Chapter 5 Gold

Athena eyes slowly opened but no bright light shine on her but she only saw darkness.

Air was also limited and once her senses came back, she realized she was under the duvet covered from head to toe.

She sat up and removed the duvet from her face and took in a deep breath. She looked around and found that she was in a strange place, a place she doesn't recognize and she furrowed her brows in confusion but once she observed her surroundings more close and her memories returned, she remembered where she was.

She was staying in the house of her husband that refused to care about what she will eat after getting back from their wedding.

She yawn and stretched, she looked down at her skin and saw that it looked normal. She breath a sigh of relief but then she remembered she was under the duvet but she was sure she never got under them at all much more to be covered from head to toe.

She became quiet suspicious, or did she do so and forgot?

But that was impossible for her, she couldn't have forgotten like that. She was not the type to forget things at all and every moment in her life ever since she was six was recorded and stored in her brain and it was not going anywhere.

I couldn't doubt herself about this matter as it was obvious to her, in accordance with her memory that she didn't do it but it has to be someone else but who could it be?

Was it her husband? But her husband could not careless about her eating, why would he come over to her room and then cover her with a duvet?

Whatever the reason maybe, she was sure he saw her naked if he actually did.

If he did, what was his reaction to seeing a naked woman lying on a bed in front of him? She wonders.

His reaction would give her the answer she needs to give to the questions she has and for the media.

Speaking of the media, she knew that their wedding should be everywhere on the internet by now and also some talks about his sexuality and her purpose of marrying him.

She took her laptop from her things she has not bothered arranging in her room.

She went online and the first thing she saw was about their marriage. There were some many talks about their marriage everything she guessed that would be on the topic was right.

Some called her a gold digger which she actually was.

Some said it was an arranged marriage which was most definitely true.

Some said that he is gay and she was going to suffer a lonely life which she doesn't think is far from the truth either.

But regardless of the negative comments, this marriage still serve as a confirmation that her husband is not gay and he is a responsible man that has began his own family.

Well with that, she closed her laptop. Both her parents and her husband has gotten what they wanted. Now it's just left for her to bare with his unloving husband until the end of the contract and she will be free.

Her stomach grumbled and she remembered she had not eaten through out yesterday.

This has never happened before cause as the daughter of one of the richest family of the city, she is not allowed to go hungry except she was in a diet and she has never needed to be in one as she is always fitted. She always exercise to stay in shape and look perfect all the time.

She got out of bed looking really exhausted like she fought with someone in her sleep.

Her stomach was completely empty and she was and she was not working with her power but just her will and a helpful wind that pushes her to her destination which is the bathroom. She swayed as she journey there.

After finally arriving, she turned on the shower immediately over her head and remained in that place for a while.

"Madam, where are you going?" He asked her.

"I'm leaving but I'll be back so don't worry." Athena told him politely.

"But madam, You are supposed to be on your honeymoon remember? You can't be seen here."He argued.

"I know that that's why I'm dressed like this. I have no friends so there is no one I'm going out to meet and could blow my cover. Nobody knows me that well so please don't worry." Athena explained calmly. Her voice very low and had no life whatsoever and the butler certainly noticed this. She seemed really tired and depressed. She was so pitiful and his heart went to her.

"Madam you do not look so good, are you okay? Have you eaten breakfast?" He asked her with care evident in his voice.

Athena smiled. This was something new that she had never experienced, someone asking after her when their not obligated to but just out of concern.

"I'll go out and I'll eat breakfast then." She said then proceed to leave but just at that moment she remembered something and stopped, she said without looking back at him, "Where is my husband?" She asked.

"He is probably in the study room." The butler answered immediately.

"Please make sure he eats and you don't have to cover up for me. If he asks where I am, tell him I left if you want to."

"But madam, this is still risky no matter how I see it."

"Sir..., I've been obedient all my life, I even married your boss even when It has been a while since I last saw him, don't you think I should at least disobey just once?"
