Chapter 8 8

"Look at this, I got this necklace from my prince, Robio. He's going to be my boyfriend!! My dream has finally come true."

Thei, my friend, shouted excitedly, making my ears hurt from her loud voice.

"Tonight, he's taking me on a date."

"Wow, congratulations!"

"Thank you, Sandra."

It's been more than a year, and I haven't seen Aldyn, my school crush, he seemed to disappear suddenly. My relationship with Robio is in a terrible state. He's dating the woman he desires, and I can never forget Aldyn, who has vanished from my life. Oh, shit! Every time I have sex with Robio, I close my eyes and imagine I'm with Aldyn.

"Robio."

I stand in front of Robio's house, gazing into his eyes with an inexplicable sadness. Both my parents died in a tragic accident. Why did the people I love have to leave me? I lost Aldyn suddenly, and now I have to lose both my parents?

"Sandra."

I cry and hug Robio tightly, sobbing harder.

"Sandra, come inside."

I sit in his living room, watching him bring warm milk for me.

"For you."

"Thank you," I reply with a blank expression.

Robio sits beside me, and I can feel that he shares my sadness. He holds my hand.

"I'll be with you."

I lean into his embrace, clutching his waist tightly.

"Everything will be okay, alright?"

I feel incredibly comforted in his arms. He's like a protector and always perfect for me. He's warm and romantic.

"I won't leave you, my babe."

"Thank you, Robio."

Our togetherness is interrupted by the ringing of his phone. I release my grip on his waist, and I see him decline the call, then he hugs me tightly again. Robio always does this whenever we're together, he doesn't allow anyone to disturb us.

"I love you, Sandra."

I receive a warm kiss on my forehead. His personality is so warm, no wonder he became the school prince after Aldyn disappeared.

"Why do I have to remember that figure again after choosing Robio as my lover?"

"What did you say, babe?"

"Just that I love you."

The next day, my extended family held a funeral for both of my parents. I've been silent, staring at my parents' coffins since morning. This is incredibly painful for me. Why do I have to lose them over and over again?

"Sandra, I mourn your parents' death with you."

"Thank you, Thei."

Throughout the funeral proceedings for my parents, Robio continues to embrace me, making me believe that he won't leave me alone. Robio and Thei's relationship ended after we graduated from school.

"Sandra, I need to go see my parents to discuss your life."

"My life?"

Before I can finish asking, I see Robio has already left me.

After the funeral, we go to my parents' graves. At the cemetery, I catch a glimpse of a man that surprises me a little.

"Aldyn?"

I'm surprised and quickly approach him, but I lose sight of him after reaching him.

"Where?"

"Sandra, let's go home."

My extended family and I return home. Inside my house, I see Robio's parents talking to my uncle.

"Sandra, we've discussed your future life. We've decided that you'll live together with Robio."

I'm quite surprised by their decision, but I can only accept it. I think Robio is my boyfriend, so it's not a

problem for me to live with him.

"I'm really grateful that you're letting me stay with you." I smile at him.

"Why are you talking like that? Oh, by the way, I have a surprise for you."

"A surprise?"

Robio gives me the university alma mater sweater of my dreams, which makes me pleasantly surprised and happy.

"Is this for real?"

"Do you like it?"

I nod happily and hug him tightly.

"Thank you so much, Robio."

Robio wipes away my tears and kisses my forehead.

"Babe, you don't need to work hard to earn money for your education because you already have what you want."

I smile and hug him tightly again.

"Thank you so much."

"Okay then, go to bed because it's already late."

I smile, Robio becomes even more warm and gentle with me, pushing Aldyn's place in my heart aside. My feelings for him grow stronger.

"Thank you, Robio."
