, were scouting the bandits and their base inspecting, while waiting for the news from Elen Mata, the deputy commander of the Star army squad and her men, waiting to hear the results from her, securing and escorting the survivors at the Charity hospital building, back to the golden city shelter.

"This place is uncomfortable, I can smell the stench of blood,"

"They are quite ruthless, hope they are prepared for what is coming for them," the soldiers of the three army squads' murmured to themselves in low voices.

The soldiers sent out to investigate on the layout of the base of the bandits returned, the reported their findings, "the bandits are estimated to be around 90, the boss of the Bandits is at the second floor of the building with over 45 bandits, the first floor has over 20 bandits patrolling, outside the base, there are 10 bandits roaming around, patrolling the periphery and finally, 10 bandits, guarding the survivors they captured, torturing them from time to time.

Some bandits were sent to investigate on what happened to the bandits we captured.

We succeeded to intercept them, interrogated and killed them all, they were 3 of them.

From our investigation, they were ordered to investigate what happened to their fellow bandits, and equally find the hiding place of the remaining survivors, who hid themselves around the Charity hospital building and it's environment.

From their report after the investigation, the bandits will act accordingly."

After hearing the report the 3 commanders and 2 deputy commanders discussed further, about 15 minutes later, the concluded.

"Ok, good, now let's wait for Elen Mata report, deputy commander of Star army squad on her rescue mission before we act.

Since I have been appointment my lord Billy, as the temporary main commander of this operation, I will share the roles of each commander, we will attack in 2 fronts, and it will be done by the Tiger army squad and the lion king army squad, leading our troops in two fronts, to create chaos and eliminate the bandits, while providing a gateway for John Brin, Commander of the Star army squad and his men, to successfully rescue the captured survivors.

Every commanders and deputy commanders, prepare for battle and rescue mission, I, James, and my troops will be in charge of taking care of the main boss of the bandits and the bandits surrounding him, Rebecca Moon, commander of the Lion King army, will be in charge of the second front, attacking the bandits at the lower floor of the bandits' basement, creating a save passageway for commander John Brin and his men to infiltrate and rescue the survivors," James Ike said, concluding the meeting.

At the Charity hospital building, the survivors were in chaos and fear, after seeing armed men walking with 2 of their fellow companions who went out yesterday to find for food and water, approaching towards their direction. Some of the survivors were planning to flee before they are noticed, while others new that there is no way out, only a few of them were cautious and apprehensive of the situation.

At this moment, Clara, one of the survivors rescued by Elen Mata and her men the previous day, and now a citizen of the Golden city shelter called her fellow survivors hiding, saying, "Don't be afraid, these men are here for rescue mission, they save us yesterday when we were attacked by Nelson's gang bandits, they are here for rescue mission, the shelter is about 7 kilometers away from here, after explaining our situation to the lord of the gold city shelter yesterday, we were accepted as citizens, fed and provided houses to stay in, and today, the lord ordered his men to bring you safely to the shelter, please trust me, you guys can come over"

The survivors exclaimed, happy to have hope though some hesitation, fear of the unknown, they will die here, either of hunger, thirst, monsters and even fellow humans, it's preferable to take a chance many survivors discussed in low voices, then finally concluded to follow Clara, and trust her words for now, rather than staying here waiting for death.

The survivors began to step out of the Charity hospital building. They saw the soldiers with Clara up close, though afraid, they moved carefully forward making sure that it's not a trap. After, sometime, they arrived.

Clara was genuinely happy, full of smiles. She went forward joyful and greeted her companions, happy that all of them are safe and sound.

After some minutes of discussion between Clara and her fellow companions chatted, the tension reduced. Then , Elen Mata, approached the group of Survivors and said, "there is not much time, we have to go now. The the lord is waiting for our safe return, this place isn't safe."

Elen Mata, accompanied the survivors to the base ensuring their safety, before reporting to her commander, John Brin, Abou the success of the rescue operation, and presently, are going to the shelter with the survivors.
