Chapter 4 BILLOWS

All of the hassles and epic remembrance was one of Alice's episodes which occurs to her so many times, she literally sleeps off remembering the incidents and definitely wake up with serene blankness and confusion. She had the episodes the previous night as she cried herself to sleep, she woke up and quietly left for work without bidding a bye to both parents.

The sun was quite unfriendly, harsh and relatively at its peak because on average, about 3 people out of 5 are either sweating, using a hand fan or trying to board a vehicle as soon as possible. The sun glared its tentacles even though the sudden reality ought to be dry-cold season in this side of the country.

Yes, the branches were dry and falling off from different trees but it was as though the sun took a new shape to suspend what is supposed to be a dry cold weather. Alice almost knew that the weather would most likely be like that because the scorching weather has been consistent for three days running, so she dressed up quite prepared for it as she made her way to the book shop where she sells books and rent out some literary work to people who are interested.

She would always describe the book store as a safe haven because all she love about life revolves around book and communication, but that's definitely not how her day would go (usually, she goes to work and read then sell some books and go home), she would definitely have a twist of a match, something that would challenge her love theorem and either change her perception or make her live in absolute denial forever.

Alice was unfazed by the hotness of the day because she wore something very light, something quite revealing and less tacky which made it possible for her body to absorb more air and concentrate on her work.

Alice has been known to be a very direct lady, straight to the point and forward person because her engagement is always with less words of communication except when she is holding a conversation with a family member and friends who would most likely want her to go into details of what she was talking about and this always get her pissed without expression but she always end up doing it because her trail of friends are small and she was scared of losing the few she has left.

While Alice was cleaning up the store that afternoon, she moved from shelf to the door and noticed that the entry sign she left outside had fallen, so she stepped out quickly to pick it up before her lousy boss sees it and start complaining as usual. But something different happened when Alice got the door of the store, she noticed a young tall black guy who was just 500 yards away from the store staring at her, she could not quite place the face but she was uninterested about what he wants. "Maybe he is one of all these perverts " Alice mumbled in her breath as she turned back to step inside as soon as she set out the sign that had fallen.

The young guy staring at her didn't weaver but become more intent which made Alice uncomfortable because she just remembered how an event like this played out to be a major disaster in her life, so she went in and maintained her cool while in thoughts.

The young man from couple of yards away was Rodrigo who was waiting for a friend but saw Alice from his point and could not take his eye off her. The first expression he made when he saw her was "Matchless Beauty beyond compare " because she just clicked all the boxes in his imagination, so Rodrigo ( many times called Rodri ) could not stop starring at her even though he was very shy to walk up to her because he has never done that with any lady.

When Alice went in and Rodri could not see her again, he quickly looked at the sign of the store and discovered that it was a book store, he was glad because he loves reading and would most likely engage her with that and attempt to get her number from the conversation, so he went into the store to meet up with Alice.

When Rodri got into the store, he noticed that Alice was alone at the managerial quarter so he walked up to her and said "hey Good afternoon, my name is Rodri and I'm looking for Williams Shakespeare's latest work, I can't but notice your store when I saw you launch out, so my mind was quickly fixed at a gaze to what you have here ", Rodri was not looking for any Williams Shakespeare's material, he was rather attracted by Alice look, stature and beauty. "what a queen!" he imagined in his mind, it became even worse when Alice game him a bold resolute face, yet smiling as though she knew him before.

Alice quickly turned back to check if they still have the latest collection of the requested book and Rodri took a quick peep at her backside. He could not explain what he saw, if Deity can be described in human form, then Alice is the description of the finest deity. He was confused because all his desires and imagination was found in one person, something he never believed was possible: "could this be a set up? "

Rodri imagined and took another peek at Alice who was still busy looking for the book that Rodri had requested for. "Can you check it on your system before looking for it?" Rodri asked her in an attempt to interrupt her from taking time to look for it on the shelves but Alice politely told him that their system broke and they are waiting for the engineer to fix it.

The search went on for another minute before Alice declared to him that the version of Shakespeare's work they have is outdated and cannot be sold, rather she opted to make a recent work available for him the following week if he would come for it.

Rodri agreed and opted to collect her number in order to ask call her before coming the following week and Alice gladly gave him the office number before he made his way out.
