Chapter 5 Poor Eyesight

Before Selena could answer, she heard again Mathieu's deep, masculine voice which exactly sounds like a cello.

"Mrs. Hemsworth.... If this is the case from now on, you are clearly my legal wife."

Selena was speechless!

Damn it... I'm barely making thousands, much more millions, yeah? Gosh!

When the man finished his sentence, Selena raised her head, surprised and her cheeks flamed up even deeper as she caught on the man's dark pupils.

Thinking the trouble she got herself into, Selena couldn't help but sigh.

She don't really have anything to blame for this other than being poor!

Anyway. This must be what it feels like to be struck by lightning!

Damn it.... Why the hell did even she play with fire?.... What got into her to suffer this too much injustice?!

Where on earth did she really pluck the courage from?!

She'll surely be his living prisoner or worst be his living doll?! Ha no way!!!

"Cough, cough, cough..." Selena coughed incessantly; to where her thoughts tempted her to be, terrified. "Mr..... Mr. Hemsworth... Did I hear you wrong? I understand if you want to hold me accountably but-but living in one rough isn't necessary to do such, yeah, also wait..." Selena paused as if realization came upon her wits, she shook her head and cover her mouth in surprised. " You don't mind?! You... You really want me to be your wife!? You want to be my husband!"

Mathieu held out his hand when he noticed her coughing. He gently patted Selena on her back. "Yes, you heard it right... Wife."

Selena's brain exploded and she lost her ability to think...

"Ah haha no, don't call me that... Im not worth of that title, yeah... Because it doesn't! It doesn't make sense at all!" Selena blurted out unable to accept the situation.

"Don't worry. As long as I am your husband, no one will dare to come closer than one meter, this serve to all men until we separate. Whoever crosses the border will be...."

Selena asked nervously, "Will what?"

"Perishable." Mathieu whispered coldly leaving cruelty in it. His eyes were full of coldness and ruthlessness.

Seing Selena in turmoil the man tried to ease the air around them and was about to approach her. Unconsciously, Selena tried to avoid Mathieu, but her new title as his wife made her stiff and froze directly on her spot; not cooperating with her brain!

Because of her desire to live, her body stiffened. She clearly already knew who this man was, and the dark bloodthirsty he was ruling in. She might die if she offends him.

She still looks like a scary witch or demon who had escaped from hell!

This man's taste was very weird.

But she doesn't really understand his motive at all... Does he don't have a taste of woman? If she hadn't seen her reflection in the rear-view mirror, she would have thought that she was the most beautiful woman on the face of the earth, but the truth was the opposite. Or perhaps he was attractive to opposite gender! Is he a gay and use her from attracting people from guessing at? After all people love rumors and to stick on other people's business... So he's a gay! Yeah no! He's too handsome to be!

Probably something wrong with his eyesight! Yes definitely, maybe she could encourage him to treat his poor eyesight without offending her so called-husband!

Selena was silent for a moment and turned to Mathieu. Unconsciously, she said, "Mr. Hemsworth, is your vision blurry??"

Mathieu was speechless!

But all these rich men changing girlfriend like changing shirt, once they holds no interest anymore! Will i can count on that too right?. Plus, this is completely normal, yeah?

Maybe after a few months he will leave me and go with another girl... That's possible, yeah, after all he's a handsome guy, every girl from every corner would lust on such a handsome rich guy like him, yup... So it wouldn't be posible for him to have an interest!

At the thought of this, Selena felt a little relieved.

"Mrs. Hemsworth, what do you think?" Mathieu glanced at her, waiting for her response.

Selena was speechless.....

Her response...her brain is so empty already!

She was the shameless woman...who asked for marriage as a reward. Then, after receiving the reward she wants a divorce immediately!

Can she still reject him? And say what? That she doesn't want a marriage life and only wants a one night stand? Yeah not reasonable at all!

At this moment, Selena felt as if her heart was on fire. "I... What I'm thinking.... I really am... I am very thankful for your kindness, Mr. Hemsworth..."

What is she even talking about?!

It did not occur to her that Mathieu, known as the king of the underworld, the cruel male creature, will be very innocent and pure when it comes to relationships thing?!

Anyone will absolutely succeed on courting this man?!

Even the ugly looking monster she had was no exception!

Mathieu's hands, gently patting her back, froze for a moment. He seems to be thinking about this matter. "Really?"

Selena answered, "Yes! So shouldn't you reconsider about it? Further yeah?"

Mathieu looked at the woman. "Mrs. Hemsworth, are you trying to give me a hint that staying with you for a lifetime is wiser?"

Selena was speechless!

Why on earth did he have such a scary thought?

Selena almost choke on her saliva. "No, no, no... That's not what I meant. I have no intention to stay with you whatsoever! NO, yeah... I mean, it's not my intention not to pay you Mr. Hemsworth, of course. That's too ungrateful and disgusting!"

"Stay is not mandatory." interjected Mathieu.

Selena was stunned.

She could only console herself with the thought that she didn't have to die now.

"Can... Can I make a small request? Because of my work, maybe we can keep our relationship a um kinda like secret from others..." Selena composed herself and regained a small part of her rationality. She brought up the most important point first.

"Your work will never be affected. I will not interfere in your affairs." Mathieu promised, "Is there anything else?"

Selena felt guilty when Mathieu spoke cautiously. "Nothing else...for now..."

This husband appeared out of nowhere...was freaking like a tornado!!!

Her next goal in life, is to earn money, and then to break up with Mathieu! All ties shall be cut, the earlier, the better!
