Chapter Four; The Christmas party.

Aiden's POV.

It was already three twenty pm and I was already dressed in my Black Armani Blazer suit that fitted my me really well. The dinner was schedule to start by four pm today because of the meeting that would take place after the peripheral party and the meeting was definitely going to be a long one since the mundane were directly involved this time around. I am good looking and I know it and I have to look even more handsome since I'll be escorted by a beautiful lady such as Ivy, it was definitely an honor for me. Which one can't take for granted hence too the initiative pay more attention to my out fit. But when I thought of my dress just now, I couldn't help but think of Ivy's package that I ordered to be sent to her yesterday, I went to great lengths to specifically choose a very beautiful dinner dress for her hoping that she would wear It to the dinner. I was even as precise enough as to choose matching color with my suit, black was the colour, justlie mine, we would-be a powerful couple together because like it or jot, black exudes power. I was then surprised when she said she didn't receive the the package, I didn't outright tell her ur was from me so I didn't push it any further when she said she didn't get it. That didn't mean though I wouldn't investigate it, I did and everything lead to one thing, that she has received the parcel, the opposite of what she said, maybe she did receive it and was shy to tell me because she'll definitely guess it's from me, there are two people that would gift her a pretty dress the day before she goes for an important and interesting dinner party with such dignitaries. Russ is the first person and then me, only because I would be her date and I think only two of us inow, Antonio excluded andd I feel like she will definitely tell her friend Russ, not that it's a aeret or something like that but it was under a short notuce and I don't think Ivy would be that interrested in revealing to just every vampire that comes her way. Maybe she did not like the dress and wanted to disregard it, of better still, she wanted to surprise me by saying she didn't receive it but later wearing it. I was excited. Nonetheless, I was still eager to see her, everytime, she was always wearing baggy tee shirts and jeans or lose and plain throuser whenever she was in the academy, it'll be good if she wore a dress. I was already in front of her room, although I could just easily teleport myself inside her room, ancient vampires which are one'sborn by other vampires have more advantage of being able to teleport to anywhere they wanted to without having to be or know how it is like unlike other5at would require to make contact with a place before they can easily teleport. I wanted to be a gentleman today, didn't want to annoy her. She is a lady of principles. So I did the right thing anyone would do, I knocked once, knocked twice and the third time I actually entered the house, my patience was not that much. She was not inside, her scent lingered in the room but not her presence, after a little minute, she appeared in the house too. When I saw her, I literarily froze on the spot, she really did surprise me, but not with the cloth I had expected, she wore a very bright red colored slim fitted dress. It wasn't too tight but it made justice to her body and brought out all her perfect figures. It's such a shame she always hid all that behind those baggy clothes. 'Why... Why do you always hide all these behind baggy shirts and trouser' I starmered while motioning to her backside, it was pretty impressive, scratch that, very interesting, I would love to hold that and feel the softness with my hands, suddenly dirty thoughts started clouding my mind. She smiled shyly after understanding what meant, it was the first time I saw her being shy, she's cute. Makes me want to undress her and do some ungodly things to her. When we arrived, she seemed in a hurry to let go of my hand after teleporting her and myself to the Rock Hall, the place where Grand High Master usually holds his infamous parties. She moved from my embrace and looked around her. I just stared at her while she admired the scene before her. She looked young, happy and full of energy, I felt happy just looking at her. I smiled and extended my arms towards me her again, 'Let's go,' I said with a smile engraved on my face. The hall was beautifully decorated but this time it was extra maybe because of the changes incurred. I greeted the vampires I came across, kept the gift we brought, we danced and generally had a good time. It felt like we were any other normal couples attending another ball and just having fun. Having fun until I heard a mind link telling me to come to the conference room, I already know where it is so I naturally headed that way while holding unto my date. We entered the office that revealed other vampires, the room was not decorated like the hall we just left. Many heads turned and looked towards our way when we entered the office room, I nodded at some of them and was heading to take a seat but I noticed the Grand High Master was right in front of me. I greeted him again very politely, "Your highness" Then I noticed his eyes were glued to Ivy, I though he had "other plans" for her so I held her tightly. "What did you say your name is young lady?" He asked in a serious mood. I quickly sent her a mind link to use her full name Ivanka, since he was serious, he would not apprecate her using a short form of her name. She's smart enough to give a one word answer. "Ivanka" I gave her a thumbs up in my mind. "I know! her beauty might have been enchanting enough for you that you brought her into the Inner chamber" I actually knew he was going to talk about it. I only remembered only High Masters' or their representatives whould partakee in the meeting. I was carried away by her beauty and entered the chamber unintentionally with her. I didn't argue, 'Excuse me then Grand Master, I'll take care of her before coming back' I said I did not want her wondering too much and getting lost, do I just took her to one of the Grand High Masters' Launge, coincidentally his consists were there too, maybe they could be friends. After making sure she'll not make a scene and wait for me, I head towards the conrence room again, earlier, the mundane were not yet in the room. But when I came back Mundane scent could be felt in the room. After we all were settled down, the Grand High addressed us. We started by introducing ourselves I we could refer to ourselves by name if need be. So these were the stakeholders in earth, They seemed normal to me, except some of them appear to be proud from the way they talked and did things. We talked about how the world would be if vampires were aloud to stay among the mundane and they on the other hand were permitted to stay in our world, maybe creating a precise portal like an airport where one would easily travel between the two dimensions, one of the consensus e came up to was that, we'll try it first and see, if nothing happens, or if the damage incured by the other party is minimal, then we would proceed with it. After a while, we were having a recess because the Grand High's attention was needed for a while, some members went out to meet their companions while other still stuck around and I also wanted to be with Ivy so I headed to the lunge where ai earlier left her, there was nobody there. I would have think she's too bored and gone back home but I don't think he could teleport between dimensions, maybe she just went t the hall because some people were still there enjoying themselves. Maybe I should have just taken her earlier I thought. I used the elevator to take me to the hall but then I suddenly perceived her scent, it was too strong and it felt like she was worrying, as if something was happening fo her, she certainly wasn't breathing normal. And another scent that I couldn't decipher hovered around hers', I was worried. To my surprise, when I opened the elevator, She was there but she wasn't alone, she was kissing someone. And I Heard her say, "why did you kiss me!" I thought he forced her and wanted to go after him but then I heard him speak. "Judging by your response, you seem to like it and you didn't refuse me" he was right, the Ivy I know wouldn't just let anyone kiss her ones she wanted. Allthee while maybe she's been seeing him, no wonder she doesn't want to acknowledge my love for her. I was devasted and to wore it, he added; "You still taste the same Ivy, sweet, Oh how I missed you". I couldn't stand there again, I disappeared from the place, I was so so so disappointed, I coulnteven say angry but disappointed at myself and at her. I noticed she saw me before I left, but I didn't care, I didn't bother about anything, I just wanted to be as far from her as I could.
