"Already, my child is depressed, you see!" chirped a man who walked into Cilla's room without permission.
He is William, Cilla's first brother, who just arrived at George's house at seven in the evening with his wife and child, Zero.
"It's just delicious! How come Zero is depressed? He's really comfortable for me to hug; look at him getting sleepy from the comfort of my hug," Cilla replied, not accepting it. What he said was true; Zero's eyes were almost completely closed now that he didn't realize that his father had just arrived and was chatting with his aunt.
"Mommy said you arrived home late in the evening, but how come it's late, even though I already missed Zero so much?" Cilla continued discussing her mother's words, which didn't match the facts.
While sitting beside Cilla, William snorted harshly at that. "Mommy may have miscalculated; I left the house in the afternoon, so it will be night! But now Zero is here. So, why should it be an issue?"
"Hmm." And Cilla's response was just a short cough, making William snort harshly again.
"Come on, talking to you is exhausting." William also got up from his seat and was about to leave Cilla's room, but before that, the man said it for the umpteenth time.
"Remember! Don't make Zero cry! Me and yesterday are going to rest! So, don't let Zero cry and disturb our rest!" said Williamnod was lazy by Cilla. After that, the man left Cilla's room without forgetting to close the door.
Hierana Bianca has been William's wife for four years. Hiera herself is originally an American-Indonesian crossbreed with a predominant Indonesian look, but that doesn't fade away from the typical American look. Her face is dominant, like that of an Indonesian with round eyes and olive skin, but the woman's eyes are light brown.
"Hmm, where has Zero ever cried with me? He's so comfortable that he fell asleep like this," Cilla muttered after William left.
Slowly, the girl put Zero on the bed and made the child's position as comfortable as possible before Cilla pulled the blanket to cover half of Zero's body. Not to forget, Cilla set the AC temperature so that it was standard for children-not too cold or too hot.
Cup!
I don't know how many times Cilla has kissed Zero's chubby cheeks today; the point is that the girl is too passionate about Zero, so she can't stop herself from kissing her nephew.
"Why can't I cuddle this?" Cilla muttered while gently stroking Zero's cheek, who now seemed to be sound asleep in his sleep. The boy didn't seem bothered at all by Cilla's hand movements that gently stroked his cheeks, occasionally kissing them. Cilla seemed never tired of looking at Zero's adorable face.
Cilla's movement stroking Zero's cheek stopped when she remembered something; she spontaneously tapped her forehead lightly. "Aunty forgot to give the gift that Aunt prepared for you, Zero. Just a moment," Cilla said as if talking to Zero, who was awake, even though the child still had his eyes closed.
The girl got out of bed, then stepped into the walk-in closet where clothes and all her belongings were stored.
In just a few seconds, Cilla came back out with two paper bags containing clothes and toys that were bought especially for Zero. Cilla put it near the bed so that when Zero wakes up, she won't forget to give it directly to the child.
"Aunty, stay first, Zero," Cilla whispered softly in Zero's ear while stroking the boy's head before he left the room, leaving Zero sleeping in his sleep.
Cilla took a step carefully and closed her bedroom door for fear that Zero would wake up.
"Cilla! Where's Zero? You secretly kidnapped Zero!"
Just as Cilla was about to go down the stairs, she was already surprised by the appearance of Ernest, who happened to have just reached the second floor by climbing the stairs too. The man immediately said, No, relax.
"What the heck! Who kidnapped Zero?" Cilla replied with a sneer, feeling completely innocent for having taken Zero and not letting her older brother Ernest let go of Zero's longing.
"Yes, your! Who else? Where is Zero?" Again, Ernest asked nonchalantly; he was a bit pissed off at his little brother, who casually took Zero away when his nephew just got home.
Cilla chuckled harshly. "He's sleeping! So don't disturb! It's better if you just leave, sis," replied the girl casually, making Ernest even more annoyed.
Without saying much, Ernest strolled past Cilla without replying to his sister's words. Cilla growled in annoyance at the sight of him, especially after seeing the direction in which Ernest was going to make him nimble to catch up with his older brother before something he didn't want happened to Zero. Cilla doesn't want her nephew to wake up and go to sleep because of Ernest's actions.
"Hey! Don't bother Zero! What will he do when he wakes up?" Cilla said, holding back Ernest's movement, who was going to open his bedroom door.
"Who's bothering? I just want to meet Zero! Ernest's words made Cilla roll her eyes lazily.
"Yes! But don't let Zero wake up!" Remember that! If Zero wakes up, you have to be responsible! Cilla said firmly before she turned her body back and then walked away from Ernest, as Cilla's initial goal was to go to the first floor.
Ernest stared at Cilla's departure with a sneer before he entered the girl's room to meet his nephew, whom he missed so much.
