Chapter 2 His Virgin Wife

Olivia's POV

After I showered, I quickly put a soft carpet on the floor and sighed as I looked at the man sleeping peacefully on the big, soft bed. "Why don't you sleep on the bed?" he asked as he slowly moved and opened his sleepy eyes.

My heart skipped a beat when I heard his magnetic voice, and I turned around to glare at him.

I bit my bottom lip, then spoke. "No problem. I can sleep well in this room." I tapped the carpet and picked up a piece of blanket and a pillow. Then he laid down like I don't care about him tonight.

I heard him grumble, "I don't know why women are so hard to understand. You could sleep in the same bed as me and nothing would happen between us. You understand? Because I'm not attracted to you. I like wild women who are wild in bed---"

I cut him off, "Shut up! I don't want to hear about the crazy things you do with the people you sleep with! You don't have to say that to me. I'm a normal person, and a normal person like me shouldn't have conversations about sex with you. Good night."

He chuckled like a maniac in the corner, and he said, "Good night."

***********

I woke up with a heavy thing on my arm, and when I opened my eyes, I saw his arm tightly wrapped on my shoulder, and I couldn't even breathe better. I pushed him away, and frowned at him. "What are you doing?"

"Good morning." He said as he lifted his arm, and stretched it calmly. He looked at me, and said, "Oh, sorry, I forgot that you slept down here."

I mimic him, "Oh, sorry, I forgot that you sleep down here." Then I rolled my eyes, and checked my phone. My eyes widened as I saw the time, it was already noon!

"Oh, gosh! We will have lunch today with my parents, and we are still in pyjamas. Come on, get up! They don't like to wait!" I said as I tried to get up, but he grabbed my feet causing me to flip, and he caught my fragile body.

"Uhh, you are so heavy." he smiled like a psycho.

"Don't do that ever again!" I hate him for doing this to me, it looked like he likes to play with me.

"Don't worry, they'll understand why you're late. They must be thinking we did something dirty last night." He winked at me, trying to tease me.

I hit him in the chest, and he got up. "You are so annoying, you know?"

"You were the only girl who left me a bone." He spoke quietly.

"What did you say?" I gave him an angry look, but he just shut the door to the bathroom and left me mad. I wanted to scream in his ears because he made me feel this way. If marriage looks like this, I don't want it anymore.

After I finished putting makeup on my face, Matthew opened the door with an impatient look on his face, "Are you done?"

"Not yet, five minutes." I said.

He grabbed my hand, and grabbed my purse, "Let's go."

"What are you doing?!" I pushed him away but he locked the door already, and we walked to the elevator in a rush, and he was still holding my hand. We both looked at each other's hand, and suddenly I let go of his hand and sighed, "I hate you."

Matthew glanced at me, "The feeling is mutual. So we need to endure each other forever ...."

I walked past him, and walked as much as I could. He was left behind but he was walking calmly, and everyone stared at him when he walked to the lobby. Damn, this man likes to be everyone's attention. I waited for him at the entrance, and I was startled when he held my hand.

"Just hold my hand." He whispered.

When I looked around, I saw that everyone was looking at us. I gave him a sweet smile and a kiss on his mouth. "Anyway, the driver hasn't shown up yet. So why must you hurry me?"

"Well, it's better to be on time than late, and there he is! He got there on time." He gave me a wink, and the car in front of us stopped. He helped me get into the car like a real gentleman.

But inside the car, I flinched away from him. I was disgusted to hold his hand, and his expression darkened. He said to the driver, "Drive."

When we arrived at my parent's house, I saw my half-sister, Madeline. She swayed her hips sophisticatedly while she was walking towards us. She smiled at me, and said, "There you are, Dad has been waiting for you."

I smiled back, "I know."

She stared at the man behind me, and she said, "Hi, I'm Madeline. Olivia's half-sister."

Matthew just nodded his head, and went inside without glancing back at her.

I winked at Madeline, "Sorry, I married a douchebag." Then followed Matthew inside, I saw him shaking hands with my parents, and they were both sitting on the eight sitters table. Madeline came in and asked the butler to serve the food already.

"Make sure it's hot before you serve it." Madeline told the butler.

I sat beside Matthew, and pulled the table napkin on my lap, and he watched me doing that. He smirked, "Hungry?"

I nodded my head as I replied to him.

Mom asked, "Liv! Darling, how were you last night?" She smiled at me.

I bit my lower lip, and glanced at Madeline who was staring at me. "I'm fine, I slept on the floor last night.

Everyone was silenced as they heard that from me and I continued, "I married a stranger man, so what would you expect me to do? Love him immediately like I've known him for years?"

Matthew sighed, "Yeah, she's right."

Mom glared at me, "But you know, you have to be a wife."

I chewed my food, and nodded, "Yeah, but not too fast, mom."

Madeline chuckled softly, "Well maybe Olivia still adjusting of her new life-"

My mom cut Madeline off, "Madeline, I'm not talking to you. Eat your food because this conversation is about Olivia."

Madeline inhaled a deep breath and raised her eyebrow, "Oh, yeah?"

My father said, "Madeline is right, maybe your daughter is still adjusting to her new life. Let's give her time to get used to her new life. If two separate rooms can help them to get to know each other better, that would be okay."

Mom didn't like it, so she slammed her hand on the table and said, "No, you can't do that. Well, my daughter just got married, and she has a husband. What would people say about marriage if they know this? It was worthless and shameful. I'm just protecting the family's name."

Matthew cleared his throat and used a napkin to wipe the edge of his lips. "I think I've had enough of this kind of talk." He stood and gave me a quick look before saying, "Stand up, we're leaving."
