She parked her bike at the entrance of the threshold and tossed the key to her valet attendant.
"Good morning, Miss Franz, and the gorgeous ride you have here. And don't worry I will keep it safe." A jolly greeting from the valet attendant.
She takes off her helmet and gives it to him as well. "Good morning" She walked past and headed to the foyer. But before the door closes, Macy squeezes herself in.
"Morning, Miss Franz" a petite lady greeted her once more. Few files of folders she has in hand.
Franz gazed at her and tilted her head. If there's anything for me just send it to my desk and I don't want someone to interrupt me at my office. If my father relays a message to me that will count as urgent notice and looks for an excellent suit for me, I have dinner with my father at 6 pm. Remind me, please.
Soon they get out of the foyer, and she walks straight to her office. Franz put her bag down and took off her coat. She scans the mail that is being set on her table while she switches on the computer in front of her. Macy suddenly jumps in with a coffee and some pastries on the basket that she sets on her side table.
"Miss Franz, here's your coffee and I brought you pastries too." She nods and smiles at her lady boss before she exits at the door.
Meanwhile at the hospital, a middle-aged woman is lying in bed with an IV that is attached to her hands and oxygen to her nose to help her breathe. A man watches the lady that is being laid on the bed as he holds her hands.
"Mum gets well soon and beats whatever illness you are battling. I promise that I'll do everything you say just to be alright and always be healthy. I don't know how I will live without you. You are the one and only I have, I want you to meet the someone that I love, and I guess I found her.
She's a beauty but her eyes do talk about her otherwise. Behind those cold auras she had, there's a demeanor that's so gentle and sweet. And one thing that she did for you is she sends you a bouquet of flowers and a fruit basket as she wishes you to get well soon. I want you to meet her one day when you are not here at the hospital and when you recover as well.
And you know what mum, she's the girl that I'll be having a business meeting with, but I canceled it because you need me more than our business and she does understand me. Do you think I should investigate her background so I can know her better?
Drystan keeps telling things to his mum and he knows deep in his heart that his mum knows that she will be glad that he finds someone that can make him smile and someone to be loved by him. The only thing that his mum asked him to do was to focus on something other than business.
Drystan Lynne Brown, a hunk of the business world. He creates his name by taking and making projects from every bidding he gets. His looks are just ordinary but his qualities in terms of business do tell otherwise. He may look vulnerable but he's a badass lad in some ways.
Still a bachelor at twenty-seven, he's not a snub nor picky but he doesn't like being chased by the girls and he doesn't like to flirt as well. He is a straightforward guy, with all business on his head. And he forgot the leisure part of life because of seriousness.
The door of the ward opens, and two chaps enter. A man in his fifties but still a good-looking gent and the attending physician of the lady that lays on the hospital bed in her slumber. The physician walks over to his patient and takes her vitals as he jots down the chart he is holding.
"Mr. Brown, your mum is out of danger already; is that you need to tell her not to do anything heavy that may cause her fatigue? Because her heart is too frail to do vigorous work. Her body can't take that anymore. And by the way, meet Mr. Mc Gregor of Mafia de Mc Gregor. He is the one that brought your mum here."
The doctor explains calmly to Drystan. He lends his hand for a handshake and mutters his appreciation for helping his mother. The doctor left a few prescriptions of medicine for his patient before he exited the ward. Drystan takes the prescription and mutters his thanks to the attending physician. Right then after he offers a seat for his guest, and he takes the other seat in front of him.
"Have a seat and I appreciate your kindness to my mum. She doesn't mention to me that my mum got a friend from the mafia community. And it's a pleasure to meet sir."
The old chap chuckles at him and says, "I love how your mum raises you into a fine and decent gent. I have no doubt that you and my daughter will have a good and harmonious relationship in the future. And it's no big deal helping your mum because she's good to me as well."
Arthur folds his hands into his arms as he sits back on the sofa. On the other hand, Drystan is amused by the words that the old chap said. And he is having some thoughts about why the old chap is being close to his mum. He gazed back at him and doubted if he would ask or not something about the acquaintance of his mum to the old chap.
"Drystan, is your name, right?" Arthur stared at him directly. He just nods his head.
One day you will know about me, why I'm being close to your mum and what's my relationship with her. But you should take care of your mum for me and for my daughter. I want your mum to meet her one day. Be patient and you will know in time. And I can't stay for long because my daughter is waiting for me at home. She will make me dinner and I love that when she spoils me with all her cooking. And I'll be looking for a day that you and your mother will be a visitor in my abode. That will be a pleasure."
After bidding goodbye to the old chap Drystan is holding a card given by him with all the questions that run through his head. He looks at his mother who is still laying on the bed unconscious.