Because for now only Zero is Ernest and Cilla's niece, Zero becomes a bone of contention for both of them and their parents. The point is that everyone loves Zero and often fights over the child when William and his wife and children return home.
**
Exactly at eight in the evening, Zero woke up from his sleep. The boy looked around the place occupied to sleep. His round eyes met a man who slept beside him in a sideways position. One of the man's hands was on Zero's stomach, which made the boy move uncomfortably, trying to get rid of the hand that was bigger. bigger than the belly.
"Eunghh, it's so heavy," Zero complained in a very low voice.
"Uncle Er!" called Zero out loud. But unfortunately, there has been no response from Ernest, who is fast asleep.
It seemed that the man who had only wanted to see Zero for a while ended up falling asleep beside him in Cilla's room. Previously, Cilla wanted to lie down in her room too low because of Ernest. I don't know where the girl is now.
"Uncles!" Zero called once again; the child's face was even reddened between being annoyed and wanting to cry because Ernest's hand never left his stomach; instead, Ernest tightened his embrace on Zero as if the child were a bolster.
Unable to bear the feeling of discomfort due to Ernest's embrace, Zero ends up crying hard because he has no other choice but to cry.
"Whoa!"
Due to Zero's crying being so loud and Cilla's room not being soundproofed, the child's crying could be heard outside the room, as evidenced by Cilla's quick arrival to her room with a very worried face.
"Eh, Zero dear, why are you crying?" Panicking, Cilla approached Zero and Ernest, who never woke up from their sleep. Zero's cries apparently weren't enough to wake the man up.
"Aunty." Zero called Cilla while she spread both hands, coding Cilla to carry him.
"Come on, don't cry; why are you crying, hm? After Zero was in her arms, Cilla asked again gently while wiping Zero's tears that didn't stop coming out. Zero's face was completely red.
Still snoring, Zero answered Cilla's question while pointing at Ernest. "Uncle Er is naughty!" He hugged me really tight and couldn't let go! Zero fights funny.
Cilla was confused and wanted to be angry or laugh at Zero's expression, which really looked adorable.
However, the girl immediately turned her gaze to Ernest, who was still fast asleep. It seemed that the man was so exhausted that he didn't wake up even with Zero's cry.
"Aunty, why are you silent?"
Cilla suddenly woke up from her reverie. She immediately looked at Zero, who was still crying, though not as hard as before. "Okay, don't cry anymore; later Aunt Er will scold Uncle Er," Cilla said softly.
"Now get out, come on! Zero must be hungry, right?" Cilla said again with a reassuring smile while wiping away Zero's tears that had stopped.
Zero nodded slowly; only with Cilla's words did the child obey. Both of them came out of Cilla's room, leaving Ernest, who never woke up. I don't know; it's like this guy just died.
"Mommy and Daddy, where are the Aunty?" Zero asked with his innocent gaze that looked up at Cilla, plus the face after crying made him look even more adorable; everyone who saw him probably wanted to kidnap the child.
'Can you bite his cheek or not?' Cilla thought about holding back from biting Zero's cheek, because if that happened, Zero would cry again, and Cilla would be the one to bother herself.
"Mommy and Daddy are resting, honey, so you and your aunty first," Cilla replied gently, together with the two of them, who had reached the first floor with Zero still in Cilla's arms.
And, again, Zero nodded obediently, not sure if he and Ernest would obey when he was with Cilla like now.
"Zero, honey, I just woke up, huh?" A voice from the direction of the living room made Zero turn his head with a faceful of breath.
"Yes, Granny," Zero replied, nodding.
This question came from Prana, who had been in the family room earlier. Actually, earlier, Cilla and her mother were chatting casually in the living room, discussing Cilla's work, which Cilla had been doing for almost a week. However, due to the sound of Zero's crying earlier, the conversation between the two was cut short.
"Why is Zero crying hm?" asked Prana at the same time as Cilla, who brought Zero to sit beside her mother.
Just as Cilla had done before, Zero returned to answering Prana's question in an adorable tone, causing Prana to immediately take over from Cilla's lap.
"Don't be sad; Granny will pay you back for Uncle Er's misbehavior," said Prana, making Zero nod several times.
"Thanks, Granny. Granny and Aunty are the best," Zero replied while hugging Prana tightly.
"Zero is Granny's most adorable grandson!" Prana said with a short chuckle.
Cilla, who saw that, smiled. "This Zero doesn't want to eat." The girl's chirping made Zero realize who immediately held his small stomach.
"Eat, Aunty; Zero is hungry," Zero replied while showing his pitiful expression.
"Let's go to the kitchen with Aunty!"
"Just now Zero was with Mommy, already you just take him again," protested Prana, who felt it was unfair with Zero, who was immediately taken over by Cilla.
"Zero is hungry, Mom," Cilla replied casually, without the burden of carrying Zero into her arms before heading to the kitchen.
"Zero is like being monopolized," Prana muttered.
